55% of Small Business Owners Would not Start Company Today Due to Government Regulations

55 percent of small business owners would not start company today, blame Obama | WashingtonExaminer.com#.UGMlxI1lQ18#.UGMlxI1lQ18

55% of small business owners and manufacturers would not have started their businesses in today's economy, according to a new poll that also reports 69% say President Obama's regulatory policies have hurt their businesses.  Jay Timmons, president of the National Association of Manufacturers, said, "There is far too much uncertainty, too many burdensome regulations and too few policymakers willing to put aside their egos and fulfill their responsibilities to the American people."  The poll reports another ominous statistic for job creation: "67% say there is too much uncertainty in the market today to expand, grow, or hire new workers.

I know of a way to lay aside the fears of uncertainty in the marketplace: The government needs to strike down all the burdensome regulations which make it nearly impossible for small businesses to thrive and grow.  I believe it would be proper for the federal court system to strike down these laws because they are unconstitutional.  The federal government is interfering with business owners' abilities to start and grow businesses.  America's economy was built on the free enterprise system.  All the new regulations that have been enacted either through Congress or through President Obama is hampering our economy.  Our economy would be growing if it weren't for the passage of Dodd-Frank and Obamacare in 2010 to name a few.  Many businesses don't know what the costs of Obamacare will entail.  We'll find out in 2014.  This is all part of the president's plan to destroy capitalism.

Team Obama Redesigns American Flag

Team Obama Redesigns American Flag | The Military Wire - seattlepi.com

Team Obama's Redesigned Flag

The Obama campaign has decided to redesign the American flag.  It's called, "Our Stripes, Flag Print."  When President Obama first campaigned for president four years ago, he stated he would fundamentally transform America.  He's went another step on his website and has redesigned his own version of the American flag.  If Obama wants to relocate to another continent and start another country, then he should take that flag with him.  Don't be imposing this flag upon this country.  This flag doesn't represent America.  President Obama nor his cronies shouldn't be rebranding the American flag.  This rebranding of the flag shows me that President Obama doesn't respect America's traditions and past.  This is disgraceful.

According to the latest POLITICO-George Washington University Battleground Poll with middle-class families, which comprise about 54% of the total American electorate and usually split in their vote behavior between Republicans and Democrats, Romney holds a 14-point advantage (55% - 41%).  Middle-class families are more inclined to believe the country is on the wrong track (34% right direction, 62% wrong track), are more likely to hold an unfavorable view of Obama, (51% -48%) and hold a more favorable view of Romney (51% - 44%) and Paul Ryan favorable (46% - 35%) than the overall electorate.  These middle-class families also hold a majority unfavorable rating according to President Obama's job performance (54% -45%).

Some Advice For Mr. Romney

GOP candidate Mitt Romney

According to the latest tracking poll from Rasmussen Reports on Thursday, January 20, 2012, President Barack Obama edges Mitt Romney nationwide by 47% vs. 45%.  In some of the battleground states such as Ohio, Florida, Nevada, and Wisconsin, they are currently a toss-up even though Obama has a narrow lead in some of those states.  The election is still too close to call even though Barack Obama even though Obama has an edge on electoral votes as we speak.  I have some much-needed advice for GOP candidate Mitt Romney

1.  Mitt Romney, you are the GOP candidate for president.  You were formally nominated by the GOP convention during the last week of August.  You need to step up and totally transform your campaigning style.  You need to campaign with some fire in your belly.  You need to campaign like you're really serious about winning the presidency.  An appearance of a lack of seriousness is hurting your campaign.  You need to campaign as if America's through if Obama wins re-election.  You know Obama is socialist.  Stand up and campaign like a serious contender.  Call an ace an ace and a spade a spade.  Call out Obama for who he is.  Pull no punches but tell the truth.  After that, present the voters what your plan and vision is for America.

2.  You need to acknowledge the fact that the probably with President Obama isn't he's clueless.  The plan he's executing is exactly the plan he wants to take place.  President Obama is a socialist.  He is transforming this nation into a socialist nation.  It's very evident.  You don't want to admit Obama is a socialist, but his actions prove he is.  He's taken over General Motors, signed Obamacare into law and Dodd-Frank into law.  Both of those bills will destroy jobs and make those existing businesses much more difficult to operate due to excessive government interference.

3.  You need to explain your stance on illegal immigration and amnesty.  What do you plan to do with those illegal aliens that are existing?  Will you crack down on employers that hire illegal aliens?

4.  You've mentioned you want to repeal Obamacare and replace it with your own plan.  What kind of healthcare plan do you have?  Is it Romneycare?  Is it the same health plan that you and the state legislature passed in Massachusetts in 2006?  Your plan is similar to Obamacare.

5.  What are you going to do about taxation?  Do you have any plans to abolish the present tax code?  If you don't are you going to lower the present tax rates?  I have a suggestion for you: abolish the present tax code and institute a flat tax.

6.  Lastly, offer specifics, not generalities.  Don't just say that Obama is wrong, give suggestions on how to correct the problem.

Wall Street Journal Hits Romney For Failing To Offer Specifics About His Policies

Wall Street Journal Hits Romney For Failing To Offer Specifics About His Policies | Mediaite

GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney

One of Mitt Romney's problems in this campaign is that he doesn't offer any specifics in his campaigns on how to fix the nation's economic problems.  He will tell you that President Obama's policies doesn't work.  Consequently he refuses to educate the public about the economy and how the private sector works.  He can criticize President Obama's failed policies all he wants.  But he needs to answer some questions on what he will do as president such as what is he going to do with the influx of illegal immigrants in America.  He claims he will repeal Obamacare and replace it with his own plan.  What is his own plan?  Is it the same healthcare plan that he and the state legislature passed in Massachusetts?  If it is then it won't be much different than Obamacare.

The Wall Street Journal's editorial page took a stab at some of Romney's responses in "Meet the Press" interview.  Click on the above link from Mediaite to read what Romney's responses were.

Romney Defends Donor Comment

Romney defends donor comment, says more jobs will mean more taxes | Fox News

GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney on Fox News Neil Cavuto

Mitt Romney, in an interview with Neil Cavuto on Fox News, defended his comments from a fundraiser earlier this year in which he said that nearly 47% of Americans will vote for President Obama this fall, no matter what.  Romney said many of them don't pay federal income taxes and they are his base supporters.  He said they believe they are also victims.  The sad truth of the matter is Romney's right.  This race appears it will be close this fall even though the pendulum has appeared to be swinging in Obama's favor last week due to the Libyan attack.  There are a segment of Americans that are dependent upon the government for food stamps and other government services.  They believe that the government owes them a living.

We are living in an America that has been dumbed down as a result of illegal immigration.  Also, attitude changes about the role of government differ among the various age groups.  A large core of Obama's supporters derive from young people ages 18-30.  Mitt Romney should be utilizing the opportunity to be the "educator-in-chief" to Americans.  He could educate people on how the economy functions.  He could explain to Americans what the American dream is all about.  Romney could teach people that satisfaction comes from labor, not from the federal government.  He should explain that you'll have more self-esteem if you'll work for your.  Romney's family are the embodiment of success.  Both Romney and his father accumulated their wealth through labor.  The American dream is about possessing the freedom to worship God and eat the fruits of your own labor.  Our early forefathers who came to America weren't looking for a handout from the government.  They came to worship the Lord according to their conscience and to make their own living.  There's much Romney could do to educate the public but he won't because he's a tool of the forces of Nimrod.

Teacher Evaluations at Center of Chicago Strike

My Way News - Teacher evaluations at center of Chicago strike

The Chicago teacher's strike, which is on its second week now, are protesting against the mayor's demand that teacher evaluations be tied to student performance.  Teachers have walked off the job to strike for the first time in 25 years.  Rahm Emanuel is pushing hard to implement the new evaluations, and that is one of the main points of contention in a nasty negotiation between the Chicago Public Schools and the Chicago Teacher's Union, where President Karen Lewis has called a "fight for the very soul of public education.  Nearly 350,000 students are out of class as the city and union fight over pay and job security.

One thing that's definitely needed is some accountability in the school system.  There needs to be some type of evaulation for teachers in that area.  It doesn't serve the best interests of the students and public to have teachers sitting behind desks that are incompetent or don't fulfill the requirements of their job.  I do recognize the primary problem in most students revolves around the home.  However, students shouldn't have to sit in schools that are "dumbing down" students."  What would help is for parents to opt out of paying taxes to school systems that are failing.  Parents should have a choice of what type of school they desire to send their children.  They shouldn't have to pay tax dollars to a public school system if they don't send their children there.

General Motors Pushing U.S. to Sell Stake

General Motors pushing U.S. to sell stake: report - MarketWatch

The treasury department is resisting General Motors' push for the government to sell off its stake in the automobile maker, according to the Wall Street Journal.  Following a $50 billion bailout in 2009, the government now owns almost 27% of the company.  The newspaper said GM's executives are chafing that and it hurts its reputation to lure top talent due to pay restrictions.

Of course, I'm not surprised the government doesn't want to remove its hand from General Motors.  The government is all about control.  Our federal government is doing nothing but working to destroy capitalism.  The transformation from America as a capitalist nation to a socialist nation is almost complete.

Under Obama, 11,327 Pages of Federal Regulations Added

Under Obama, 11,327 Pages of Federal Regulations Added | cnsnews.com

Randy JohnsonRandy Johnson, senior vice president of labor, immigration, and employee benefits at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce speaking about the cost of federal regulations on the U.S. economy.

According to CNSNews.com, the bound edition of the Code of Federal Regulations has increased by 11,327 pages, a 7.4 percent increase from January 1, 2009 to December 31, 2011.  In 2009, the increase in the number of pages was the most over the last decade, 3.4 percent or 5359 pages.  Just a quick footnote President Barack Obama began his presidency on January 20, 2009 so the number of pages of federal regulations were going to start increasing that year.  Over the past decade, the federal government has issued almost 38,000 new final rules, according to the draft of the 2011 annual report to Congress on federal regulations by the Office of Management and Budget.  This brought the total at the end of 2011 to 169,301 pages.

I can't imagine the number of federal regulations will be issued if President Obama wins a second term.  President Obama's goal is the destruction of capitalism.  It will be terrible in 2014 once key provisions of Obamacare are implemented.  I predict we're looking at potential massive unemployment if nothing is done to stop Obamacare.  All these new regulations do nothing but further hamper job creation in America.

Consulate Attack Planned as 2-Part Militant Assault, According to Libyan Official

Consulate attack planned as 2-part militant assault, Libyan official says | Fox News

For quite some time we've been hearing about an October surprise that President Obama might use to his benefit in this year's election.  I believe this year's October surprise has come a month early with the Libyan terror attack against the U.S. consolate on Tuesday.  U.S. officials are increasingly suspicious that the murder of Chris Stevens, U.S. ambassador to Libya and three other American officials aren't the result of a protest against an anti-Islamic film but was a coordinated terror striked timed for the 11th anniversary of the September 11th attacks.  A Libyan official said that the deadly attack on the U.S. consolate in Benghazi was a planned two-part operation that included a raid on a supposedly secret safe house.  House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Rogers (R-MI) told Fox News that the strike was a "coordinated military-style" operation.

Poll: Romney, Obama Running Neck and Neck Among Likely Voters

Poll: Romney, Obama running neck and neck among likely voters - The Hill's Ballot Box

President Barack Obama and GOP Presidential candidate Mitt Romney

A new poll earlier this week found President Barack Obama and GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney neck-and-neck among likely voters after the party conventions and less than two months before election day.  A new Washington Post/ABC News poll shows Obama with 49% of the vote compared to Romney's 48% among likely voters, a two-point boost for Obama and a 1-point bump for Romney since the same poll last month.  The poll comes amid a slew of surveys showing Obama with a post-convention bounce of 5 points in Gallup's and Rasmussen's polls and a 6-point edge in a CNN/ORC survey.

Even though Obama and Romney are in a dead heat among likely votes in the Post/ABC survey, the poll finds the president six points ahead of Romney among registered voters surveyed at 50-44 percent, which is his best showing since early April.  Before the convention, the poll found Romney with a 47-46 edge over Obama among those voters registered.

Forecast For GOP Senate Takeover: More Clouds

Forecast for GOP Senate takeover: More clouds - David Catanese - POLITICO.com

The Capitol building is seen. | Jay Westcott/POLITICO

Nearly a year ago, it appeared to be a sure thing that the GOP would take over the Senate in the 2012 election.  The way things now appear it's a 50-50 chance.  Politico has surveyed more than a dozen Republican top strategists last week to gauge the party's outlook for the upper chamber coming out of the conventions into the election home stretch.  Even though they say it's not impossible, the road to Republican victory will be narrower than it was a few months ago.  Events such as the retirement of Olympia Snowe in Maine and Todd Akin's remarks about rape have made Senate races much tighter.  Until Akin's comments about rape, incumbent Claire McCaskill's seat seemed to be in reach for Rep. Akin.  Now that seat is a tossup.

DNC 2012: Bill Clinton’s speech at the Democratic National Convention (Full transcript) - The Washington Post

Former president Bill Clinton gave his speech endorsing President Barack Obama on Wednesday September 6, 2012.  I listened to part of the speech last night.  I personally don't believe Bill Clinton believes what he said in that speech.  He's just another politician supporting the liberal cause in the Democratic Party.  Clinton mentions how President Obama inherited a very damaged economy under his predecessor, George W. Bush.  I can't deny that.  Consequently, President Obama took the torch from his predecessor and drove our economy on a further downhill slide.  He's driven America further into socialism.  This is his agenda.  The takedown of capitalism is what the Democratic Party is all about.  And the Republicans just watch them do it without any fierce opposition.

First Lady Michelle Obama Speaks at the 2012 Democratic National Convention

First lady tells personal side of husband's policies – USATODAY.com

At the 2012 Democratic National Convention on Tuesday, First Lady Michelle Obama spoke about their "journey in life" and she grounded her husband's policy initiatives in personal terms.  She was trying to convince the audience that she and her husband know the struggles of family life and trying to make it on a family budget.  I don't know what their financial situation was in the early years of their marriage, but they've done very well financially at least in the last eight years with her husband winning a Senate seat from Illinois and the presidency in 2008.

You can tell me all your stories about the hardships of a family but that doesn't mean that your husband is worthy of a second term.  I don't care how poor you may have been at one time in your life.  That doesn't mean you understand the struggles the American people are facing.  Once you enter into the political arena, you're into a whole different foray.  You become part of the ruling elite club, regardless if you're a Democrat or Republican.  The way your husband has governed the last few years gives me indication that he doesn't care anymore than the Republicans are.  You're all part of the ruling elite and the agenda does nothing but promote socialism.

WASHINGTON: Federal Court Strikes Down Texas Voter ID Law

WASHINGTON: Federal court strikes down Texas voter ID law - Nation Wires - MiamiHerald.com

In a resounding rebuke of Texas' Republican leadership, a three-judge panel Thursday struck down the state's new far-reaching voter ID law, which the court said illegally suppressed Latino and African-American voters.  The court ruling is very stupid.  Common sense screams out that in order to help prevent election fraud that a photo ID should be presented at the polling place before any voter is allow to go into the voting booth.  It has nothing to do with race.  I don't care whether it's male or female, white, black, or Hispanic.  Every voter should be compelled to reveal their photo ID before entering the booth.  Leave politics aside.  I have to show proof of identification in the state in which I live.  I have no problem with it.  The purpose of using photo ID is to prevent voter fraud.  Maybe the Obama administration desires for voter fraud to take place.  It's probably those type of people that Obama needs in order to ensure he wins a second term.

Mitt Romney's Acceptance Speech at the Republican National Convention

Former Massachusetts Governor and GOP presidential candidate gave his acceptancer speech at the 2012 Republican National Convention this past Thursday.

Ann Richards' Keynote Address at the Democratic National Convention in 1988

I chose this particular keynote address from former Texas governor Ann Richards in 1988 because of one of the most notable comments made that year during the Democratic National Convention.  She was poking fun at then vice-president George H.W. Bush when it came to his wealth.  She was insinuating that Bush was out of touch with American women and working class Americans.  She made the notable comment, "Poor George, he was born with a silver foot in his mouth."  I think it was also in this address she said that then president Ronald Reagan liked women, but he liked them in the kitchen.  She was ridiculing former President Ronald for his stance against ERA (Equal Rights Amendment.)

Ann Richards would later run for governor of Texas in 1990.  She beat Republican candidate Clayton Williams that year.  Richards served one term as governor of Texas, losing to Bush 41's son, George W. Bush.
