President Biden's Massive Infrastructure Plan Faces Stiff Resistance

President Biden's Infrastructure Plan President Biden's Massive Infrastructure Plan Calls for $100 Billion in Broadband Funding

President Joe Biden is facing some very stiff resistance on his massive infrastructure plan.  Republicans say it's a liberal big-spending agenda which comes with major tax increases, such as hiking the corporate income tax from 21% to 28%.  Biden says that's he's open to negotiating the $2 trillion package, but inaction is an option.  The bill is entitled the American Jobs Plan.  While the plan calls for $820 billion on roads, bridges, railways, airports, and power grids, there's also massive amounts of money going towards projects that have nothing to do with infrastructure such as $400 billion for health care for the elderly and disabled.  Senae Moinority Leader Mitch McConnell stated that this bill is a "Trojan horse" for massive tax increases for a whole lot more debt and a whole lot more spending.

Republicans are saying that the Democrats are stretching the term "infrastructure" which has nothing whatsoever to do with infrastructure spending.  Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, (D-NY) tweeted, "Paid leave is infrastructure Child care is infrastructure, caregiving is infrastructure."  Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) shot back and stated, "Abortion is infrastructure, gun control is infrastructure, forced unionization is infrastructure."

I believe the purpose of the bill is for Democrats to ram through spending for their special projects.  They'll do it under the title, "infrastructure" and add many things to it that have nothing to do with infrastructure whatsoever.  As of right now, Senator Joe Mancin (D-WV) isn't in favor of this huge spending bill.  Let's hope that stick.    Click on the above link from CBNNews.com.
