Former Israeli Prime Minister Ariel SharonFormer Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, a former war hero and then later Israeli Defense Minister and Israeli Prime Minister, has died at the age of 85. He was in a coma for eight years. He suffered a stroke not too long after he gave up the Gaza Strip to the Palestinians in August 2005.
