president Joe Biden's Inauguraiton

Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. was sworn in as the nation's 46th president on Wednesday January 20, 2021.  He was sworn in as the oldest president being 78 years old.  Also, former California Senator Kamala Harris was the first woman sworn in as vice-president of the United States.  She is partly African American and Asian.  Previously, there were two women on the vice-presidential ticket in the past.  Geraldine Ferraro was the first woman on a vice presidential ticket along with Walter Mondale in 1984.  That ticket lost to Ronald Reagan that year.  In 2008 former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin was on the vice-presidential ticket with presidential candidate John McCain.  But they lost to Barack Obama that year.  Nevertheless this year Harris is the first woman to become vice-president.

I do have plans to watch the inaugural speech this weekend due to working this week.  I will say at the outset I am greatly concerned for the welfare of this country giving those that supported the candidacy of Biden and Harris.  I believe the agenda will be more of the opposite from former President Trump's agenda.  Joe Biden stated he was going to reverse many of former President Trump's executive orders such as eliminating the Muslim travel ban, cancelling the Keystone XL pipeline project, for example.  I sadly expect tomorrow President Biden will reverse the executive order banning abortions in military hospitals and other places.  Tomorrow is the 48th anniversary of Roe vs. Wade.  There will be a demonstration from the right to life crowd but it won't be anything like past marches due to the Covid pandemic.  Instead, many will have to watch the march virtually.  I think CBN news will air the right to life march.  I believe the Biden administration will bring us a step closer to communism and more controls will be imposed upon the American people.  Biden has already signed an order that requires wearing masks on federal property.  Also, Biden intends on revoking many of the tax cuts that were enacted during the Trump administration in December 2017.  With both houses of Congress being under Democrat control, there's a great possibility that many of our tax cuts will be eliminated, even with a 50-50 Senate with Harris being the tie breaker.  We do need to pray for God's mercy upon our country and pray that things won't be as bad as they could be.  God was merciful to us during the Clinton, Bush '43, and Obama's administration.  I hope he does that again.  However, those that claim to be born again believers need to recognize our hope doesn't lie in who occupies the Oval Office or which party is in control on Capitol Hill.  Our hope is in Jesus.  Christians have a civic responsibility and we should involve ourselves in the political process.  But at the end of the day, we need to recognize not everything has a political solution to it.  Some things can only be solved by a move of God in our country.

I recognize there are some that refuse to watch the inauguration due to the events that took placer last year.     I do recognize that more than likely voter fraud was committed during last year's presidential election.  Why do I say that?  Most people in high places were so intent on removing Donald Trump as president in the last four years.  If they would stoop to any means to remove the former president, then how much of a stretch is it to manipulate last years vote?  However, Biden is legally recognized as our president and there's nothing we can do to my knowledge to rectify last year's election.  We have to move forward.  I believe last year's election was set up to defeat Trump because he adhere to the globalist agenda.  All his policies weren't perfect, but I do believe Trump was the most pro-American president since Ronald Reagan.  He was about God, country, and the Constitution.  That's why I voted for him.  It wasn't based on his personality.

During his inaugural address he spoke of uniting our country and that he would be a president for all people.  He also stated that democracy has it's day too.  I must remind the new president that America isn't a democracy, it's a republic.  It has democratic principles involved.  The electorate votes for their elected officials and sometimes votes on ballot initiatives during elections.  However, America is established upon a republic where representatives and Senators are supposed to represent the American people.  As far as the subject of unity, that flies opposite of what the leftist crowd has been doing the last four years.  Last year they stated that American was a racist nation and that it practices systemic racism.  It also singled out whites as being racial supremacists like that's the primary attitude of whites in general.  I highly doubt that.  I'm sure there are some white supremacists, but those fringe groups aren't going to have any kind of influence or leverage in America.  The news media will make sure of that.  The left has done nothing but cause division in America through race baiting and bashing our law enforcement officers.  There are some that need to be terminated, but I don't think that's the majority of our law enforcement officers.  They made the terrible situation where Derick Chauvin choked George Floyd and made it appear that's indicative of our law enforcement in general.  Black Lives Matter was greatly behind all the riots and violent protests that took place last summer.  It's nothing but hypocrisy when Biden speaks about unity.  However, the unity they're thinking of is a society where American is overrun with illegals, the LGBT groups is exalted to be the norm in society, and a society which will one day be under totalitarian rule, which will probably be sooner rather than later the way events have gone since last year's Covid pandemic.  We need to pray for our president and the new administration and pray for God's mercy upon our country.
