On Monday April 5, 2021, Baylor University won their first NCAA championship defeating an undefeated Gonzaga team by the score of 86-70.  The private Christian college thanked God as they stood in a circle on the court after the game.  The win came a year after the 2020 NCAA tournament was cancelled due to the Covid pandemic.  The Bears Jared Butler won the NCAA Final Four most valuable player award.  Baylor's head coach Scott Drew praised his team for the hard work they exhibited during the run to the championship game.

It's great to see a team giving praise to God after winning a game.  Within the last year we've seen teams kneeling during the national anthem to protest the killing of George Floyd last year on May 27.  It's great to see a team giving thanks to God for their accomplishments.  It's great to see some positive news in the sports world.
