CNN/ORN Poll: Hillary Clinton and Chris Christie in a Draw

Hillary Clinton & Chris Christie in a Draw

Former 2008 Presidential Candidate Hillary Clinton and New Jersey Governor Chris Christie

According to the CNN/ORN international poll New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has a 48 to 46 percent lead over Hillary Clinton in a hypothetical 2016 presidential race.  As of right now, the race would be in a dead heat if the election were held today.  The New Jersey governor polls ahead amongst independent voters and men while Clinton holds a strong lead among women.  Neither Christie nor Clinton have announced their intention to run in 2016 but both are considered strong potential candidates in 2016.

I will say this: if the GOP's chances in 2016 rely upon the nomination of New Jersey Chris Christie, then the GOP is hopeless.  Christie isn't what the GOP nor the conservative voters need for president.  He's a RINO and he fits in well with Obama as well as any establishment Republican.

I want to wish all voters a Happy New Year and may 2014 be the most prosperous year ever for everyone.

Joy to the World: Jesus is Coming Again

Matthew 24:30-31 "And then shall appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of Man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.  And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Jesus told his disciples in Matthew chapter 24 what the signs would be of his coming.  He was warning his disciples about false Christs appearing claiming to be Christ and some would say Christ has appeared in certain places here on this earth.  Jesus told his disciples not to believe them.  Jesus also mentioned about the Great Tribulation that shall take place upon this earth during those seven years.  Prior to the Great Tribulation, the church will be taken out of this world and God will be raining judgment upon this world.  The antichrist will be making his appearance and ruling this world during that seven-year span.  Following the end of that span, Christ will be coming in the clouds to establish his kingdom and then as the Christmas song "Joy to the World" reads, the earth will receive her king.  Jesus will establish his kingdom upon this earth for a thousand years which scripture refers to as the Millennial Reign.  It will be a time when there will be perfect peace on this earth.  Sin will reign no more.  The lion will lay down with the lamb.  It will be peaceful bliss for a thousand years.  Then Satan will be let loosed for a season then fire will melt the elements of this earth and Satan and all those that rejected Christ will experience the Second Death for eternity in the Lake of Fire.

For the last two millennia God's people have been looking for Christ's appearance.  Even the apostles, including the Apostle Paul, were looking for Christ's appearing during their lifetime.  In this instance I'm meaning the rapture of the church where all those dead in Christ shall arise first and those that are alive and remain will be caught up with them in the clouds.  (I Thessalonians 4:16)  As I speak in this hour, we are living in the Dispensation of Grace or the church age.   Following the rapture of the church, there will be seven years of Great Tribulation, then at the end of seven years of the antichrist's reign on this earth, then Jesus will come again the second time.  When Jesus came to this earth the first time, he was robed in flesh as a babe in a manger.  He was the meek and lowly Jesus.  The second time he comes he will come as the KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.  He will be crowned King.  He will be seen in all his royalty.  He will establish his kingdom in the Mount of Olives where he will rule with a rod of iron.  His righteousness and glory will hold sway during the thousand-year reign.  Once that dispensation is over with, then there will be a New Heavens and a New Earth.  Eternity will be bliss and all the saints will be worshipping the Lord.

Christ could come at any time.  I trust that we'll be ready for his coming!

One Final Note:

Joy to the World was written by Isaac Watts.  It was never intended to be a Christmas song.  However, it's been a popular Christmas carol for at least over 200 years.   When that song was incorporated into Christmas I have no idea.  It was based on Psalms 98.  Even though that song is making reference to the Millennial Reign, we can still sing it every Christmas because there will be a day when the reality of those verses will come to pass.  Merry Christmas!

House Intelligence Chair: Benghazi Attack 'Al Qaeda-Led' Event

House Intelligence chair: Benghazi attack 'Al Qaeda-led event' | Fox News

According to multiple on-the-record interviews with the Head of the House Intelligence Committee, the 2012 Benghazi attacks was an Al-Qaeda-led event.  They were pre-planned in advance.  That's what Mike Rogers (R-MI) said in a November interview to Fox News.  The New York Times stated in their 'investigation' that the attacks were led by local militias and an anti-Muslim video played a role in inciting the attackers.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was an Al-Qaeda-led event.  It happened on the 11th anniversary of the 2001 terrorist attacks upon the World Trade towers and the Pentagon.  The U.S. consolate was attacked killing four Americans, with one of them being former U.N. Ambassador Christopher Stevens.  To read the full story, click on the above link from FoxNews.com.

Joy to the World: Christ Died on the Cross for Mankind

Matthew 26:36-42 "Now cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and saith unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder.  And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be very sorrowful and very heavy.  Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here and watch with me.  And he went a little further, and fell on his face and prayed saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.  And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour? Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.  He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done."

You can see Jesus was facing his greatest moment during the 33 years he lived on earth.  I'm sure some people would be surprised Jesus praying that prayer to his Father, but you have to remember that Jesus was robed in a body of flesh.  He was God-incarnate.  He dwelt among men.  However, he didn't possess a sinful nature.  He never sinned. But he was human.  He had a body that was subject to the same temptations as man was.  He also faced temptation such as Matthew 4 where Satan tempted Jesus to jump off the pinnacle of the mountain to prove that he was the Son of God.  He already knew what temptation was like.  However, he was facing something he had never faced before in times past nor would he ever face again.  Jesus tasted death for man.  When I say death I'm not making reference to physical death on the cross, as excruciating as that was.  Believe me, being beaten and tortured on the cross was nothing to wink at.  When we read about how he was beaten and tortured to a pulp, it's more than enough to make a person shudder, to say it mildly.  Hebrews 2:9 states that Jesus was made a little lower than the angels and that he tasted death for every man.

What does it mean when Hebrews says that he tasted death for man?  Isaiah 53:5 says, "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed."  Romans 8:3 states that Jesus was the perfect sin offering.  In other words, mankind's sin was heaped upon Christ when he hung on the cross, once and for all.  He paid the debt once and he'll never have to pay for it again.  He learned what sin was like while hanging on the cross.  He experienced the loneliness and rejection sin brought to man.  He died a vicarious death.  He took our place on the cross.  He paid the debt that man could never pay.  In paying that great price upon the cross he experienced rejection from the Father.  Matthew 27:46 says that Jesus uttered, "My God, my God why hast thou forsaken me?"  (paraphrasing).  He experienced everything that hell could muster upon him.  It was horrendous.  Here was the Son of God that had always had fellowship with the Father.  Jesus is the third person of the Trinity.  Jesus never had broken fellowship with the Father until he went to the cross to pay for mans' sins.  There Jesus for the first time felt the pain and anguish of his Father forsaking him.  That's how wicked and black sin is to God.  It's beyond one's imagination to see what Jesus had to face.

Because Jesus paid the debt on Calvary that man could not pay, we can rejoice and sing "Joy to the World."  The blessed Saviour came into this world to pay the debt that Isaiah prophesied.  With Jesus being born in a manger, that reality was yet to come.  That's what makes that song so special.  One of these days when Jesus comes back to this world a second time those verses to that beloved Christmas carol will come to pass.  What a day that will be!

Federal Court Declines to Halt Same-Sex Marriages in Utah

Federal Court Declines to Halt Same-Sex Marriages in Utah

It's a great tragedy in America when U.S. District Judge Robert Shelby can overturn a law that Utah voters passed in 2004 which bans same-sex marriages.  Utah is a state where the Mormon church opposes same-sex marriage.  The judge used the 14th amendment as a lame excuse that sodomite couples' rights were being violated by the ban.  That's nothing but judicial activism that's unconstitutional.  Also, America's founding roots were based on Judeo Christian values and Christianity has always condemned sodomy, much less gay marriage.  Our country is turning towards a totalitarian state where the voice of the American people doesn't matter, such as the case in Utah.  Of course, same-sex marriage is an abomination regardless of what anybody says because God has condemned homosexuality in the Bible.  To read the full story, click on the above link from FoxNews.com.

Merry Christmas!

I want to take this time to wish all the blog readers a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.  I trust that everyone will take time today to ponder the reason and the true meaning of Christmas.  It's a very special time where we can reflect upon the birth of our Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ and remember what his purpose in coming to this earth is.  Because of Jesus we have hope which is something no man, no organization, or the government can give.  I'm going to feature several posts featuring Christmas music, such as George Handel's Messiah and special musical artists, and other Christmas specials.  Merry Christmas!
