In Tuesday's special election in the sixth congressional district of Georgia, Republican Karen Handel easily defeated Democrat Jon Osoff in which turned out to be a huge victory in what was considered a possible referendum on next year's midterm election.  She replaced former Congressman Tom Price, who is now Health & Human Services Secretary.  She won 59.1% of the vote, compared to 49.1% for Jon Osoff.
