Rep. Michael McCaul, chairman of the Homeland Security Committee in the House, told Fox & Friends on Wednesday that contrary to Secretary of State John Kerry's claim that ISIS is on the run, McCaul said the terrorist group is on the rise.  He said with the unprecedented pace of terror denies reality that ISIS is on the run.  McCaul he was in Egypt and in Sinai and said that ISIS is concentrated in that area.  He said they are concentrated in Tunisia and Libya as well.

Former Green Beret Lt. Col. New Report Finds Common Core Doesn't Prepare Students for College




A new report finds what most Common Core critics have been saying for some time:  That is Common Core doesn't adequately prepare students for college.  The ACT finds many shortcomings in the Common Core state standards, whether it be math, English, or other subjects.  Teachers who must adjust their curriculum to fit aligned state tests now find themselves in a bind.  Since Common Core doesn't adequately cover material for students to survive in the classroom, teachers are in a bind.  They try to fit extra instruction with the limited teaching time they have to make sure each child has the instruction they need to succeed in the classroom.

Franklin Graham said that he wasn't endorsing any presidential candidate.  He appeals to Americans to pray and said that America is in serious trouble.  He stated both the Democratic and Republican parties have lost the moral vision for this nation.  He stated that we need a strong and courageous leader for president.  He said we need a president that will lead this nation to being one nation under God again.

In the end, the contest wasn't even close in California as former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton beat Socialist Bernie Sanders 56.0 to 43.1%.  It wasn't until daylight in the East coast that California was called with 99% of the voting in.  Clinton also won the contest in New Jersey (63.1% to 36.7%).  It was a much narrower victory for Clinton in New Mexico, 51.5 to Sanders 48.5%.  Bernie Sanders won big in North Dakota (64.2% to Clinton's 25.6%).  Sanders also easily won Montana (51.1 to 44.6% for Clinton.)  Hillary Clinton has declared herself the Democrats' nominee.  She is the Democratic presumptive nominee and will remain so until the Democratic National Convention later this summer.  There are a number of super delegates that are in the tank for her so they'll probably place her over the top this summer.  This is according to my estimation and not the one who wrote the article.

A new poll from Reuters shows Hillary Clinton enjoys an 11-point lead over Donald Trump 46-35 overall nationally.  Back in the month of May, the poll between the two candidates was statistically tied.  Trump has shed support from voters over the last two weeks concerning issues over Trump University as well as donations to veterans' groups following a January fundraiser.  Clinton leads Trump among women by 15 points and among men by 8 points.  Trump continues to lead against Hillary amongst seniors by seven points.  Hillary leads amongst the younger voters.

Muhammad Ali, who was known as the world's great heavyweight champion who promised to shock the world has died.  He floated.  He stung.  And he thrilled.  He died Friday at age 74.  He was hospitalized in Phoenix with respiratory problems earlier this week and his children had flown from around the country.  Bob Gunnell, Ali's doctor, said that Ali died of septic shock.  Ali had Parkinson's Disease.  Funeral services are Friday June 10, 2016 in Louisville, Kentucky.  Click on the above link to read the story from CNSNews.com.

Trent Franks (R-AZ) who once headed Arizona's Subcommittee on Child Protection and Family Preservation as a state lawmaker stated that children function best when they're reared in a two-parent traditional family unit consisting of a mother and father; not with same-sex or divorced parents.  He said their chance of success in life are better when reared in that kind of atmosphere.  He's exactly right.  The two parent model with a married mother and father is God's formula for the family unit dating back to the first three chapters of Genesis and nothing will ever match that formula.  That's God's formula for the human race when it comes to family relationships.  Click on the above link to read the full results.

According to the Cato minimum federal wage increases would do little to help workers at the bottom of the economic ladder.  Instead, it would do nothing but help further contribute to wage stagnation, and create even more sub-minimum wage jobs. 

As I've said all along, raising the federal minimum wage isn't going to help those on the bottom rung of the economic ladder.  It will lead to price increases and everybody would have to pay more money for the same goods.  It doesn't benefit anybody.  Not only that, but the work force would be reduced as a result of raising the minimum wage in entry level jobs.  Fast food employers like Wendy's are using kiosks as a way to save money in the workers.  They would be used to replace employees when it comes to the cash register.  The costs of business operations would increase with government-mandated minimum wage increases.  Click on the above link to read the full story.

White House Spokesman Josh Earnest stated that President Obama is designating the month of June to celebrate the LGBT movement.  Earnest said he didn't know if Obama will participate in a gay pride parade or not.  I guarantee you President Obama would have no problem participating in such filth as that.  He's part of that crowd.  He has no reason to worry about negative publicity because he's not running for re-election anyway.
