Rep. Pallone: The Tea Party Focus on Deficit Reduction is 'Very Wrong' | CNS News
Rep. Frank Malone (D-NJ)
Rep. Frank Pallone (D-NJ) told students at Rider University that conservatives are wrong to make deficit reduction a priority. Speaking at the university's Rebovich Institute for New Jersey Politics on April 3, Pallone said the "right wing" is wrong. He said the right wing, whom he was referencing the Tea Party, has made deficit reduction the main priority--the main economic priority. He said he didn't think it should be. Pallone says he believes in economic growth and that the only way to get out of the recession---is to have policies in Washington that create growth and therefore create jobs which therefore should eliminate the problems we have with Social Security Trust Funds and Medicare Trust Funds.
The truth is he's very wrong when he says that deficit reduction shouldn't be a top priority. It should be. He says he believes in creating policies that will encourage economic growth. Does he believe in eliminating the present tax code and create a simpler tax code which will encourage businesses to invest more of their money in growing their business and hiring new workers? Where does Pallone stand when it comes to Dodd-Frank and Obamacare? Does he think Obamacare will help or hurt business? The best policy for the government is to stay out of the affairs of the private sector as much as possible and allow the free market to work like it's supposed to.
