The U.S. Supreme Court Legalizes Same Sex Marriage

Supreme Court Legalizes Same Sex Marriage

The sad truth of the matter is that I knew this was coming.  Ever since U.S. vs. Windsor, where Justice Anthony Kennedy struck down provisions of the Defense of Marriage Act saying that same sex couples couldn't be denied benefits, the Federal Appeals Courts have used Kennedy's opinion to invalidate state bans on same sex marriage in states across the U.S. I personally believe that's what led to today's ruling.  What a travesty!  I believe there will be major ramifications that will result from this ruling.  I believe in time to come that preachers in the United States will be forbidden to preach against sodomy or they will face some stiff penalties.  No! Not in America!  Yes!  Even though it's not constitutional for the state to interference in church matters, that doesn't deter them.  For decades our elected elite in all three branches of our government have shredded the government what makes you think they'll do different in this case.  They won't.  Just wait and see!

Former Texas Governor and 2012 presidential candidate Rick Perry has announced he's running for president in 2016.  He might as well ride on the Republican bandwagon and join the crowd.  I'm sure he'll enjoy the opportunity to be in the spotlight, give many talking points speeches on Fox News and talk radio, and make money while running for president.  Won't this be interesting!

Rick Santorum Announces 2016 Presidential Run

Rick Santorum Announces Presidential Run

Former Sen. Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania speaks at the Point of Grace Church for the Iowa Faith and Freedom Coalition 2015 Spring Kickoff on April 25 in Waukee, Iowa.

Former 2012 presidential candidate Rick Santorum, former two-term Senator from Pennsylvania, has announced one again that he's tossing his hat into the ring to run for president in 2016.  In his previous presidential campaign where he won the state of Iowa in the caucus, he placed much emphasis on moral issues such as abortion.  This time he made his announcement on a Wednesday night in Cabot, Pennsylvania, which is on the outskirts of Pittsburgh.  This time he's running with a more populist appeal.  He's one of many candidates making their run for the presidency.  There's more candidates yet who are announcing their run for the Oval Office.  Click on the above link to read the details.
