Supporters Of 'Personhood Amendment' Make Case To Mississippi Voters

Supporters Of 'Personhood Amendment' Make Case To Mississippi Voters Fox News

On November 8th, voters in Mississippi will vote to decide whether or not to amend the Mississippi constitution so that in the words of the proposed amendment, "The term 'person' or 'persons' shall include every human being from the moment of fertilization."  There were a number of  "pro-choice" groups such as the ACLU and Planned Parenthood who sued to keep the initiative off the November ballot.  Thankfully, it didn't work out that way.  There's money that's made off doctors performing abortions.  That's why groups such as Planned Parenthood are opposed to the "Personhood amendment" being on the ballot because they're fearful there could be enough voters who will support the measure.  If the Mississippi voters decide to vote in favor of the "Personhood Amendment", then I believe the state supreme court will eventually try to overturn the decision if the voters agree to this amendment.

I was thinking about this proposed amendment since I started writing this particular post.  The truth of the matter is the issue pertaining to the sanctity of life shouldn't be put on a ballot, ideally speaking.  The reason for that is because life is sacred and that the issue regarding sanctity of life shouldn't be placed upon the ballot.  Common sense should dictate that life is worth preserving at all costs and that no doctor, no government official, or any type of earthly authority have the right to determine what constitutes life.  In today's society there's a great absence of common sense due to our nation drifting away from God's word.  On top of that we have many Americans who are gullible and will believe what they're told on the news without musing upon it.  They have no concept of what truth is today.  God has already spoken from scripture concerning children.  Psalms 127:3 says, "Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward."  That verse tells me that God places a high value upon children and that there's no room to determine the viability of the unborn child or "fetus" as the world refers to it.  An unborn child shouldn't be called a fetus.  Psalms 51:5 says, "Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me."  Even though all children are conceived in sin, they are automatically a human being once conception takes place.  As a result of what scripture says about children, no earthly authority has the right to determine whether or not an unborn child in the womb is a human being.

As a result of the philosophy of secular humanism, there have been elitist groups that have tried to change the definition of when is an unborn baby a human being.  They have no regard for the Word of God and the fact that God places a high value upon the sanctity of life.  With the secularization of the court system, the ruling elites in the judiciary have taken on the role of playing God in court cases revolving around the issue of the life of the unborn.  Abortion is murder.  Abortion should never be relegated to a vote, ideally speaking.   I do encourage voters who are conservative and pro-life to turn out in droves to vote for this amendment.  Voters need to make their voices heard and let the state legislature and the state courts in Mississippi know that a baby is a human being from the moment of conception.  As I said earlier, the sanctity of life should never be put to a vote from an ideal standpoint. Nevertheless, given the fact that the court system has stated that an unborn baby isn't viable in the womb for a period of months prior to birth, conservative voters need to send a message to their state legislatures that a baby is a human being from the moment of conception and nobody has a right to change that.  Anytime there's an issue that revolves around the unborn voters need to stand up and send a message that God gives life and God takes it away.  Man has no right to play God.  God has already spoken on the matter.  I encourage all Mississippi voters to vote for this amendment on November 8.
