Mitt Romney cruised to a fourth straight victory in the Washington state caucuses on Saturday night March 3, 2012. Romney is expected to carry Washington state by a double-digit margin. With 43% of the caucuses reporting in Washington, Romney was well ahead with 37%. Ron Paul and Rick Santorum, each with 24% a piece, were battling for second place, while Newt Gingrich was a distant third with 11%. Romney's victory follows his other victories in Michigan, Arizona, and Maine. The next major contest takes place on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 with 10 states competing in Super Tuesday. One of the major swing states participating is the state of Ohio, where 66 delegates are at stake. Ohio is also the state that's determined whom the president will be in the general election. Other states participating Tuesday are Tennessee, Georgia, and Alaska, to name a few. Of the total delegate counts at present, Romney is the frontrunner with 173, followed by Santorum at 87.
