Obama Admits His Climate Change Agenda Won't Curb Global Warming

Obama admits his climate agenda won’t curb global warming | The Daily Caller

President Barack Obama smiles as he prepares to answer a question during an end-of-the year news conference in the Brady Press Briefing Room at the White House in Washington, Friday, Dec. 20, 2013. Obama will depart later for his home state of Hawaii for his annual Christmas vacation trip. It

President Obama's "war on the coal companies" has nothing to do with curbing global warming.  It's all about the federal government seizing control over America's industry so the government can impose it's own rules on us and destroy the coal industry and capitalism.  Obama's idea of success is destroying America's capitalistic system and remaking it according to Obama's socialist agenda.  To read the full story, click on the above link from the Daily Caller.

That's great.  I hope that will translate into incumbents being thrown out of office in November.  America will never be able to maintain any kind of resemblance of a republic if we don't throw these incumbents out come November, which includes both political parties.

Ben Carson Speaking at Values Voter Summit 2013

Today is Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day.  I always refer to this day as National African American Day to honor black people in general who have worked and achieved to make this nation great.  Dr. Ben Carson is the featured speaker from the Value Voter Summit today.  He is a former pediatric surgeon from John Hopkins University.  He is also a conservative commentator as well.  He's been seen numerous times on Hannity from Fox News and other talk shows.  He stands against Obamacare and abortion, for example.  In February on Black History Month Dr. Ben Carson will top the list of featured black people for this special month on the Christian Worldview.

Who Read 1,582-Page $1.1T Spending Bill? Congressman: 'Nobody Did'

Who Read 1,582-Page $1.1T Spending Bill? Congressman: 'Nobody Did' | CNS News

blumenauerRep. Earl Blumenauer (D-OR)

Rep. Earl Blumenauer (D-OR) was asked whether or not he read the 1,582 page $1.1 trillion spending bill.  He said no.  He said nobody did.  What's disturbing to me isn't the liberal socialist Democrats such as Nancy Pelosi and Steny Hoyer for example, it's those RINO's who claim to be fiscally conservative and have been campaigning on restraining spending.  That's what's disturbing.   To read the full story, click on the above link from CNSNews.com.

US Judge Strikes Down Oklahoma's Same-Sex Marriage Ban

US judge strikes down Okla. same-sex marriage ban | CNS News

Gay Marriage-Oklahoma

Last month it was the state of Utah but this week it was the state of Oklahoma.  A federal judge has overturned Oklahoma's same-sex marriage ban, which voters approved of in 2004.  U.S. District Judge Terrence Kern immediately stayed his ruling Tuesday, which means there won't be a rush of homosexual couples trying to get married like they did once Utah's ban on same-sex marriage was overturned.  Kern's ruling came by a lawsuit from two lesbian couples over the constitutional amendment approved by Oklahoma voters in 2004.  The measure states that marriage consists of one man and one woman, period.  Kern stated that ban violates the U.S. Constitution's Equal Protection Clause.  To read the full story, click on the above link from CNSNews.com.

Gates Book Blasts 'Incompetent' Congress; Accuses Reid, Others of Seeking Favors

Gates book blasts ‘incompetent’ Congress; accuses Reid, others of seeking favors | Fox News

In Robert Gates' new memoir "Duty', which has already hit the bookstores, he launches a scathing attack on Congress concerning their incompetence on not passing an appropriations bill on time.  He called it a "dereliction of duty."  In his book about President Obama's handling the Afghanistan War, he stated he agreed with Obama's strategy concerning the Afghan war but he said the president wasn't passionate about winning the war in Afghanistan.  He claimed the president even doubted his own strategy.  However, he was far more critical of Congress.  He stated a number of times members of Congress would incessantly bug him about local projects while the nation was at part.  He was very critical of both Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.

Gates: ‘Don’t Ask, Don't Tell' Fight was Only Time Obama Showed 'Passion" for Military Issues

Gates: ‘Don’t ask, don’t tell’ fight was only time Obama showed ‘passion’ for military issues | Fox News

I agree wholeheartedly with former Defense Secretary Bob Gates that the only issue that President Obama showed passion for concerning the U.S. military was repealing the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" compromise that was initiated during the Clinton administration in 1993.  It's a sad day in America when our President and Congress is more interested in granting so-called rights for homosexuals to openly display themselves when on base or in overseas more than we have a military that will be powerful and strong enough to stand tall to win wars whenever there's a vital interest at stake to go to war.  When Obama became president America was both in Iraq and Afghanistan and instead he was more interested in permitting homosexuals being allowed to openly express themselves in the military rather than we win both of those wars and leave those countries.  It's really sickening.  To read the full story, click on the above link from FoxNews.com.

$1.1 Trillion US Budget Bill

$1.1 Trillion US Budget Bill - Business Insider

Mikulski

"Liar, liar, pants on fire!"  That's what I say to all the GOP in the House who made campaign promises in 2010 to rein in government spending and to repeal or defund Obamacare.  I remember House Speaker John Boehner making the promise following the GOP's takeover of the House in 2010 that Congress was going to do the "people's business."  They're outright frauds and liars.  Our nation is bankrupt and our elected elite are fighting over who's going to get the largest share of the pie.  This has nothing to do with the welfare of the nation.  The nation's going down the toilet and both political parties are making sure they get their cake and eat it too while the nation's going down the abyss.  To read the full story, click on the BusinessInsider.com.

Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear Touts Tax Overhaul, Expanded Gambling

NewsDaily: Beshear touts tax overhaul, expanded gambling

       Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear

Anytime you hear Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear use the phrase, "tax overhaul", those are buzz words for further tax increases.   Kentuckians pay enough taxes as it is.  Beshear speaks about the need for more revenue to cover education and health care, for example.  One method that would help would be to eliminate wasteful spending in our state budget.  I'm certain there's plenty of pork that can be eliminated in our state budget.  Another idea would be for the state of Kentucky to become more business friendly to allow more private sector jobs to be created.  If the private sector grows in Kentucky, then there'll automatically be revenue going to the state.  We don't need further tax increases nor expanded gambling.  The lottery hasn't raised the revenue we needed and casinos won't help either.   I remember all the campaign promises by the late Governor Wallace Wilkinson when he ran for governor in 1987 that the lottery would raise the revenue needed for Kentucky's educational system.  It's been 27 years since and the lottery doesn't seem to be sufficient for revenue.  Casino gambling won't be either.  Somebody will take that money and place it into their pockets.  To read the full story, click on the above link.

Articles: Venture Capitalism, not Crony Capitalism

Articles: Venture Capitalism not Crony Capitalism

During the 2012 presidential campaign, millions of Americans learned 2012 presidential candidate Mitt Romney was not only a very successful businessman, but he was also a venture capitalism.  He would use money to help businesses out such as Staples and Foot Locker, for example.  What is the definition of venture capitalism?  The online definition says, "Money made available for investment in innovative enterprises or research, esp. in higher technology, which both the risk of loss and the potential for profit may be considerable.  Also called risk capital.

Letter Questions Whether Boehner was Briefed on Benghazi Ops

Letter questions whether Boehner was briefed on Benghazi ops | Fox News

Honestly it wouldn't surprise me if House Speaker John Boehner was briefed on covert operations in Libya.  It seems like our government is all about covering up the events that took place in Benghazi. You can't trust any of our elected officials when it comes to knowing the truth about all the covert activities that took place concerning complex weapons-collection efforts in Libya.  To read the full story, click on the above link from FoxNews.com.

Fall of Fallujah Reverberates in Washington. But Will US help Iraq?

Fall of Fallujah reverberates in Washington. But will US help Iraq? (+video) - CSMonitor.com

I knew that Iraq would fall apart once U.S. forces left the region in 2011.  With Fallujah falling there have been calls for the U.S. to help in that region.  Secretary of State John Kerry promised Sunday that he would support Iraq but as of right now no U.S. are promised to go into that region.

Iraq is a very troubled area where the Shiite, Sunnis, and the Kurds are embattled with one another in that region.  Iraq has been nothing but civil war and chaos since Sadamm Hussein was topped in 2003.  The U.S. forces were in Iraq for nearly nine years with a no-win strategy.  Americans have lost a lot of blood and treasure supposedly trying to make "peace" in that country.  There's the Al-Qaeda stronghold in the Sunni regions.  The last thing the U.S. needs to do is to get involved in that region.  That's my opinion.  To read the story, click on the above link from the Christian Science Monitor.

ObamaCare Brings New Taxes, Fees for 2014

Obamacare Brings New Taxes, Fees for 2014

If you think it's bad already for those who have lost their health coverage due to the fact these insurance comnpanies don't meet the qualifications of the Affordable Care Act, you haven't seen anything.  A set of new taxes and fees will be imposed this year as part of Obamacare's requirements.  One of those is a fee on health insurance comnpanies, which could translate into higher premiums as tie rolls on.  Also, there is a "tax" on those who don't purchase or have health insurance.  There are also other fees and taxes that you'll find out about by clicking on FoxNews.com.

The Church at Corinth

Corinth--Christian Courier

Corinth--Bible.org

Ancient Corinth

We are going to begin a series of posts on the book of I & II Corinthians.  We'll be studying various topics of the book of Corinthians.  This post commences the series.  As any Bible scholar or anyone who is a student of the Word of God knows, the church at Corinth was very carnal.  It had major issues in that church.  As you read the entire book of I Corinthians, you will see the Apostle Paul addressing various issues that church was facing such as strife and contention amongst it's members, fornication with a father's wife, the issue of partaking the Lord's supper unworthily, pride, the proper conduct in the church, gifts in the church, and the issue of the resurrection were all plaguing.  Now in saying all this there were people in this church that loved God and had a desire to serve God.  But in the midst of those who were faithful and fervent in serving the Lord, there was much carnality in that church and as a result the Apostle Paul took the time to write a letter to that church to address the multiple issues that was plaguing the church.  When you read that letter, you can't help but notice it sounds similar to the many issues our churches are being plagued with today.  Numerous churches in this hour are plagued with pride, strife, contention, carnality, sensuality, sexual sins, partaking of the Lord's Supper unworthily, worldliness, and the list continues.

In his letter to the church at Corinth, Paul was not only delivering a sharp rebuke concerning the sins that were in that church, but he was also instructing them how to deal with issues in that church such as fornication, the gifts in the church, strife and contention, the partaking of the Lord's supper and proper order in the church.  Paul also explained to them in I Corinthians 13 the meaning of charity.  He also dealt with the issue of eating meat offered to idols as well.

Corinth was a proud, wealthy, and wicked city of the ancient world.  It was located on the four-mile-wide strip of land which linked the Southern Peloponnesus with the mainland of Greece.  It was the greatest commercial center of Greece.  There were fertile lands there which grew olives, grapes, dates, and many other well-known fruits.  Corinth was destroyed in 146 B.C. by Mummius, the ruffian Roman leader who sent shiploads of statuary, paintings, and other art treasures to Rome.  In 46 B.C. Julius Caesar rebuilt the city, giving it wide streets, market places, temples, theaters, statues, fountains, adn the white and blue marble "Bema" or rostra where orations were made and judgments rendered.  Gods and goddesses were worshipped in the temples in Corinth.  There was a temple and statue of Aphrodite (the goddess of love and fertility) who dominated much of the social and religious life of the city.

Paul came to Corinth around A.D. 53 and he spent and year-and-a-half supporting himself by making tents while he was teaching and preaching to the converted Jews and Greeks.  It was there he felt compelled to write those two epistles to that church.  They were very worldly.  They were allowing the world to affect their way of thinking and doing things so Paul had to rebuke them and steer them onto the right path.  Thankfully they made things right as was evidenced by reading Paul's second epistle.  I have some links at the top to provide you more information about the church at Corinth as well as the anciet history of Corinth.

I Am Sooo Sick and Tired of Politics

Ever since the Christian Worldview started on June 6, 2009, I have featured many posts dealing with the news of the day ranging from the wars in the Middle East, to Obamacare, to the presidential election of 2012 and all the way to politics in the year 2014.  For the last few years I have encouraged people to vote for conservative candidates in the elections.  I've stated numerous times that we need to vote out the RINO incumbents in Congress and that voting out the incumbent begins in the primary, which is a post that was written in March 2010.  I've encouraged voters to vote for the Tea Party candidates in the primary and general elections.  I supported 2012 presidential candidate Mitt Romney even though I knew he was another RINO like 2008 presidential candidate John McCain.  However, Barack Obama was an incumbent and I knew he needed to be voted out of office with the damage he was causing America.  Consequently, Barack Obama got re-elected for a second term.  I've written posts stating that America needs a second revolution.  I've encouraged people to involve themselves in the political process.  After the 2010 election where "Tea Party" candidates Mike Lee (R-UT) and Rand Paul (R-KY), Alan West (R-FL) were elected, I've become increasingly perturbed over the foolishness that's taken place in politics.  I know that House Speaker John Boehner is a fraud but some of these Tea Party candidates who were elected to office for the first time in 2010 should've risen to stand up against House Speaker John Boehner and demanded his resignation as Speaker.  They should've also demanded that Obamacare be defunded, in which they should've taken the lead to defund.  Of course that never happened and it goes to show that we're wasting our time expecting the Tea Party or another conservative movement to turn our government in the right direction.  As much as I would like to see our government head back to its constitutional roots, it's not very likely.  It especially won't happen given the spiritual condition our country's it.  We can't reform our government if the American don't wake up and turn to God.  As much as I'm thankful for the recent emergence of the Tea Party in 2009, they won't be able to reform government.  Let me ask you, what has Rand Paul, Mike Lee, and Ted Cruz (elected as Texas Senator in 2012) done to stop President Obama's unconstitutional laws and spending:?  Nothing.  They've given great talking points on cable news stations and talk radio, but when it comes to standing in the gap to stop President Obama's agenda, they're worthless.

I want to publicly declare I'm SOOOOO SICK AND TIRED OF POLITICS.  Why am I so sick and tired of politics?  It's not because of President Obama, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, or the Democrats in Congress in general, as much as I detest what they're doing to this country.  It's not even so much as Senators John McCain, Lindsey Graham, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, or House Speaker John Boehner.  Even though these people are RINO's they aren't the biggest problem.  The reason why I say that is because we know now what to expect out of John Boehner, Mitch McConnell, and John McCain, for example.  I will admit Boehner lied through his teeth during the 2010 midterm election when he unveiled the GOP's "Pledge to America" and when he promised following his election that he would defund Obamacare or slow it down.  He also stated the the 112th Congress were going to do the business of the people and they were going to rein in government spending.  That was a nice platform but that was an outright lie by Boehner.  Instead, Boehner has rolled over and went along with Obama's agenda.  Boehner's good friends with the Democrats in Congress.  I guarantee you that Boehner will support the whole amnesty agenda when it goes through Congress.  I promise you.  You can't trust Boehner at all.  I hope that some GOP or Tea Party candidate in Ohio's Congressional 8th district will challenge Boehner in the primary this year.  Boehner needs to be voted out of office along with House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, and Senator Mitch McConnell this year.  All these RINO's are nothing but thieves and crooks.

As I've just stated, my problem isn't with the Democrats.  I do have an element of respect with the Democrats in the sense that they're honest about what they're doing.  We know where they stand as far as the leftist agenda is concerned.  What bothers me are GOP members such as Michelle Bachmann (R-MN), who's not running for re-election this November, Senator Mike Lee of Utah, Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky, Senator Ted Cruz of Texas, and those who portray themselves as Tea Party conservatives but won't do what's necessary to stop Obama's socialist agenda in Congress.  I've heard Michelle Bachmann numerous time state her goal in the last three years is to repeal Obamacare.  What has she done to help retard the process of Obamacare since it has been passed?  Nothing.  The truth is she has the power along with other GOP House members to defund Obamacare.  The House can refuse to fund any bill if it's unconstitutional.  There's a method they can use to defund Obamacare in the House and that's the method called blue slipping.  She have never used it.  She has never organized a group of Republicans to defund Obamacare.  I have no use for her.  I'm sick and tired of hearing her speak.  I'm glad she won't be in Congress next year.  She loves to appear on Fox News and on talk radio to give her talking points about what's bad about Obamacare and that it needs to be repealed, but when it comes to taking action, she's nowhere to be found.  I know this past summer Senators Mike Lee, Ted Cruz, and Rand Paul recommended that defunding Obamacare be attached to the budget bill this fall.  That method was set to fail because they knew the Democrat-controlled Senate was going to reject the budget bill that called for defunding Obamacare.  That method was a very lame way to defund Obamacare.  They knew that wasn't the right method to defund Obamacare.  The GOP are always using tactics that they know will fail.  In saying that, it goes to show me that none of them are trustworthy.  None of them are going to put themselves on the line to do what's necessary to preserve our nation and stop Obamacare.  As a result, these RINO Tea Party Republicans need to be defeated when they're up for re-election.

I wholeheartedly believe none of our Representatives and Senators are up to any good.  They act like they're in a play and each member is assigned their role and they play it.  It seems like everything that takes place in Congress is nothing but a game.  As a result, we need to vote out these incumbents when this November's election comes around.

Saturday's post will follow this post and I'll conclude my thoughts in that post.
