Former Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, the influential conservative and provocative member  of the court, died Saturday morning at the age of 79.  The U.S. Marshals service in Washington confirmed his death.  He had retired to his residence to the Big Bend area in South Texas.  The service's spokeswoman, Donna Sellars stated that he didn't show up for breakfast Saturday morning.  That's when they found him dead.

Scalia was appointed by Ronald Reagan in 1986.  He helped move the court further to the right.  He was a constitutionalist.  He was in favor of gun rights and supported laws that outlawed abortions.  He was a strong advocate on privacy in favoring police searches and protection for defendant's rights.  To read the full story, click on the above link from CNSNews.com.
