You're very candid in mentioning you haven't read the party platform. Why say that right before the GOP convention? I understand that you favor a one-page platform and that's understandable, Mr. Speaker. But you don't help your cause saying you haven't read the party platform. Of course, it doesn't make any difference to you or your Republican cohorts what the platform says anyhow. You're not going to fight for what you claim your party believes in. You've shown that during the last two years since you became Speaker of the House. You only care about the issues when it comes to certain elections such as the one in 2010 which resulted in you becoming Speaker of the House. Once the election is over, who cares about the
issue. You want the issue but you don't want to solve the problem. That's descriptive of you and the current Republican leadership in the House. You need to be voted out in November.
You mentioned in Tampa that you believe that the party platform should be a one-page document. The truth is the "A Pledge to America" that you House Republicans unveiled in 2010 was 48-pages long. Regardless whether it's one page or more, you need to know what's in the platform. Otherwise, you're saying what's written on the platform isn't worth the cost of the ink to print it.
