Former Congressman Eric Massa Claims "He Forced Himself out of Congress" on the Glenn Beck Program

Congressman Eric Mass (D-NY) resigned from Congress this past Monday. He presented some contradictory reasons why he resigned from Congress. He said this past weekend he had resigned due to cancer. Then on Monday he claimed he resigned due to some of the heavy-handed tactics by the Democrats in trying to bribe him to vote for the recent healthcare bill. He supposedly was one of the deciding voters on the healthcare bill. Now there's ethics charges filed against him that says he used "salty" language and groped some of his male staff members. It's very contradictory and we don't know what to believe. Yesterday Glenn Beck interviewed him on his Fox News television program. Glenn Beck announced Monday he was going to conduct an hourlong interview with former Congressman Eric Massa and he thought that what he might have to say could enlighten the American people on some of the corruption taking place in Congress. Consequently, the interview was less than desirable. Beck nor the American people learned anything new in regards to corruption by the Democrats or the Obama White House. Beck even said at the waning moments of his television program that he apologizes to the American people for wasting their time in conducting this interview. Glenn Beck stated when he first came to Fox that he wouldn't waste one minute of America's time when he airs his program. I understand how Beck had to feel but it wasn' his fault. Even though we didn't learn what we would've liked to have found out, we at least found out we can't trust what this former Congressmen says. As far as I'm concerned, Massa is under a cloud of suspicion I believe there's more to the ethics charges than what meets the eye. Massa wrapped up his interviews for the day when he appeared on "Larry King Live" on CNN.

When the interview with Glenn Beck first began, Eric Massa stated he wasn't forced out of Congress. "I forced myself out of Congress." Beck was asking him about the allegations about him sexually groping males. Massa responded by saying that he never groped anyone sexually. He took responsibility for the events leading up to his resignation Monday. That declaration contradicted statements he made to Glenn Beck that Democratic leaders forced him out because of his opposition to their healthcare reform bill. "I did nothing sexual, but I did things that were wrong." Massa stated. "I failed, I didn't live up to my own ethics code. I own this. I take full and complete responsibility for my misbehavior." Messa told Fox News that he groped a male staffer, but not sexually. "Not only did I grope him, but I tickled him until he couldn't breathe and then four guys jumped on top of me." He said. It was his 50th birthday. It was "kill the old guy." Massa later told the Daily News that he didn't touch anyone inappropriately. Massa stated it was inappropriate horseplay. Massa told beck he shouldn't have been such a "hands-on" boss. Massa was explaining about the days when he was in the Navy. He showed Beck some pictures of the kinds of silly things they do in the Navy. "I should have never allowed myself to be as familiar with my staff as I was," claimed Massa. "I never translated my days in the Navy to being a Congressman," said Massa.

Beck later went on to a different subject and was asking for Massa to be specific about any of the bribery techniques that Democrats or White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel used to force him to vote for the healthcare bill. Mass wasn't specific or provided any details about any of the corruption tactics used by Democrats. He mentioned that he believed there needed to be campaign finance reform. He mentioned about the unions and other special interest groups soliciting Congressmen to vote for their causes. Massa then admitted in the interview that he wasn't for the healthcare bill because it didn't support a single-payer system. He wanted more of a government takeover of healthcare. He also made the claim that an elected official can be a Progressive and a fiscal conservative. (Massa claims to be a fiscal conservative). Massa told the viewers to call their Congressmen to vote no on the healthcare bill. Massa also told Beck that he didn't need to call people names such as "socialist" "communist" or other names that incite the American people. He said he was a supporter of the Tea Party but he had a problem with saying that huge deficit was due last year's administration. Beck was very disgusted at how the interview went.

Massa had even stated prior to yesterday that he was showering in the House gym and he and Rahm were nude and Rahm pointed at him and said things to him. Massa has stated Rahm Emanuel was the type of person to "strap his children to the front end of a steam locomotive to get a vote," but he wouldn't go as far as threaten him (Massa). Massa even said he owned Emanuel an apology. He backtracked on the earlier comments he made about Emanuel.

I believe there's a lot more involved in this situation than what meets the eye. The latest claim Massa made was he was resigning to avoid a probe into staff complaints into sexual harassment. Beck said if he (Massa) weren't guilty, why resign instead of fighting the charges? Massa stated he was tired of the fight and tired of the system in Washington and the corruption. However, Massa didn't get specific and didn't reveal anything that could enlighten the American people about the corruption taking place in Washington under the Obama administration and the Democrats. I don't know what to believe. As far as I'm concerned, he could be lying to the American people. He makes statement one day and then contradicts it the next. Is he a sodomite? I don't know. But time reveals everything. I'm certain we'll learn more about the situation in the days to come.
