Top House Conservative: Romney ‘Most Liberal Republican Nominee in History’ | CNSNews.com
Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH)
Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), who was the chairman on the House Republican Study Committee (which is the caucus of the conservatives in the House) said on Wednesday that the Republican presidential campaign of Mitt Romney was hampered because he was the most liberal Republican nominee in the history of the United States. That is true. However, I'm not going to insinuate that the only reason Mitt Romney lost was because he was a liberal Republican nominee. I believe there were other factors involved such as possible voting fraud, the influx of illegal immigration over the years, and the fact that an increasing number of Americans just don't care. There's a segment of people who believe the government owes them a living. We're seeing more people that feel they are entitled. I believe those are a few of the reasons that Barack Obama won re-election. It's tragic but I do believe it's part of God's judgment on America. We're living in dark days and it's high time to realize that trying to change Washington is virtually impossible, from the vantage point I'm seeing. If it were a possibility, we would need voters all across the nation to jump on board and vote out their incumbents. But we don't have those kind of voters. There aren't too many voters that will vote on principle. Too many vote based on what feels good to them. I don't know all the results yet to render my opinion on why Romney lost the election. I do know the fact given he was a weak candidate who ran a very poor campaign didn't help his cause. Time will reveal the truth.
