Rodney King, the key figure in L.A. Riots in 1992.  He was videotaped beaten by four police officers on March 3, 1991 after he was stopped for speeding.  The videotape of him being beaten by four police officers was replayed over and over again on national television.

Rodney King, the motorist who was videotaped allegedly being beaten by four police officers on March 3, 1991, was found dead Sunday.  King's finance Cynthia Kelly called 911 at 5:25 a.m. to report that she had found him at the bottom of the swimming pool at their home in Rialto, California, police Lt. Dean Hardin said. Officers arrived to find King in the water and was unresponsive.  There were no signs of foul play.  He was transported to Arrowhead Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 6:11 a.m.
