Obama Adviser Gruber Admitted That Obamacare Might not be Affordable

Obama Adviser Admitted That Obamacare Might Not be Affordable

MIT Professor Jonathon Gruber

What a revelation!  Do you think that surprises anyone that has the ability to think objectively?  Jonathon Gruber was the architect of Obamacare.  He got paid $400,000 to write the legislation out of taxpayer dollars.  If anyone ought to know it, it would be Gruber.  Obamacare is a joke assembled together and railroaded through by Obama's minions: Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid, to name a few.  Gruber said that Obamacare had no cost controls and that it might not be affordable when writing the bill with the White House.  I believe when more is uncovered in the months to come, this could have the makings of a huge scandal.  Gruber was also a counselor to President Obama and was also a part of his transition team when Obama was about to become president.  Gruber is just as much in this mess as Obama, Pelosi, and Reid.  This whole coverage deal stinks to high Heavens and it goes to show the level of corruption in Congress and the White House.  To read the full story, click on the above llink from FoxNews.com.

Gun-Related Police Deaths Jump 56% in 2014

Gun-Related Police Deaths Jump 56% in 2014

police shooting
With 2014 only one day to be through, 126 of our law enforcement officers, nearly 56% of our nation's police officers have died in the line of duty this year.  It's a 24% increased from the 102 who died in 2013, according to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund.  Ambush shootings among police officers resulted in 15 deaths.  Felonious incidents resulted in the deaths of 62 police officers, according to the report.

What's disturbing is the lawlessness that's taking place against America's law enforcement.  Today, if a white officer shoots a black criminal, so-called civil rights leaders such as Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton try to paint the officers as the bad guys, which isn't true.  Therefore, it gives "protesters" the green light to vandalize and loot our cities because they know that nothing will be done to them, which is what happened in Ferguson, Missouri last month.  Sadly, our liberal politicians are promoting this junk and they aren't supporting our nation's law enforcement in stopping criminals.  The truth of the matter is it doesn't make any different what the race of the criminal is.  A criminal is a criminal regardless if it's white, black, Asian, Hispanic, etc.  It's time to stop the racial nonsense.

Expert: Another Housing Bubble is Likely if We don't Change Our Policies

Another Housing Bubble is Likely if We Don't Change Our Policies

Earns Fannie MaeFannie Mae Headquarters in Washington, D.C.

The reason why we had the housing bubble to begin with in 2008 was because the government told investment banks to water down requirements for homeowners to purchase themselves a home.  One time in 2000, they were beginning to accept zero down payments.  These subprime loans were killing us because those who were trying to purchase a home didn't qualify and it ruined the housing market.  The same thing is likely to happen again as long as the government is in the basis of making housing "affordable".  If prospective homebuyers can't afford to make the payments, then they don't need to be given a housing loan.  It's as simple as that.

Obama Releases 5 More Gitmo Detainees With Ties to Al-Qaeda

Obama Releases 5 More Gitmo Detainees With Ties to Al-Qaeda

gitmo
Here's where I stand concerning Gitmo:  If George W. Bush, when he was president, would've subjected the Gitmo detainees to a military tribunal to try them for war crimes, we wouldn't have to be faced with the issue of Gitmo and President Obama releasing Gitmo detainees.  During the Bush administration and even during Obama's administration, there has been much debate over using torture methods such as waterboarding to extract information from Gitmo detainees to find out what the terrorists' next moves are.  If we would've tried them a long time ago, it would've been a different story.  I'm not opposed to using methods to extract information from war criminals to determine what the enemy's next move is.  However, leaving these detainees in Gitmo for over 13 years is stupid considering in World War II and past wars the U.S. used military tribunals to convict those guilty of war crimes.  We still need to be doing that.  Click on the above link to read the story.

Baby Jesus Statue Stolen: Replaced With Pig's Head

Baby Jesus Statue Stolen, Replaced With Pig's Head

This is the story I actually intended on posting.  I didn't recognize the story that I had posted wasn't the same incident as the one in Massachusetts.  The Massachusetts' story is the one I'm focusing on--the one where the baby Jesus statue was stolen and replaced with a real pig's head.  It's very gruesome.  Some police think it might be a hate crime.  I believe it's blasphemous.

The police contacted the FBI after the gruesome discovery on Christmas morning that a baby Jesus statue was stolen, and replaced with a pig's head.  A priest from Haverhill's South Main Street made the discovery early Saturday morning.  Police believe the head was placed there between 1:30 a.m. to 6:30 a.m.  Click on the above link to read the full story.

Obama: We're Ending Combat in Afghanistan

Obama: We're Ending Combat in Afghanistan

President Barack Obama at Marine Corps Base HawaiiPresident Barack Obama

In a pair of statements on Christmas Day, President Obama stated that we're ending our "combat missions" in Afghanistan but that U.S. forces will remain there to conduct "counterterrorism operations" against what he called "remnants of Al-Qaeda.  The President also said of Afghanistan on Christmas Day that it won't be a source of terrorist attacks again.

The question I have to ask President Obama is why didn't he finish the job of completely destroying Al-Qaeda before now instead of the U.S. supposedly leaving Al-Qaeda and leaving behind forces involving themselves in conducting counterterrorism operations against the remnants of Al-Qaeda.  That's very stupid.  The war in Afghanistan should've ended when Obama's predecessor, George W. Bush was in office.  I guarantee before too long the U.S. will be just as embroiled in Afghanistan in the near future like the U.S. is involved in Iraq supposedly trying to fight "ISIS" or the Islamic State.  To read the full story, click on the above link from CNSNews.com.

Obamacare Fines Rising in 2015

Obamacare Fines Rising in 2015

For those who don't have health insurance---BEWARE!  Starting in 2015, fines for those who don't possess some form of health insurance will be rising!!!  For this coming tax season the IRS will be collecting Obamacare fines.  For 2014, fines were $95 per person, or 1percent of household income, whichever is higher.  In 2014 the fines will be $325 or two percent of income, whichever is higher.  In 2016 the average fines will be around $1100, based on government figures.

As we see Obamacare unfolding, this whole healthcare system is nothing but highway robbery which all it will do is take from the taxpayers and won't offer affordable healthcare.  To read the full story, click on the above link from FoxNews.com.

NBC Omits Jesus During Segment on Importance of Christmas

NBC Omits Jesus During Segment on Importance of Christmas

On Christmas Day NBC aired a segment about what Christmas is about to certain people and one key component that was missing was the birth of Jesus.  That's tragic.  Consequently, our news media is anti-God and doesn't want to give God credit for anything.  Our court system has been at war with Christmas for some time.  They want to totally secularize Christmas and omit the part which makes Christmas what it is--that is God's gift to this world by sending His son to die for us on the cross.  Click on the above link to watch the video.

Wake Held For Rafael Ramos

Wake Held For Rafael Ramos

It's a very tragic to see what transpired last week in the wake of the 2 NYPD officers being shot and killed.  What's even more tragic is the Obama administration waging war over police officers doing what they're supposed to do in the line of duty.  I've never seen an administration play the race card over white police officers shooting black men like I've seen out of this administration.  It just gives the lawless the green light to continue despising and shooting at local authorities because they know they won't suffer for their consequences, like the rioters did in Ferguson, Missouri.  I have zero respect for what the Obama administration is doing to law enforcement.  Click on the above link from FoxNews.com to read the full story.

Merry Christmas!

Matthew 2:1-8, 16-18 "Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem.  Saying, where is he that is born King of the Jews?  for we have seen his star in the east and have come to worship him.  When Herod the King had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.  And when he had gathered all the chief priests and of the scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born.  And they said unto him, in Bethlehem of Judea: for thus it is written by the prophet, And thou Bethlehem, art not among the least of the princes in Juda: For out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel.  Then Herod, when he had privily called the wise men, enquired of them diligently what time the star appeared.  And he sent them to Bethlehem and said, Go and search diligently for the young child; and when ye have found him, bring me word again, that I may worship him also. . . . . vs. 16.  Then Herod, when he saw he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently inquired of the wise men.  Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet, saying, In Rama there was a voice heard, lamentation, and weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, and would not be comforted, because they are not."

I omitted some verses for the sake of time, but the point of the story was that Herod felt threatened when he heard that Jesus was born, the promised Messiah that was prophesied in ages past.  Now here the time came when Jesus was born.  Herod was troubled by that and he had sent the wise men to find him.  However, in verse 12, they were prompted in a dream to not return to Herod, so they went back to their own country.  Herod had lied to them and told them that he wanted the wise men to find Jesus so he could worship Him.  But Herod didn't have that intention.  Instead, he wanted the Christ child slain.  Since the wise men didn't grant Herod's request, Herod ordered all the firstborn from two years and under to be slain in Bethlehem and the coasts thereof.  Before then, an angel of the Lord appeared unto Joseph and told him to take Mary and the young child to Egypt because Herod had sought to slay him.  Joseph and his family stayed in Egypt until the death of Herod.

Herod was fearful that Jesus would have his throne someday.  Many Jewish people of that day were looking for Jesus to one day set up his kingdom here in this earth and deliver them from the Romans.  Jesus said in John 18:36 that his kingdom was not of this world.  Jesus didn't come to establish a kingdom in this present world.  He came to fulfill the law of man in his body, which was something man couldn't do.  He came to offer himself as the spotless lamb before many.  He came to die for the sins of mankind that man could be redeemed from his sins.  There will come a day when Jesus establishes his kingdom.  But it won't be in this present world.  His kingdom will be established following his Second Coming.  He will rule and reign with a rod of iron and righteousness will rule the day.  Until then, we can celebrate that hope that lies within us.  We can celebrate the birth of Jesus because one day he offered himself upon Calvary as a gift to the world that mankind might be redeemed from his sins.  Thank God for that.  When we celebrate Christmas today, let's not forget the price he paid on Calvary that we may have life.

I want to wish all you blog readers a Merry Christmas today.  In concluding this post, I'm going to feature a colossal of Christmas music, symphony orchestra music, Handel's Messiah, and anything that revolves around Christmas.  I hope you enjoy all the YouTube videos.

Billy Graham on Christmas

Billy Graham on Christmas

nativity

Evangelist Billy Graham was preaching to employees at the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and said that Christmas is much more than what we see and hear on television.  This whole thing is about Jesus.  He stated when he looks into the Christmas manger, he sees the "greatest teacher that will ever live."

First of all, I would like to point out that I know when he said Christmas manger, he was referencing it to Jesus being born.  However, Jesus is no longer lying in the crib.  I'll take it further:  Jesus is not only lying in a crib but he's no longer hanging on the cross nor is his body in the tomb.  He is risen and alive forevermore.  That's what makes Christmas special.  We're serving a live Saviour who's risen from the grave.  And secondly, there's no dispute that Jesus was the greatest teacher of them all.  However, what makes Christmas special isn't just the fact that Jesus is the greatest teacher that will ever live.  It's not that he gave us principles to live by in all his preaching and his teaching even though he did that.  What's special when one considers Christ's birth is the fact that he was a gift from the Father to mankind.  He came to earth and offered himself as a gift to mankind on the cross so that man could be redeemed from his sins.  He came to give life to man.  That's what makes Christmas so special.  Every child of God has life inside him/her.  Jesus gives life to man to those who will receive Christ.  And again, I'm not trying to minimize the fact that Jesus was a great teacher.  But Christmas wouldn't have the meaning it has if Christ didn't offer himself on the cross as a gift to mankind that we might know the free pardon of sin.  It's what Jesus did for us on Calvary that makes Christmas worth celebrating for mankind.  I thank God for that.

Franklin Grahams "Politicians Aren't Going to Solve Our Problems...Only God Can

Politicians Aren't Going to Solve Our Problems

l   Rev. Franklin Graham

Franklin Graham, son of Evangelist Billy Graham and president of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association was on Hannity on Fox News and was mentioning the many problems this world have.  He rightly mentioned that the Democrats, Republicans, nor the Tea Party can straighten out the 'mess' we're in.  Only God himself can.  He's right on target.  Christian conservatives and evangelicals have placed so much emphasis on political involvement to the point that we've forgotten the person who will straighten out the mess we're in.  I recall Christian political groups such as the Moral Majority and the Christian Coalition emphasizing the importance of voting for the right candidates who's views are in alignment with traditional evangelical views.  These organizations have spent millions upon millions of dollars in hopes that we can straighten this nation out with the right candidates enacting laws that will emulate the Bible.  In spite of all the work that has been done by these two organizations and countless others, our nation is more wicked than before, Washington is more corrupt than ever and you can hardly distinguish between the two political parties.  The truth is politics isn't going to solve this mess.  That's very evident.  The only answer is the Lord Jesus Christ.  That won't happen until his second coming when his kingdom will be established.  Only then will this world be straightened out.  But that's during the Millennial Reign--not this present world.

The History of Handel's Messiah

The Glorious History of Handel's Messiah

Handel's Messiah Premieres in Dublin

Handel Messiah
George Frederic Handel

One of the great masterpieces during the Baroque era in music was Handel's Messiah.  This oratorio was composed by George Frederic Handel.  The Messiah premiered in Dublin, Ireland on April 13, 1742, during the season of Lent.  This sacred piece of music was an Easter offering.  It was never intended to be a piece of Christmas music.  In today's society the Messiah is performed in churches and concert halls across America a few weeks leading up to Christmas.  It's as popular of a Christmas tradition as the hanging of the evergreens, Christmas trees, and all the trappings of Christmas.  In Owensboro, Kentucky, the Messiah was performed on December 7, 1941 at Third Baptist Church, Pearl Harbor Day.  Ever since then, the Messiah is performed around December 7th in Owensboro.

According to History.com, the inspiration for the Messiah came from a scholar and editor Charles Jennens, a devout evangelical Christian concerned with the rising influence from Deism, which is the philosophy that God created the world, set it into motion, and then withdrew himself from man's daily affairs.  It was one of the philosophies that resulted from the Enlightenment, the 18th century movement that placed much emphasis on science.  Drawing source material from the King James Bible, and the Book of Common Prayer, Jennens edited and compiled a concise distillation of Christian doctrine, from the  Old Testament prophecies concerning the Messiah's coming through the birth, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ and to the promised Second Coming and the Day of Judgment.  Jennens took this libretto to his friend George Frederic Handel and proposed it form the basis of an oratorio expressly intended for the performance in a secular setting the week preceding Easter.

The Tradition of Christmas Pudding

The Tradition of Christmas Pudding

Christmas pudding is the traditional end to British Christmas dinner.  Christmas pudding originated as a 14th century porridge called "frumenty."  It was made of beef and mutton with raisins, currants, prunes, wines and spices.  This was eaten more often like a soup and it would be eaten more as a fasting meal in preparation for the Christmas festivities.  By 1714 King George I re-established it as part of the Christmas meal given the fact that he enjoyed plum pudding.  To read more about Christmas pudding, click on the above link to read the details.
