Poll: 55% of Blacks Say Gay Rights Not the Same as Civil Rights

Poll: 55% of Blacks Say Gay Rights Not the Same as Civil Rights | CNS News

Bob JohnsonRobert Johnson, founder and chairman of the RLJ companies and founder of Black Entertainment Television.

A new poll commissioned by Black Entertainment Television founder and chairman Robert Johnson and conducted by Zogby states that 55% of African-American adults with the LGBT community's claim that gay rights aren't the same as civil rights for blacks.  Johnson stated there aren't any surprises.  He said that the black community is far more conservative on that issue than the general population so he wasn't that surprised.  Concerning the issue of gay marriage, 42% of the responders stated that marriage should be between a man and a woman while 40% said same-sex couples should be allowed to marry with benefits.

There's a question I have with the 42% of the responders who answered that marriage should be between a man and a woman:  I would like to know what percentage of the 42% voted for President Obama last year in his re-election campaign.  What floors me are those in the black community who voted for the president that say they oppose gay marriage.  I can honestly tell you that I wouldn't have voted for GOP nominee Mitt Romney last year if he came out and publicly supported same-sex marriage.  I would've written in a candidate for president if both candidates said they supported same-sex marriage.  I reluctantly voted for Mitt Romney in last fall's election.  If he had voiced his support for gay marriage, I wouldn't have voted for him even if he was the lesser of two evils.  I can't support a candidate that will support something that's abominable as gay marriage.  It's against God, nature, and society.  It's not natural nor logical.

Economy Expanded at 0.4 Percent Rate at End of 2012, Latest Sign of Meager Recovery

Economy expanded at 0.4 percent rate at end of 2012, latest sign of meager recovery | Fox News

Anybody who pays any attention whatsoever to the latest in current events shouldn't be surprise that the economy is still sluggish.  I'm not even surge the latest figures on the economy is accurate.  With the government and the media working together hand-in-hand, You can't trust anything you read when it comes to the jobs numbers.  The Obama administration would like us to think the economy is not that bad.  The truth is with Obamacare being implemented along with other regulations from the Obama administration, you can't expect the economy to grow.  Three taxes related to the Affordable Care Act began this year.  Also some of the 2001 and 2003 Bush tax cuts weren't renewed.  Businesses can't hire when the government is always inhibiting economic growth with its regulations.  Consequently, the GOP is okay with it either.  House Speaker John Boehner is a liar and he plays along with the Obama machine.  We don't have any representation from either political party.  I'm just glad our hope isn't in a political party, or we would be in trouble.  The Lord is the answer and he knows what's going on.  This is part of Obama's plan to reign in socialism in America.

Pew: American Approval of Supreme Court Hits All-Time Low

Pew: American Approval of Supreme Court Hits All-Time Low « CBS DC

The U.S. Supreme Court Building. (Credit: Mark Wilson/Getty Images)The U.S. Supreme Court

It's not surprise that Americans' view of the U.S. Supreme Court is at an all-time low.  Given the ruling the U.S. Supreme Court gave on the constitutionality of Obamacare last June, you can't expect the Court to be fair and impartial concerning the Constitution and America's freedoms.  I also don't trust the Supreme Court to make the right decision concerning Proposition 8, which is the case involving the same-sex marriage ban that Californians approved a few years ago.  Justice John Roberts is no conservative.  I'm certain he will find a way to find a so-called constitutional excuse to invalidate Proposition 8.  The Supreme Court is just as political as Congress is.  The homosexual lifestyle is being sanctioned all across the country by numerous lower courts and state legislatures.  Same-sex marriage is being made law in many states.  I guarantee you eventually the U.S. Supreme Court will jump on the bandwagon themselves.  If they don't do it in this ruling, they eventually will.  But I'm fearful they'll overturn Proposition 8 and state that states can't discriminate against homosexuals from marrying if they so desire.  The Supreme Court doesn't care about the Constitution nor the Judeo-Christian base upon which our country was founded upon.  It's a sad day in our country.

Exclusive: Sasha, Malia Obama Vacation at Bahamas' 'Atlantis' Resort

It's 'wonderful' to see that President Obama is doing his part to ensure that government expenses are reduced.  The president's daughters are vacationing at the Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island in the Bahamas.  Even though our government is in a huge debt crisis, the Obamas keep spending extravagantly, as well as our elected elite.  The government's motto is "Keep on spending."

Justices Indicate Interest in Narrow Ruling on Gay Marriage in Landmark Hearing

Justices indicate interest in narrow ruling on gay marriage in landmark hearing | Fox News

If the U.S. Supreme Court justices rule to overturn Proposition 8 in California which the voters there voted in a referendum to ban same-sex marriage, this will have major social and societal implications.  Any restriction on gay marriage will be invalidated if the justices rule against this proposition.  For example, if a sodomite couple who are "married" from New York decide to move to Kentucky, then Kentucky would have to recognize the "legal status" of that sodomite couple.  It's tragic but that's the direction America's moving toward.  The elected elite, which includes more and more Republicans, are moving on the bandwagon to support gay marriage.  It's sickening.  Ohio Senator Rob Portman, who is a Republican, just expressed his support the other week for gay marriage.  Many of the GOP who served in George W. Bush's administration, are coming out in support of gay marriage.  One of them is former National Security Advisor Stephen Hadley, from Bush's first term in office.

There is nothing logical whatsoever about the homosexual lifestyle.  You don't have to be a Bible believer to recognize that sodomy isn't natural or logical.  No two men or two women were created to have a sexual relationship with one another.  God says it's an abomination.  When we have a government that will go as far as to sanction same-sex marriage, we are in the gutter morally and spiritually as a country.

Why Boehner Needs to GO! He’s a Drunk, Corrupt and Cheats on His Wife.

Why Boehner Needs to GO! He’s a Drunk, Corrupt and Cheats on His Wife. ← FREEDOM BUNKER

Weeper of the House John Boehner

The "Weeper of the House" on 60 Minutes

The article concerning crybaby John Boehner is on target.  Boehner is very corrupt.  He facilitates President Obama's agenda.  He lied when he campaigned in 2010 stating that he was going to lead Congress on a different course when he unveiled "A Pledge to America" in September 2010.  You wonder why the Republican Party is so corrupt.  It's people like John Boehner and House Majority Leader Eric Cantor that lead it.  What's even more appalling is that so-called conservatives won't do anything to challenge Boehner or try to force an ouster of him.  He's another RINO that needs to be voted out in the 8th Congressional District in Ohio.  He claims he's for smaller government, but he won't defund wasteful spending, such as Obamacare, for example.  He also purged "conservatives" from the budget committees in Congress.  It shows me where his loyalties lie.

John Boehner: Trust President Obama? 'Absolutely'

John Boehner: Trust President Obama? 'Absolutely' - Washington Times

** FILE ** House Speaker John A. Boehner, Ohio Republican, listens on Tuesday, March 5, 2013, during a news conference on Capitol Hill following a Republican strategy session. (Associated Press)House Speaker John Boehner

House Speaker John Boehner asked directly during a Sunday talk show, "Do you trust the president?" "Absolutely" according to Boehner.   Boehner replied by saying even though he and President Obama have their differences, but in the end, their relationship is one of trust and friendship.

Boehner proves that there's no difference between the Republicans and Democrats.  Both parties are working together to bring down this country.  The Democrats might initiate the destruction, but the Republicans facilitate it.  How tragic!

Paul wins CPAC presidential straw poll, Rubio takes second | Fox News

Paul wins CPAC presidential straw poll, Rubio takes second | Fox News

Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) speaking before an audience at CPAC.

Senator Rand Paul won this years Conservative Political Action Conference 2016 presidential preference straw poll.  Paul was considered the favorite to win this award for no other reason than the fact that he led in a 13-hour Senate filibuster not too long ago.  Florida Republican Senator Marco Rubio finished second among the 23 names on the ballot, garnering 23% of the vote.  Paul won with 25% of the vote.  The poll was co-sponsored by the Washington Times.

Even though Paul may have won the CPAC straw poll this year, don't look for him to be a likely candidate to win the GOP nod in 2016.  His chances of winning the GOP nomination for president in 2016 are as great as his dad's (former Congressman Ron Paul) was.  He doesn't fit the mold that the globalists desire.  The most likely candidate to win the 2016 GOP nomination is Jeb Bush, according to my view.

Dr. Carson Hints a White House Run, Exciting Conservatives

Dr. Carson hints a White House run, exciting conservatives | Fox News

Dr. Ben Carson

Dr. Benjamin Carson, who doing this year's National Prayer Breakfast speech criticized some of President Obama's economic policies, hinted today that he might be interested in a 2016 presidential run.  Carson, a gifted John Hopins pediatric neurosurgeon, criticized Obama's stance on higher taxes and the new health care law.  He is so popular amongst conservatives that his name is on a ballot for CPAC's straw poll for a 2016 presidential candidate.

NYC Soda Ban is Temporarily Halted by a New York Supreme Court Judge

NYC soda ban hits restaurants Tuesday - CSMonitor.com

Isn't it just wonderful that New York City has such a wonderful mayor as Michael "Nanny" Bloomberg.  He really cares about the health and well being of New Yorker's.  So he passed a law which bans sugary soft drinks in New York City.  Fortunately, a judge halts NYC's super-sized sugary drink ban.  If Bloomberg has his way, New Yorker's won't be able to purchase surgary soft drinks.  However, he has New York's best inerests at heart!!!  What a mayor!!

I guarantee you whenever the key provisions of Obamacare are implemented next year, we will be seeing more and more efforts to ban soft drinks and sweets as the federal and state governments are exerting more and more control over their constituents.  Obamacare gives the government a bigger hand in the lives of its citizens.  To read the full story, click on the link above.

Dozens of WH Senior Staffers Making Six-Figure Salaries Amid Sequester Woes

Dozens of WH senior staffers making six-figure salaries amid sequester woes | Fox News

Even though the federal government is closing its doors to public tours in order to "save money", White House senior staffers are still making six-figure salaries amid the "sequester."  The government might make cuts when it comes to our nations soldiers and cuts to the military, it still has enough money to pay President Obama's cronies.  It's abominable!  The government also has enough money to finance a study involving overweight lesbians.  There are no budget cuts.  The government may cut the military to the point where it's effectiveness is reduced, but it will redistribute that money to fund a project that's foolish.  All of Obama's cronies and the Congressional staffers will be taken care of regardless what happens.  But if the average "Joe" suffers, that's too bad.  It's the same old politics as usual.  The wealthy and affluent will be fine.  Too bad for everyone else.

Rand Paul Claims He's 'Seriously" Mulling White House Bid in 2016

Rand Paul says he's 'seriously' mulling White House run in 2016 - Washington Times

Senator Rand Paul (R-KY)

Fresh from a Senate filibuster last week, Senator Rand Paul says he's seriously mulling over the possibility of placing his name in a 2016 presidential bid.  Following the filibuster he launched last week in the Senate, he's now stating he's looking to seek the presidency.  He mentioned back at the end of last year he might seek the office in 2016.

With the national exposure that Paul gained as a result of the Senate filibuster last week, he's trying to position himself as a candidate for president.  What kind of chance does he have to win the GOP nomination in 2016?  Very slim, if even that.  However, he'll have the opportunity for all kinds of photo-ops and debates and a ton of national exposure whenever he's out on the campaign trail in 2016.

John Brennan Confirmed as CIA Director, But Filibuster Brings Scrutiny of Drone Program

John Brennan confirmed as CIA director, but filibuster brings scrutiny of drone program - The Washington Post

John Brennan has been confirmed as the new CIA director.

On Wednesday Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) launched an "old-fashioned" filibuster over Obama's choice of the next CIA director, which is John Brennan.  The filibuster generated extraordinary scrutiny of the Obama administration's drone-strike program and revealed "supposedly" some striking divisions and alliances on Capitol Hill over the president's anti-terrorist tactics overseas.  After the filibuster, Brennan confirmed to be the next CIA director by a vote of 63 to 34.  The filibuster began Wednesday afternoon and lasted for 13 hours, ending at midnight on Thursday.  Paul wanted the White House to clarify that it would not use aerial drones on U.S. soil to kill American citizens suspected of terrorism.

On Monday in a letter to Paul, Attorney General Eric Holder said that an "extraordinary" circumstance such as 9/11 or the 1941 Pearl Harbor attacks might warrant the president to authorize the use of military to utilize lethal force in the U.S. Holder said the situation he was making was "entirely hypothetical."  Holder sent a second brief letter to Paul which stated, "It has now come to my attention that you have now asked an additional question: 'Does the president have the authority to use a weaponized drone to to kill an American not engaged in combat on American soil?"  Holder wrote, 'The answer to that question is no.'  Paul said he was satisfied with that answer.

Paul stated he was satisfied with the answer.  The question I have to ask Paul is how can you trust anything that Holder says?  He's been dishonest on a number of questions in the past I wouldn't take his word that President Obama wouldn't use drone attacks on American soil.

When I heard about Rand Paul's filibuster Wednesday, I was thinking it would've been great if some Republican would've utilized a filibuster when the Affordable Care Act was being debated before the Senate in 2009.  Why the GOP didn't utilize a filibuster to stop the passage of Obamacare in 2009 is anybody's guess.

100 Years Ago: Instituting the Income Tax

100 Years Ago: Instituting the Income Tax

100 Years Ago: Instituting the Income Tax

February 13, 2013 marked the 100th anniversary of the ratification of the federal income tax which gave the federal government the power to impose the federal income tax.  It's hard to imagine that at one point in American history there wasn't such a day as April 15th when all Americans' income tax returns were due to the government.  Prior to 100 years ago, there was a brief period in American history when a federal income tax was used to help fund the Civil War, but otherwise taxes were collected by means of tariffs and excise taxes.  Tariffs were taxes on imported goods.  Excise taxes are similar to the modern day sales taxes.  They were collected on goods such as carriages, whiskey, and horses, for example.  The excise tax was an indirect tax.  Prior to the 16th amendment, the federal government was much smaller.  Due to the ratification of the 16th amendment, the government has really grown in scope and size as a result of this tool.  The income tax amendment was one of the tenets of the Progressive movement and it affects us to this very day.  It's given the federal government the opportunity to pit one class of Americans against another class of Americans.  It's the 'rich' vs. 'poor' argument.  As former Supreme Court Justice John Marshall said in the famous McCulloch vs. Maryland case, "The power to tax is the power to destroy."

Michigan Governor Snyder Declares Detroit a Fiscal Disaster

Michigan Governor Snyder Declares Detroit a Fiscal Disaster

Michigan Governor Snyder Declares Detroit a Fiscal Disaster

Detroit, once the fifth largest and wealthiest in the country, is now a financial disaster.  Michigan Governor Rick Snyder stated that Detroit's financial condition is so grievious that a special emergency financial manager (EFM) would have to be appointed to take over from the city council which appears to be at the end of the line from the once great city.

Detroit today has hit rock bottom.  It has lost nearly 60% of its population since its peak in 1950.  The tax revenues have declined by $100 million within the last decade.  One third of the citizens that live in Detroit now live in poverty.  Detroit has a $327 million budget deficit and more than $14 billion in long-term debt.  Detroit has a population of over 700,000, among whom many don't pay taxes.  Another sad record of Detroit was in 2012 it had the highest rate of violent crime of any city of over 200,000 population in the country.  Detroit also set its highest homicide rate in 20 years as well.  Many of them are drug-related.

It's tragic how Detroit has spiraled downhill in the last 20 years or better.  Detroit used to be the home of the Big Three, which are GM, Ford, and Chrysler.  Detroit used to be the car manufacturing center of America.  Now millions of auto manufacturing jobs has exited Detroit and even the U.S. within the last several years.  Detroit used to be a major industrial center.  Now it's a city with high crime rates and high jobless rates.

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez Dead After Battle With Cancer

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez dead after battle with cancer | Fox News

Former Venezuelan dictator Hugo Chavez

Hugo Chavez, the socialist dictator who ran Venezuela since 1999, died yesterday after battling with cancer for nearly two years.  He was first diagnosed with the cancer in June of 2011.  He was 58 years old.  Chavez has run Venezuela for 14 years as a virtual one-man show.  He gradually placed all state institutions under his personal control.  He had just won re-election this past October defeating the youthful Miranda State Gov. Henrique Capriles.  He will be expected to represent the opposition when the next election to replace Chavez takes place.  The Venzuelan constitution says that elections are to be called within 30 days.

Romney: 'It Kills Me' Not to Be President

Former 2012 GOP candidate Mitt Romney

Please, Mr. Romney, don't try to convince us that you really wanted to be president.  The presidency was there for you to win and you didn't win.  There's no execuse for you to run the poor campaign you did last year.  Last year should've been a landslide victory for you but you just played the role of the Republican opposition.  I don't believe you planned on being president.  If you were serious about the presidency, you would've run a very spirited campaign and called Obama out on the issues.  Don't begin to tell me you wanted the presidency.  You could've been.

The $6 Trillion Man--Debt Up That Much Under Obama

The $6 Trillion Man--Debt Up That Much Under Obama | CNS News

President Barack ObamaPresident Barack Obama

According to the U.S. treasury, the debt of the federal government has now increased by $6 trillion by the time that Barack Obama has been president, which began on January 20, 2009.  At the close of business on January 20, 2009, the national debt was over $10 and a half trillion.  At the close of business on Thursday, February 28, 2013, the national debt was over $16 and-a-half trillion.  Thus far in the Obama presidency, the debt has climbed to over $6 trillion.  Under Obama the debt has increased under him more than presidents George Washington through Bill Clinton put together.  The total federal debt didn't exceed $6 trillion until 2003 during the presidency of George W. Bush.  In less than eleven years from June 27, 2002 until present, the federal debt has increased to more than $10 trillion.  And the debt keeps on climbing.  I venture to say that if President Obama has his way during his second term, he'll spend more than $6 trillion.  I project the deficit will be over $23 trillion by the time Obama finishes his second term.  And that's a very conservative estimate, I guarantee you that.

Thus far everything's going according to plan for the president.  Obama's fiscal policy is "spend baby spend."  To read the full story, click on above link from CNSNews.com.

Who Killed the Middle Class?

Who Killed the Middle Class? | CNS News

Pat Buchanan

Syndicated columnist Pat Buchanan wrote an interesting piece about the middle class.  He was speaking of what's killed America's middle class in the last few decades.  In this particular article, he focuses on some of the trade agreements that's hurt America's manufacturing base such as NAFTA, for example.  Also, America has had large trade deficits with other countries around the world since the 70's.

I will mention a couple of other things that's hurt America's middle class within the last few decades as well.  One of those is a declining work ethic among America's workers.  There are many people in our labor force who are lazy and don't won't to work.  Another problem is the onerous regulations that the federal, state, and local governments impose upon American business.  One major obstacle to job growth will be Obamacare whenever the key provisions of it are set in place in 2014.  Fred DeLuca, co-founder of Subway stated recently that he wouldn't have been able to have started Subway if the same governmental regulations were imposed upon small businesses back in the 60's.  He stated that if Obamacare goes as planned he will have to pass the costs upon the customers.  I posted an article on one of my blogposts last year which stated that if many of the existing businesses had to start today, they wouldn't be able to exist because of the onerous regulations placed upon them from government.
