Newt Gingrich to "Explore" Run for the 2012 Presidential Race

(Washington Times March 3, 2011) Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich announced in Atlanta today that he is creating a website to ask people to donate to "Newt Explore 2012."  Gingrich has hinted at a possible run for the presidential race for 2012 as far back as the summer of 2010.  However, he trails far behind former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee and former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney when it comes to seeking a bid for the presidency.  Gingrich claims he isn't going to pull a trigger on running for the presidency unless he feels sure he can win.

Considering the fact that Gingrich has expressed his desire to run for the presidency, Fox News for now no longer employees him as a contributor for the network.  Fox News doesn't employ candidates running for political office.  It's one of Fox News' rules.

I don't believe Gingrich has much of a chance to win the Republican nomination for the presidency.  However, he can make money while running for the presidency.  Therefore, entering the presidential race can profit him financially.  We don't need Newt Gingrich as president.  He had his chance at politics when he was in the House.   He's does a far greater service for America by involving himself in his own organization, "American Solutions for Winning the Future" than he would if he were to run for office.
