Washington Times: Nearly One in Ten Employers to Drop Health Coverage

Nearly one in 10 employers to drop health coverage - Washington Times

Supporters of President Obama's health care law celebrate June 28, 2012 outside the Supreme Court after the court's ruling was announced. A narrow 5-4 majority led by Chief Justice G. Roberts Jr. upheld the controversial 2010 law. (Associated Press)

Last week I heard financial guru David Ramsey read an article over the radio from the Washington Times.  He was reading an article from them entitled, "Nearly One in 10 Employers to Drop Health Coverage."  I thought it was such an interesting article that I decided to link this article for today's post.  Some of you that are very supportive of the Affordable Care Act of 2010 don't know the ramifications involved in this bill.  Most of the key provisions of this new healthcare law will be implemented in 2014.  Many people will be surprised the disastrous effect Obamacare will have on businesses once it's fully implemented.  I've heard House Speaker John Boehner say numerous times that Obamacare is nothing but a job killer.  He's fully correct.  I support that statement even though I'm no John Boehner fan.  John Boehner needs to step aside and resign from the House Speaker position.  That in itself is another story.

If the House doesn't move to defund Obamacare immediately, then numerous small businesses will be reducing their payroll staff just to stay alive.  Employers with 50+ employees will face a penalty starting at $2000 per worker if they don't provide health coverage for their employees.  The unemployment rate will be very high with Obamacare in full force.
