Federal Debt Nears $16 Trillion

Federal debt nears $16 trillion, with no easy way to pay it down | Fox News

As it stands, the national debt keeps growing and growing with no end in sight.  You can't trust any of our elected elite (Democrat or Republican) to make the Draconian cuts necessary to avoid sliding off the nation's fiscal cliff.  When this headline was posted, the U.S. national debt was approaching $16 trillion.  Today the total debt may have surpassed $16 trillion.  As terrible as the debt is, the interest on the debt is killing us.  Economic experts are saying we are almost the point we can't pay off the debt.  We're almost to the point where we can't even pay the interest on the debt.  It's not going to be a pretty sight when payday comes.  We'll be enslaved to China when that day comes.  They own some of our bad debt.

Boehner Mocks GOP Platform: ‘I’ve Not Met Ever Anybody’ Who Read It

Boehner Mocks GOP Platform: ‘I’ve Not Met Ever Anybody’ Who Read It (Video) | CNSNews.com

John BoehnerThen House Minority House Leader John Boehner (R-OH) unveils the 48-page "A Pledge to America" on September 23, 2010.

Have you had too much to drink, Mr. Speaker?  You're very candid in mentioning you haven't read the party platform.  Why say that right before the GOP convention?  I understand that you favor a one-page platform and that's understandable, Mr. Speaker.  But you don't help your cause saying you haven't read the party platform.  Of course, it doesn't make any difference to you or your Republican cohorts what the platform says anyhow.  You're not going to fight for what you claim your party believes in.  You've shown that during the last two years since you became Speaker of the House.  You only care about the issues when it comes to certain elections such as the one in 2010 which resulted in you becoming Speaker of the House.  Once the election is over, who cares about the
issue.  You want the issue but you don't want to solve the problem.  That's descriptive of you and the current Republican leadership in the House.  You need to be voted out in November.

You mentioned in Tampa that you believe that the party platform should be a one-page document.  The truth is the "A Pledge to America" that you House Republicans unveiled in 2010 was 48-pages long. Regardless whether it's one page or more, you need to know what's in the platform.  Otherwise, you're saying what's written on the platform isn't worth the cost of the ink to print it.

This evening New Jersey Governor Chris Christie will give the keynote address and Ann Romney, wife of Mitt Romney, will be speaking at the convention this evening.  To read the full story, click on the above link from FoxNews.com.

Ronald Speaking at the Republican National Convention in 1964

Ronald Reagan, an aspiring political leader and Hollywood actor at the time, spoke at the Republican National Convention at the Cow Palace in 1964.  The convention was held in San Francisco, California.  He was speaking on behalf of the late Arizona Senator Barry Goldwater, who was the GOP presidential nomineee that year.  He faced incumbent Democratic president Lyndon Johnson that year.  Goldwater lost to Johnson in a landslide that November.

Ronald Reagan's speech was entitled, "A Time For Choosing."  That was a timeless message worth hearing over and over.  Reagan knew what freedom was about.  It's very obvious in his speech.

Neil Armstrong, First American Man on the Moon, Dies at 82

First man on moon Neil Armstrong dead at 82 - chicagotribune.com

Former NASA astronaut Neil Armstrong who landed on the moon on July 20, 1969.

U.S.astronaut Neil Armstrong, the first American man to take a giant leap for mankind by setting foot on the moon, has died at the age of 82, according to his family.  Armstrong died from complications following heart-bypass surgery he underwent earlier this month, just two days after his birthday.  As commander of the Apollo 11 mission, Armstrong became the first man to set foot on the moon on July 20, 1969.  As he stepped on the dusty surface, Armstrong proclaimed, "That's one small step for (a) man, one giant leap for mankind."  Those are considered one of the best known quotes in the English language.

Biden Compares Republicans to 'Squealing Pigs'

Biden compares Republicans to 'squealing pigs' | Fox News

Vice President Joe Biden

Vice President Joe Biden is changing his tactics by claiming Republicans want to put people "back in chains" for some other new imagery.  This time he likens GOP lawmakers to squealing pigs.  He's making reference to them as squealing pigs over Republicans objection to financial regulations on Wall Street.

I find it somewhat interesting because Joe Biden himself ought to know what it means to be a squealing pig.  The Democrats are masters in behaving like squealing pigs.  They've perfected that game to a 'T."  I can remember former Democratic Congressman Alan Grayson (D-FL) make the erroneous claim on the House floor in 2010 that Republicans want old people to die because the Republicans in Congress were opposed to the passage of the Affordable Care Act or Obamacare.  I find it very hilarious.  The Democrats have mastered that game.

Former president Bill Clinton and current Secretary of State Hillary Clinton

Allow me to make a prediction for you:  Hillary Clinton isn't going to run on the VP slot in this year's presidential election.  Hillary will play second fiddle to nobody when it comes to the presidency.  It's one thing for her to be the Secretary of State in the Obama administration but there's no way she's willing to be a vice-presidential candidate regardless who the presidential candidate is.

Will Hillary run for president in 2016?  I don't know.  It depends upon whether or not the forces of Nimrod have a role for her in presidential politics at that time.  Otherwise, she probably won't.  I'm assuming the reason why she's not challenging Obama is because the powers-that-be don't want her as president.  That's why Obama was unopposed in this year's presidential primary.  That's my opinion whatever it's worth.  The 2012 presidential ticket on the Democratic side is Obama-Biden.

Rep. Todd Akin: Pregnancy From Rape Rare

Rep. Todd Akin: Pregnancy from rape rare - SFGate

Rep. Todd Akin, R-Mo., had called pregnancy after rape "really rare." Photo: Orlin Wagner, Associated Press / SFMissouri Congressman Todd Akin.  He's running against Democratic incumbent Claire McCaskill in the Senate.

Republicans seem to know how to say things the wrong way.  Six-term Congressman Todd Akin (R-MO), is no exception.  Akin is running against incumbent Claire McCaskill in the U.S. Senate.  In an interview, Akin quickly backed off comments he made in which he told an interviewer that a woman's body has ways to prevent pregnancy during rape and that such pregnancies are very rare.  So far everything that Akin said was correct.  His statement up to this point is factual.  Here's where Akin got into trouble:  He was asked the question would he support abortions for women who have been raped.  His response was, "It seems to me first of all from what I understand from doctors that's really rare."  He went on to say, "If it's a legitimate rape, the female body has ways to try to shut the whole thing down."  That's where he got into a firestorm.  What does he mean when he says legitimate rape?  In other words if a woman is raped and becomes pregnant, then that rape is illegitimate or not a rape at all?  It's a bad choice of words.  Rape is rape.  Rape is wicked and repulsive regardless if a pregnancy results from it or if it doesn't.  He placed himself in a situation he didn't need to be in.  He's going to have a difficult time in digging himself out of a hole on this issue.  We don't need those kind of comments from a Republican candidate running against an incumbent that needs to be defeated.  His foolish comments could change the dynamics of that race.

According to a Fox News website on Tuesday August 21, 2012, Todd Akin says he's staying in the Senate race despite the "rape" comments a few days ago.  Many Republican politicians such as GOP candidate Mitt Romney and former Republican Missouri Senators Kit Bond, John Danfourth, and John Ashcroft have all called for Akin's resignation from the U.S. Senate race.  To read the full story, click on the above link.

E-Mails on Solyndra Provide New Details on White House Involvement

Energy Dept. e-mails on Solyndra provide new details on White House involvement - The Washington Post

President Barack Obama with Solyndra Chief Executive Gronet.  He toured the solar panel company in 2010.

Speaking of throwing good money after bad, The Washington Post revealed that President Obama's staff arranged for him to be personally briefed last summer on a loan program to help clean-energy companies, two months before the program was thrust into headlines by the collapse of his flagship, the solar company Solyndra, according to records.  So in other words, President Obama had to known of the shaky financial position Solyndra was in when he poured millions of dollars into this company.  You don't throw good money into a company that doesn't have much of a future.  Solar energy as of right now doesn't have enough of a market to throw good money into a company who's financial position is shaky.  Of course, our federal government likes to throw taxpayer dollars to companies that are failing.  It's all about supporting their cronies in high places.

Congressional Approval Rating Matches Record Low of 10 Percent

Congressional Approval Rating Matches Record Low of 10 Percent

Shouldn't it be any surprise that the Congressional approval rating of 10 percent matches February's record low of Gallup's 38-year history of its survey?  It doesn't surprise me.   It doesn't make any difference anymore who's in charge of Congress.  It doesn't make any difference if the Democrats or Republicans are in charge.  It's irrelevant.  Congress can pass any law they so desire and exempt themselves from it.  For example, in 2010 Congress passed the Affordable Health Care Act (Obamacare) and they (Congress) have exempted themselves from the provisions of this so-called healthcare bill.  What kind of Congress is this?  They simply don't care.  They will be fine and they will be taken care of by their donors from a financial standpoint.  They can go to Congress and become exceedingly wealthy while in office.  They don't need their constituents.  The interests of the constituents in their districts mean nothing to them.  All they care about is winning re-election and pushing forth their socialist agenda.  The Republicans aren't going to do anything to stop President Obama's socialist agenda.  House Speaker John Boehner said some time back that Congress was going to fully fund the government and wasn't going to defund Obamacare.  That comes from a man who spoke about repealing Obamacare prior to the November 2010 election.  The Republicans, led by John Boehner, also carved out a "Pledge to America" and said Congress was going to start doing the people's business.  Look how far that's went.

This fall every voter in all the Congressional districts throughout America need to vote out every incumbent in the House of Representatives.  In the Senate where there are seats up for re-election, all the voters in those states need to vote out the incumbents holding those seats.  We need to send a message to Congress telling them if they don't stand for God, country, and the Constitution, like they should, they will be voted out of office this fall.  That may not change much but at least Congress will receive the message that they won't stay in office if they don't represent America's best interests.  Enough is enough!

Lessons We Can Learn From Elvis

Elvis Presley

On August 16, 1977, Elvis Aaron Presley, who was dubbed as the "King of rock 'n' roll" died due to an overdose of drugs.  Today is the 35th anniversary of his tragic death.  Elvis was born on January 8, 1935 to Vernon and Gladys Presley in Tupelo, Mississippi.  He died in Memphis, Tennessee.  Elvis lived a sad and miserable life here on this world.  All the fame and fortune couldn't satisfy him.  Even though he was beloved by the world, that wasn't sufficient to satisfy him.  Elvis loved to sing gospel music on the side on different occasions.  Elvis was good friends with J.D. Sumner and sometimes would go to Las Vegas, Nevada to perform with J.D. Sumner and the Stamps.  Elvis made a profound statement to someone in the gospel music field.  I believe he told this to Dottie Rambo.  He said that if he could do it all over again he would sing gospel.  But the world had elevated him to a throne so high that he couldn't get off of it.  In other words he was trapped.

Anytime a celebrity dies, the major news channels go to great lengths to cover their life story.  At the time of Elvis's death, Fox, CNN, and MSNBC didn't exist.  I remember the recent deaths of Anna Nicole Smith and Michael Jackson and the homage that the three cable news networks paid to these celebrities.  It was ridiculous.  Consequently, the news channels didn't cover the negative side of Elvis's life and what would happen to people who traveled the same path that Elvis did.  There are some lessons we need to learn from these celebrities who die tragic deaths.  We can do the same with Elvis.

1.  Joy and peace can't be bought with the wealth and riches in this world.  It only comes through Christ.

2.  It doesn't make any difference how much fame and fortune these stars may accrue in their lifetime, they're still miserable.

3.  Happiness isn't bought through riches.

4.  If you follow the example of the life that Elvis lived, you'll die a similar tragic death that Elvis lived.

5.  Elvis may have appeared to have everything this world could offer, but deep down he was miserable.

6.  If you want to live a fulfilled and productive life, don't follow after the path that Elvis trod.  It led him to misery.

On Saturday GOP presidential candidate made his choice on who will be his vice president.  That candidate is none other than Congressman Paul Ryan (R-WI).  Ryan, who was first elected to Congress in 1998, was a lightning rod for the left when it came to his Medicare budget proposal in the House of Representatives last Spring.  He's loathed by the Left for his proposals to overhaul government entitlements.  Ryan is the Budget Committee Chairman in the House of Representatives and he's responsible for drafting House budgets.  Ryan is a 42-year old Republican from Wisconsin who's been representing the state of Wisconsin for nearly 14 years.

drugs

Here's an interesting article from CNS News.  It says that sixteen states have set a limit on the number of prescription drugs they will cover for Medicaid patients, according to Kaiser Health News.  Seven of those states have already enacted or tightened those limits within the last two years.  This article is an interesting read.  The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) is going to be very costly.  How costly it will be remains to be seen.  I guarantee you that it will be far more expensive than government estimates have shown.  Obamacare isn't about making healthcare coverage more affordable.  It's about controlling
the lives of the American people.  The government will be able to dictate what we eat, drink, our lifestyles, and the types of medicine we take.  We haven't seen anything yet.

George Romney's "Brainwashing" Comment

Headshot of a greying man in a suit who is directly facing the camera

On August 31, 1967, in a taped interview with local influential talk show host Lou Gordon of WKBD-TV in Detroit, made the statement, "When I came back from Vietnam (in November 1965) I'd just had the greatest brainwashing anybody could get."  He later opposed the Vietnam War.  George Romney was the father of former Massachusetts governor and 2012 GOP candidate Mitt Romney.  George Romney was at one time a lobbyist for Alcoa in Pittsburgh from 1930-39 and then later was head of AMC, (American Motors Corporation) from 1939-62, where he turned that corporation around.  In 1962 he ran for the governorship of Michigan and won that race and then won again in 1964 and 1966.  In 1968 he made a short run for the presidency, but didn't progress very far in the primary.  In 1969, he resigned as governor of Michigan and became the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development in 1969 under then president Richard Nixon.  He headed that cabinet during Richard Nixon's first term.

Obama Calls Rival "Romney Hood"-- "Robin Hood in Reverse"

Obama calls rival 'Romney Hood' -- 'Robin Hood in reverse' - Fox News

President Barack Obama and GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney

At a fundraiser in Connecticut, President Obama unveiled a new attack on GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney's tax plans.  The president calls him "Romney Hood" or "Robin Hood" in reverse.  Robin Hood is the character known for stealing from the rich to give to the poor.  President Obama is alleging that Romney's tax plans will take from the middle-class to help pay for the tax cuts for the wealthy.  It's the same old class warfare argument Democrats are known for.  In presidential campaigns, you will always see mudslinging from both presidential candidates.  I know that mudslinging is always part of the political campaign.  However, it's absolutely foolish to use class warfare like President Obama does when it comes to the wealthy.  Obama and the Democrats try to give the impression that the wealthy aren't paying their fair share of taxes and given the fact that the deficit is $15 trillion or better, we can't afford to allow the rich to have a tax break.  That's asinine!  The problem is without reservation OVERSPENDING!  Giving tax breaks for the wealthy or whomever isn't the reason why the deficit is out of control.  The government continually overspends regardless whether the Congress or president is Democrat or Republican.  Democrats exploit the issue saying that we can't afford to give the wealthy a tax break.  We can't afford not to.  It's the wealthy or those making $250,000 a year that create jobs.  Poor people don't create jobs.  The tax code is ludicrous.  I call for a flat tax or a sales tax.  Let's eliminate the income tax.  That will never happen because our elected elite want to usurp control over our lives.

Congress needs to cut taxes on all taxpaying Americans, rich and poor alike.  Congress also needs to lift the mundane restrictions on small businesses which prohibit them from growing and creating new jobs.  The way to bring more revenue to the federal government is for the government to eliminate most regulations so small businesses can create new jobs.  When new jobs are created, more taxable revenue will go to the federal government.  It's just that simple.

Senate Democrat Leader Has Never Denied the Story

Senate Democrat leader Harry Reid has never denied the story by Andrew Malcolm - Investors.com

Michael Ramirez / Investor's Business Daily

I found an interesting headline from Investors.com on Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.  Actually I found this headline from Jim Sumpter's website.  Jim Sumpter's website is JimSumpterShow.com.  This cartoon depicts Reid as not having a brain.  When you listen to some of the very foolish comments the Senate Majority Leader makes, it makes you think he doesn't know anything.  He's made some very asinine comments over the years since he first became Senate Minority Leader in 2005.  Last year he made the statement that the Senate wasn't going to have a budget last year.  That doesn't sound like somebody who knows anything about leadership.  Government, like a business, must run on some type of budget.

Just recently, Reid told reporters that GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney has not paid any income taxes for the last decade.  Reid repeated the charge of this felony on the Senate floor last Thursday.  Reid has no proof whatsoever to substantiate this charge, but he keeps on repeating it anyway.

The problem with Harry Reid is he's a sold-out politician.  He's a monkey boy for the Obama administration and the Democratic cause.  If he ever had a conscience I believe he doesn't know.  He's been in the U.S. Senate since 1987 and before them he used to be in the Nevada Senate and was a Congressman from Nevada prior to his U.S. Senate career.  I'm not sure Reid is dumb as much as he's yielded himself to the leftist cause.  You don't have to have a brain to yield yourself to leftist causes.

President Obama Weighs Executive Order Option Concerning the Internet

After defeat of Senate cybersecurity bill, Obama weighs executive-order option - The Hill's Hillicon Valley

President Barack Obama

Just recently Senate Republicans blocked cybersecurity legislation.  However, that issue might not be dead after all.  President Obama is weighing the option to issue an executive order for the supposed purpose to strengthen the nation's defenses against cyberattacks if Congress refuses to act.

I doubt Obama's reasons for pondering the issue of an executive order to prevent cyberattacks is accurate.  I believe it has to do with controlling the type of information that streams forth through the internet.  There are all sorts of websites that churn out information that runs counter to the globalist agenda.  There are websites that try to call into accountability the political punks in Congress.  There are websites that question Obama's natural-born citizenship eligibility.  There are websites that expose Obama's socialist agenda and the advisors that he surrounds himself with.  You know the president isn't going to be supportive of information that's critical of him and his left-leaning policies.

Therefore, President Obama and cronies are going to use whatever means are at their disposal to silence free speech.  What better way to do so than through the means of internet.  There is a wealth of information on the internet.  I wouldn't be suprised to see the president eventually issue an executive order to regulate the internet.  I definitely believe that will be the case if he wins a second term as president.  That's my take on the story.

Gunman in Sikh Temple Shooting Identified as ex-Army Soldier Wade Michael Page

Gunman in Sikh temple shooting identified as ex-Army soldier Wade Michael Page | Fox News

Wade Michael Page.JPG
The 40-year old shooting suspect Wade Michael Page

A 40-year old army veteran and suspected white supremacist who gunned down six inside a Milwaukee-era Sikh temple shot the responding officer eight or nine times before he was killed by police, according to authorities on Monday.  Officials said the gunman, whom they identified as Wade Michael Page, walked into the Sikh temple of Wisconsin on Sunday and opened fire with a 9mm semi-automatic handgun and several dozen prepared for morning services.  The victimes ranged in age from 39 to 84, authorities said.  Three others were wounded and remain in critical condition, including a 51-year-old veteran police officer Brian Murphy.

Authorities said during the Monday press conference there was no reason to believe anyone other than Page was involved in the Milwaukee suburb of Oak Creek.  The FBI had shown a photo of a person shown wanted for questioning, but after talking with the man, he was found to not be tied with the shooting.  Teresa Carlson, an FBI special agent in Charge, said a motive is still under investigation, and noted that authorities are looking at Page's "ties to white supremacist groups."  Carlson said the shooting is being investigated as a possible "act of terrorism".

Four people were found dead inside the temple, while three, including the suspected shooter, were found dead outside.  To read the full story, click on the above link at FoxNews.com.

Jobless Rate Rises to 8.3%, Hiring Picks Up But Still Running Short

Jobless rate rises to 8.3 percent, hiring picks up but still falling short | Fox News

The unemployment rate climbed back up to 8.3 percent in July, which reflects a stagnant economic picture.  Even though hiring improved, it wasn't substantial to amount to anything.  It didn't make a dent in the unemployment picture.  The Labor Department reported after three straight months of dismal job numbers, hiring reached its best level since February, adding 163,000 jobs.  The question I have to ask is what type of jobs were added?  Were they temporary jobs or permanent jobs?  Regardless of how many jobs were added last month, it wasn't substantial to lower the unemployment rate.  There are 12.8 million Americans unemployed.  In order to lower the unemployment rate substantially, at least 250,000 jobs would need to be added per month.  We're not even close to that.  The economy added 151,000 jobs a month this year, which is the same pace as last year.

We've had 41 straight months of unemployment around 8.0 or above.  That's part of President Obama's agenda to take down capitalism.  Why do I say that?  Take a look at the legislation that's been passed during the first couple of years during President Obama's administration.  One of them was Obamacare or the Affordable Care Act of March 2010.  Once the key provisions of Obamacare is implemented in 2014, it will greatly increase the unemployment rate.  Employers won't be able to pay the benefits required by the federal government.  Another bill passed was Dodd-Frank in 2010.  That bill adds more burdensome regulations upon small businesses.  Those two bills alone will stifle job growth.  Also, President Obama has been pushing for stricter environmental regulations on coal and energy.  He's also through executive order limited new offshore drilling.  He's also opposed the Keystone XL Pipeline project as well.  All the legislation that's been passed is bringing us down the road to socialism at a fast pace.  Before too long it will result in fascism, where the government will be controlling every aspect of your lives.  If you don't think it's coming, just wait and see.

Ted Cruz Wins Texas Senate Primary in a Victory For Tea Party

Ted Cruz wins Texas Senate primary in a victory for tea party - The Washington Post

Senate Candidate Ted Cruz cruises to victory in Texas primary

Ted Cruz, once a long shot for the candidacy of the U.S. Senate in Texas, won a huge primary victory last Tuesday. He's a Tea Party candidate running as a Republican for Kay Bailey Hutchinson's Senate seat this fall in the general election.  Cruz's victory provides Tea Party activists renewed momentum in what they said was their biggest victory this year.  Cruz, a former Texas Solicitor General and a first-time candidate for elective office, is the Tea Party's first bona fide star of the 2012 campaign: a charismatic speaker with an up-by-the-bootstraps biography who upended the Republican establishment in the nation's largest red state.  Cruz is a Cuban-American who's father immigrated from Cuba in 1957.

With all precincts reporting, Cruz won 13% more votes than Lt. Governor David Dewhurst, a powerful GOP figure who spent freely from his vast personal fortune and had endorsements from most of the state's influential Republicans, including Texas Gov. Rick Perry.

GOP House Leaders Refuse to Defund Obamacare

Betrayal: House GOP leaders refuse to defund Obamacare | Opinion - Conservative

From left to right: Weeping House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH), House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA), and House Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy (R-CA)

The GOP leadership in the House have proven they don't deserve the trust and confidence of conservative voters.  Both Boehner and Cantor should be voted out of their districts this fall.  Kevin McCarthy has chosen not to run this fall.  As despicable as the Democrats are on a national level, at least you know where they stand on an issue.  They don't have a problem being very candid about their positions on issues such as same-sex marriage, abortion, Obamacare, socialism, etc.  Republicans, on the other hand, speak out of both sides of their mouths.  During the election of 2010, they drafted a document entitled, "A Pledge to America" speaking of what they will do to eliminate the size and scope of government and to cut government waste.  I've heard House Speaker John Boehner a number of times say that Obamacare will be a job killer.  He at one time said that defunding Obamacare would be an option right before he became House Speaker.  Tragically, he hasn't done anything of the sort.

Doug Book reports for the Western Center for Journalism that Republican leaders John Boehner, Eric Cantor, and Kevin McCarthy have decided to not defund Obamacare.  They are going to fully fund the federal government.  What??  Why the change of heart?  Defunding Obamacare isn't part of the agenda, as far as I'm concerned.  Instead, the House held these "symbolic" repeal votes to strike down Obamacare, knowing fully well that it had no chance of repeal with a Democratic Senate nor a Democratic White House.  However, the House has the constitutional authority to control spending.  They have control over the "purse strings."  The only way to stop Obamacare from going forward at least for right now is for the House to choke off funding for Obamacare.  Otherwise, all this talk about repealing Obamacare is to no avail.  The truth of the matter is the only thing these Congressmen care about is their own political careers and they don't possess the political will to do what it takes to stop funding of Obamacare.  I have no confidence in these Republicans whatsoever.

Romney Comments at Fundraiser Outrage Palestinians

My Way News - Romney comments at fundraiser outrage Palestinians

During GOP candidate Mitt Romney's unprecedented fundraising trip in Israel, he told Jewish donors that their culture is part of what has allowed them to be more economically successful than the Palestinians.  As a result, Palestinian leaders were outraged at his comments and said they were racist and out of touch with the realities of the Middle East.  His campaign later said his remarks were mischaracterized.  Romney was making a comparison between the GDP per capita in Israel vs. GDP in the areas run by the Palestinian authority.  Romney said some economic histories have theorized "that culture makes all the difference."  The truth is culture makes a huge difference.  In order to understand how a society operates, you must learn about the culture that undergirds that society.

"And as I come here and look out over this city and consider the accomplishments of the people of this nation, I recognize the power of at least culture and a few other things," Romney said citing an innovative business climate, the Jewish history of thriving in difficult circumstances and the 'hand of providence'."  He said similar disparity exists between neighboring countries, like Mexico and the United States.  Palestinian reaction to Romney was very swift and pointed.  "It is a racist statement and this man doesn't realize that the Palestinian economy cannot reach its potential because there is an Israeli occupation," said Saab Erekat, a senior aide to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.

Mitt Romney was right in his assessment of Israel.  Culture does make all the difference.  The reason why any country has a successful economy is due to the fact that the culture that the population embraces and encourages hard work, thrift, and success.  A society that has a prosperous economy has a culture which instills a strong work ethic in its citizens.  You can't bypass that.  The reason why the Palestians are in the shape they're in is because of their religion.  They embrace the religion of Israel that preaches in killing the infidel, which means the Israeli people.  There's great enmity between the Palestinians and the Jews.  The Palestinian government Hamas spend their money on weapons to conduct suicide missions in Israel.  They're all about killing and destroying the infidel in the name of religion.  No religion or ideology that promotes jihad is going to produce a prosperous nation, regardless whether it's economically, morally, culturally, and spiritually.  It produces a culture of death.

Romney is right in supporting Israel and he better support Israel if he's elected president this fall.  If he doesn't, then God will judge America.  To read the full story, click on the link above.

Record Sales on Chick-fil-A Day, Company Says

Record Sales on Chick-fil-A Day, Company Says

Chick-fil-A posted record-setting sales on Wednesday, as customers flocked to restaurants nationwide in support of its stance against same-sex marriage.  Steve Robinson, Chick-fil-A's executive vice president of marketing, said, "While we don't release exact sales numbers, we can confirm reports that it's a record-setting day."  "The Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day" was called by former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, who said he organized the event without discussing it with owner Dan Cathy because it emphasized an issue of fairness.  Huckabee told Newsmax on Tuesday that more than 20 million people viewed his Facebook event page to learn about the day.

I went to Chick-fil-A yesterday evening 20 minutes before it closed.  I really enjoyed my experience there.  I highly recommend this place to eat at.  It has a great atmosphere with class-A customer service.  I appreciate the Christian atmosphere that the Cathy's have instilled there since 1967.  To read the full story, click on the above link from Newsmax.

Obama, Romney Look Overseas For Campaign Cash

Obama, Romney look overseas for campaign cash | Fox News

President Barack Obama and GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney are both looking overseas for foreign money, given the fact the the presidential race is very tight right now, according to Fox News.  Both candidates have been courting Americans living abroad, raising money for what is most likely to be the most expensive presidential election ever in U.S. history and galvanizing a largely untapped group of supposed eligible voters.  According to Federal Election Commission Chairman David Mason, the practice is legal and has been used for decades.  Obama has raised nearly $600,000 abroad and Romney has raised $325,000 abroad from Americans abroad, according to campaign finance records analyzed by the Center for Responsive Politics.  Those figures don't include sums raised by the Democratic and Republican party committees or Romney's take from his fundraising in London during his visit there last week.

When I saw the headline a little while ago, I was concerned because the Federal Election Campaign Act (FECA), prohibits any foreign national, from contributing, donating, or spending funds in connection with any federal, state, or local election of the United States.  Former President Bill Clinton was in violation of this law probably in both the 1992 and 1996 presidential elections when the Chinese funneled money to his campaigns.  I did read there's an exception when it comes to raising money from Americans living abroad.  However, am I to believe both Romney and Obama are raising money exclusively from Americans living abroad?  I doubt it, especially from the Obama camp.  With President Obama's disdain for the Constitution, I believe he's raised tons of foreign money for his campaign.  He doesn't care about breaking federal election laws.  President Obama isn't a nationalist in his thinking anyway.  He believes in one-worldism.  Romney does as well but he isn't blatant about it.  Since Obama and Romney are globalists, they think in terms of foreign or international law, not the "law of the land."  Who cares about the law of the land?  International law is the "supreme law of the world" to these globalists.

Mitt Romney held an unprecedented fundraiser in Israel this past weekend.  I wonder how much foreign money was raised?  If we knew how much of the money these candidates raised is against the law, our jaws would drop to the ground.  To read the full story, click on the above link from FoxNews.com.

Democrats Move to Include Gay Marriage Support in Official Party Platform

Dems move to include gay marriage support in official party platform | Fox News

flag_gayprideny_062412.jpg

Democrats are moving for the first time to include the party platform which endorses same-sex marriage or homosexual marriage.  This past year President Barack Obama became the first sitting president to voice support over same-sex marriage.  A few days before the president gave his endorsement of same-sex marriage, vice-president Joe Biden did the same thing.

The Democratic National Convention will be held in Charlotte, North Carolina in early September, following the Republican National Convention.  Sources told Fox News that the Democrats' platform drafting committee voted unamimously to include the language backing same-sex marriage over the weekend at a meeting in Minneapolis.

This doesn't surprise me whatsoever.  The Democratic Party, at least on the national level, is the party of the perverts, illegal aliens, the deviants, welfare recipients, and the list continues.  It's a gross shame and a radical departure from what the Democratic Party once was.  I'm not saying the Democratic Party was ever perfect, but the Democrats who are in charge today are nothing but socialists, communists, and perverts nationally.  It's tragic.  However, conservative voters should know what to expect from the Democratic Party.  They make their stance obvious and they're proud of it.  What bothers me are the so-called Republicans such as House Speaker John Boehner, House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, and Michelle Bachmann.  They parade themselves as constitutional conservatives but they won't fight for the values that voters have sent them to Washington for.  Instead, they cave into President Obama and his agenda.

No voter that has his/her right mind needs to vote for President Obama this fall.  The gay agenda is nothing but perversion and runs contrary to God, the Bible, and society.  It's nothing but a slap on the traditional family unit.  To read the full story, click on the above link from FoxNews.com.
