This documentary is a continuation of the series I first posted several months ago. This is the second set of installments on the topic of "The Money masters." This series explains the history behind the current depression and the banker's goal of world economic control by a by a small group of private central bankers.

Obama's Uncle — an Illegal — Arrested for Drunken Driving
Obama's Uncle — an Illegal — Arrested for Drunken Driving
Onyango Obama
The drunken driving arrest of the man who is reported to be President Barack Obama's uncle is throwing the White House's new immigration policies into the spotlight. Onyango Obama was arrested on August 24th outside the Chicken Bone Saloon in Framingham, Massachusetts after nearly hitting a patrol as he drove through a stop sign. Tests show his blood alcohol was nearly double the legal limit. He was held in detention as police learned about the deportation order. Mr. Obama is one of the 550,000 deportation absconders who are still living in this country. Rep. Steve King (R-IA), said the Onyango Obama case "raises a troubling list of about the potential for preferential treatment." "It is yet another reason Congress should hold hearings to expose President Obama's executive amnesty program," he said. I guarantee you Congress isn't going to stop President Obama's executive amnesty program. The Republican-controlled House hasn't done anything to stop President Obama's socialist agenda. They won't even defund Obamacare. You're not going to convince me they're going stop President Obama's executive amnesty program. The truth of the matter is the Republicans are also supportive of amnesty. Large multinational corporations and Hispanic interest groups such as La Raza support amnesty and both political parties are supported by these lobbyists. It's all about cheap labor and cheap votes.
Onyango Obama knows he can count on the Obama administration to prevent him from being deported. He and any of President Obama's cronies know they will obtain preferential treatment from this administration. It's preposterous. I project the Republican-controlled House which includes House Speaker John Boehner and House Majority Leader Eric Cantor will not call out Obama for his preferential treatment in protecting President obama's uncle, Onyango Obama. He should be deported immediately. He was caught for drunken driving and as a result his deportation should be automatic. Sadly, that's not what's going to happen. Biden: US Needs More Stimulus
Biden: US Needs More Stimulus
Vice President Joe Biden said Friday that the U.S. economy needed more stimulus to get it moving, in essence saying there's more of a need for government intervening in the economy, shortly before the White House "unveils" its new proposals to boost jobs growth. I have some news for the vice president: The only stimulus the U.S. needs is for the government to stop interfering with the affairs of the private sector for the most part. Keynesian Economics isn't the solution for America's economy. Most of the stimulus money was a waste. The stimulus money didn't go towards rejuvenating small businesses. The stimulus also didn't go towards helping the average American citizen, either. Instead it went to the unions and those cronies of President Obama that supported his 2008 presidential campaign. The purpose of the stimulus was to pay back those that supported President Obama's 2008 campaign. We don't need that kind of stimulus.

Iran Launches Bible-burning Campaign
Iran Launches Bible-burning Campaign
C
I have a question for our political leaders such as President Obama, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, former Defense Secretary Robert Gates, and incoming CIA Direction David Petraeus. It's been reported by Newsmax that the Iranian authorities in northwestern Iran seized 6500 Bibles. This is according to the Iranian Christian news organization Mohabat News. The agency has reported several other recent incidents of Bibles and other Christian literature being seized and sometimes publicly burned. My question to the President, Secretary of State, and all the other political figures in the U.S. I just mentioned is, what is your response to the Iranian authorities seizing Bibles in northwestern Iran? Are you offened by the Iranian government burning the Holy Bible, the same Bible that our great country was founded upon? The framework of our government is built upon the principles of the Bible. As you all may know, America was founded upon Judeo Christian principles. The U.S. Supreme Court back in 1892 said in a Supreme Court ruling that America is "indeed a Christian nation." Does that mean anything to you when an Islamic government in the Middle East such as Iran has such disdain for the Bible? Evidently not.
I can remember back last year how you all pleaded and strongly encouraged Pastor Terry Jones of Gainesville, Florida to not participate in the Koran burning ceremony at his church, which he eventually did sometime this year. Even you, Mr. Petraeus, who has been commander of the forces in Afghanistan, pleaded with Pastor Jones to not go through this Koran burning ceremony. The Koran is a holy, sacred book to the Muslims. It would make it difficult for the troops in Afghanistan to fight if Terry Jones made a public display of burning the Koran. It will have all Muslims enraged and in an uproar in the Middle East. You thought it would be terrible for an unknown pastor to hold a Koran burning ceremony in Florida, which he has the constitutional right to do so. However, aren't you all outraged over the Iranians burning the Holy Bible, which is a sacred book. It is the book which is settled forever in Heaven. Don't you all believe that burning the Bible is offensive to Christians? Evidently not. Of course, I'll have to admit Christians seemingly don't appear to be outraged publicly about the authorities in Iran seizing and burning the Bible like the Muslims in the Middle East about the Koran being burned in a ceremony. I see a double-standard among you politicans. You don't desire to offend Muslims but you don't have a problem with offending Christians. Something's not right about this scenario.

Dottie Rambo: The Gifted Songwriter of the Twentieth Century (Part 6)
Marvelous Grace

Dottie Rambo Speaks of Reba's Healing and her singing "Oh How I Love Jesus"
I Love the Name
One evening after Buck and Dottie Rambo came home from a meeting, their daughter Reba had a very high temperature. I believe her temperature was around 102 degrees. The doctors diagnosed her having spinal meningitis. The doctors weren't expecting her to live. She was also in a coma. If Reba did live, the doctors said, she more than likely would have to be diapered the rest of her life. Things didn't look well for Reba naturally. However, God hadn't spoken yet. Jimmy Russell, Buck and Dottie Rambo's pastor, had only heard about Reba's condition. Dottie mentioned in an interview on a show entitled, "Faith & Fame", that Bro. Rusell was whistling with his hat in his hand. As much as Dottie loved Bro. Russell, said to her mother how could he be whistling when Reba was dying? Bro. Russell said he had spoken to the Great Physician and said that wasn't so. So he prayed a prayer that was approximately five minutes long. As he prayed, as told by Dottie, a fog had lifted the room. People couldn't see from their waist down. Many people in the hospital room were stunned. All of a sudden Reba woke up and her temperature dropped very quickly. As Reba awoke she asked what she was doing in the hospital. She asked why she was in the hospital. She said she was so hungry and asked her mother to cook her some beans. They kept Reba in the hospital overnight. The doctors ran tests on her. The doctors were stunned themselves. God had indeed performed a miracle. Reba was back to normal health. The only effect of her sickness was the high fever burned off all her hair on her head. As a result, she would have to wear wigs until her hair grew back.
On a quick note, I want to mention that the old song Dottie wrote entitled, "There's Nothing That My God Can't Do" was written a few weeks before Reba became sick which was around 1962. God had proven that nothing is too hard for him when he performed a miracle on Reba. Even when Reba was on the jaws of death, God had shown nothing was impossible with him. As of this day, Reba Rambo-McGuire is still alive and is currently 59 years old.
Dottie Rambo Becomes Acquainted With Former Governor Jimmie Davis
It was through that song I just mentioned that led to Dottie meeting the former governor of Louisiana at the time, Jimmie Davis. Jimmie Davis was a non-consecutive two-term governor of Louisiana. He was governor of Louisiana the first time from 1944-48. Then Davis ran for the gubernatorial spot several years later in 1959 and later became governor in 1960. Davis was not only the governor of Louisiana but he was also known for his singing. During his early years he used to sing country music. At that time, country music was a far cry from what it is today. He was famous for his country songs entitled, "You Are My Sunshine" and "Nobody's Darlin'". During his early years from the 1930's until sometime in the 50's he used to sing country music. Then afterwards he sang primarily gospel music. He was known for such gospel ballads as "Suppertime", "One More Valley", etc.
From the time she started singing in the churches at age 12 until the early 1960's, Dottie Rambo wasn't a household name in the gospel music industry at the time. During she and Buck's early years of their marriage, they would travel and sing in churches exclusively. They had their own group which was called the Gospel Echoes. Singers such as Judy Russell, "Little Joe Hatfield" and Shirley Bivins sang with the group during the years the Gospel Echoes was in existence. Dottie did write many songs during this time, but there weren't many that were nationally known at the time. I just mentioned that she wrote "There's Nothing That My God Can't Do" around 1961 or 1962 a few weeks prior to Reba's illness. She said during her early years of songwriting she wrote a lot of immature "gospel" songs. However, as time progressed she wrote songs that withstood the test of time. She mentioned in a filmed Homegoing Tribute that her grandson Israel Anthem McGuire produced, about a song she wrote many decades ago. She said there was a preacher in his late 80's preaching one day. She didn't know the message he preached. He had silver grey hair. As he was mounting the pulpit he made a statement that caught Dottie's attention. He said, "Thank you Jesus for my home on the sunny banks of sweet deliverance where God's clock never strikes one but one eternal day". (I believe that's the correct quote.) She took a pen and a piece of paper and penned the song "On the Sunny Banks." That's an old song that I've heard the Inspirations sing years ago and the late Evangelist Billy Kelly sang that song as well. I'll speak about Dottie's encounter with Governor Jimmie Davis on next Sunday's post.

Is New York Ready for Hurricane Irene?
Since yesterday evening and today, Fox News and many other news outlets have been covering the details of Hurricane Irene, which has already hit North Carolina and Virginia. Now the hurricane is headed up the East Coast to New York and New Jersey. New York hasn't experienced a major hurricane in over 60 years. The subway and transit systems in New York are closed in anticipation of Hurricane Irene possibly tomorrow. Many residents are seeking shelter.
According to Fox News the hurricane pounded the North Carolina and Virginia coasts with fierce winds and heavy rains. The storm so far has registered a Cateogry 1. Six people have been killed thus far, including two children. In North Carolina a man was crushed to death outside his home by a large limb blown down by high winds from the hurricane. Nearly one people are without electricity. Hurricane Irene slammed into Cape Lookout, North Carolina at 7:30 a.m., which packed maximum sustained winds up to 85 mph., according to the National Hurricane Center in Miami.
The hurricane stirred up 7-foot waves, and forecasters warned of storm-surge danger on the coasts of Virginia and Delaware, along the Jersey Shore and in New York Harbor and Long Island Sound. In Maryland, the authorities closed the Chesapeake Bay Saturday evening as Irene gusts reach 72 to 80 mph. For more information about this particular story, clink on the above link from FoxNews.com.

5.8-Magnitude Earthquake Jolts the Eastern Part of the U.S.
5.8-magnitude quake jolts eastern U.S. - Washington Times
On Tuesday, the largest Virginia earthquake in more than a century jolted Washington, D.C. on Tuesday, which prompted widespread building evacuations, snarling traffic and sending emergency crews scrambling after reports of superficial damage and minor injuries. The quake was felt as far away as Maine, Cincinnati, and Atlanta. It rumbled across the D.C. region at 1:51 p.m., bewildering tourists, residents, and workers who spilled onto city streets while offices, schools, and attractions were inspected for structural damage. There were no immediate reports of serious injuries from the earthquake. The U.S. Geological Survey said it was centered around 34 miles north of Richmond, near Mineral, Virginia, which had a magnitude of 5.8.
The district's monuments and museums were evacuated, and Freedom Plaza was jammed with tourists and federal workers who watched as emergency vehicles raced up and down Pennsylvania Avenue between the White House and the U.S. Capitol. The Washington Monument will be closed indefinitely while the National Park Service inspects it for possible. Click on the above link from the Washington Times to read the rest of the story.

Walid Phares: Obama, NATO Must Stop Libya’s Hardline Islamists From Taking Power
Walid Phares: Obama, NATO Must Stop Libya’s Hardline Islamists From Taking Power
In a Newsmax Article today, Middle East expert Walid Phares says that Libya is in danger of becoming another Iran if the Obama administration fails to act quickly to support non-Islamist forces who led the country's revolution. I'll add to that myself that if the Obama administration doesn't support the rebel forces who aren't Islamist, then U.S.'s military involvement in Libya will be a waste of time. I wasn't a supporter of the U.S. taking military action into Libya to start with knowing that the U.S. is no longer in the business of fighting wars to win. Another problem I have with the U.S. going into this military operation is the fact I couldn't see the purpose for the U.S. involving itself in this war. There were no national interests at stake for the U.S. Another problem that I had with the U.S. involvement with Libya is not only did Congress not declare war on Libya, but there was no Congressional approval in any form to allow Obama's authorizing a military strike on Libya. The 60 days allotted by the War Powers Act has expired and Congress has not held President Obama accountable for his actions. The Constitution says that if we're going to wage a war against another country, we need a Congressional declaration of war.
Since I've concluded my introductory remarks concerning the U.S.'s entry into the Libyan conflict, it's important to recognize since it appears that the Moammar Gadhafi regime appears to be ending, it's important that the U.S. makes sure that the hard-line Islamist forces don't take power in Libya. If they do take over, there will be Islamic revolution in Libya like it was in Iran 32 years ago. I do understand that Gadhafi was a thug just like Hosni Mubarak was in Egypt as well as Bashar-al-Assad is in Syria. I know politicians such as Senators John McCain and Lindsey Graham things it's important to overthrow these dictatorial regimes. Consequently there's a downside to that. Anyone that's studied Islam knows that Islam isn't a peaceful religion in the Middle East. There are those in the media that try to portray the image that Islam is a peaceful religion, but nothing could be farther from the truth. The radical Muslims have an agenda to establish a Muslim Caliphate. If radical Islamists take control in Libya and Syria, then we will have the makings of an Islamic Caliphate in the Middle East. That will be nothing but a bloodbath in the Middle East. The Shah of Iran was a dictator, but it was a Sunday school picnic compared to the Ayatollah Khomeini regime that took control of Iran in 1979. The radical Islamists believe in killing the infidel. Those who don't subscribe to Islam, they are considered the enemies to Islamists. They have the "duty" to kill those who don't conform to Islam. They have the warped view that they are to engage in terrorist acts to kill the infidel.
The overthrow of the Moammar Gadhafi regime could be a terrible thing if radical Islamists take control of the Libyan government. Since the Obama administration made the decision to strike Libya, then the Obama administration needs to finish the job and make sure that whoever succeeds Gadhafi won't be hardline Islamic terrorists. Otherwise, the situation in Libya will go from bad to worse. The situation will become more perilous than what it currently is if the radical Islamists take control.

Michelle Bachmann Promises to Bring Back $2 Gas if Elected President
Bachmann: I'll Bring Back $2 Gas
According to "Business Inside Politix", Congresswoman Michelle Bachmann (R-MN) told the crowd in South Carolina on Tuesday that if elected president, she'll bring gasoline prices come down below to $2 a gallon. She promises that will happen. She didn't speculate how she would make that happen as president. Bachmann noted that when Barack Obama first became president, gasoline prices were $1.79 a gallon. She said, "Look what it is today."
I view this as just more campaign rhetoric from Michelle Bachmann. I think she would be better off starting a cheerleading clinic teaching teenage girls how to cheer before a crowd than run for president. I know that sounds sarcastic but she hasn't impressed me in her run for the presidency. I do agree with the stands she supposedly takes. I even agree with her voting record. However, I haven't seen her mount an effort in the House of Representatives to derail the Obama agenda. I would be much more impressed with Ms. Bachmann if she would utilize her efforts in derailing President Obama's socialist agenda as a Congesswoman than campaigning for president and making what I consider to be empty promises. How am I to believe she would repeal Obamacare if she were president? She won't mount an effort to defund it in the House. The Republicans are in the majority in the House. They could defund it. But they refuse to do so. If Michelle Bachmann isn't trying to derail President Obama's agenda as a House member, I'm not certain she'll motivate Congress to roll back the socialist agenda that's been passed by the Democratic Congress in the last few years. Even if both Houses turned Republican and Ms. Bachmann would become president, I don't feel confident they will repeal Obamacare. I've seen too much of this junk in the past. It's easy to make promises, but fulfilling them are a totally different story.
I know some of the statements I made about Congresswoman Bachmann won't set well with some people, but we need a candidate that's serious about a competitive run for the presidency. We don't need candidates that give out chants before a crowd such as "BARACK OBAMA WILL BE A ONE TERM PRESIDENT." That's not going to defeat President Obama. Ms. Bachmann needs to prove she's a formidable, serious candidate that will fight to defend the Constitution. That's something she should've already done in the House. Instead, we're hearing more of the same rhetoric we've heard in past campaigns. Michelle Bachmann is nothing more than a cheerleader to me. We don't need cheerleaders running for president.

Dottie Rambo: The Gifted Songwriter of the Twentieth Century (Part 5)
The Holy Hills of Heaven Call Me
There's Nothing That My God Can't Do (This Song was originally released back in the early '60's when the group was named the Gospel Echoes. Shirley Bivins sings in this group)
Too Much to Gain to Lose
Don't Let Me Walk Too Far From Calvary
When Buck and Dottie Rambo got married in 1950, life wasn't very easy for the couple financially starting out. Even though Buck and Dottie Rambo traveled and sang in churches throughout the evenings, they had to work day jobs to support their lifestyle. Buck was a butcher in a store and Dottie worked at a hosiery mill. I believe at one time he helped manage a store as well. Dottie said in her interview with Joanne Thompson that Buck never made more than $40 dollars a week. They were very poor in the early days. They didn't make huge dollars off of royalties in the early days. They didn't even record any albums until the early 1960's. They were basically robbing Peter to pay Paul in the early days of their singing ministry, according to Larry Ferguson, Dottie's future manager. Reba said in an interview that they would travel to churches at night to sing. She said if the church they would be singing at was within driving distance so they could come back in time to work the next day, they would go. They weren't concerned about coming home in time to sleep. They just wanted to make sure they could arrive home in time to work the next day. To them it was a joy and a privilege to travel and sing in churches. Reba said the opportunity to sing in churches was a privilege to them. They weren't even thinking about embarking upon a worldwide career at the time. It was just a blessing to sing songs about Jesus to the Rambos.
In 1952, Reba Faye Rambo was born. She was the only daughter of buck and Dottie Rambo. They desired to have more children, but complications in childbearing prevented Dottie from being able to bear more children. There has been speculation that Reba started singing with the family when she was three years old. From trying to piece things together, it is true that Reba would travel with her family from time to time as a young child. However, she wasn't a regular singer with the group. Reba didn't starting singing with the family full time until 1964 which I will mention more about later.
Reba mentioned that her home was a constant music jam session growing up. She said her mother would compose songs about anything. There would be guitars and notebook paper everywhere in the house. She said her mother would even write songs about making biscuits. Dottie was a very great cook. She would compile recipes together in a cookbook years later. Music was life to them, which was a result of the gift that God had given Dottie. With the Rambos being poor and living in a run-down trailer, they didn't have much money to purchase many things. I remember hearing Dottie saying in "The Dottie Rambo Story" on the Inspiration Network that she would go to a shop which would sell the most expensive dress. She would take a pen and a pad and would draw a picture of the most expensive dress in that shop. She would then go to the Dollar Store or some store of that fashion and would purchase the cheapest material to make Reba a nice dress. Dottie knew how to improvise and find a way to make nice dresses out of cheap material. She would dress Reba in those dresses and she would look like a doll, according to Dottie. Reba was also a good student in school. When Reba joined the group her mother and father formed in 1964, her teachers would have to give her assignments to her ahead of schedule as she would be traveling on the road extensively when she was a teenager.
Even though I haven't begun giving the background behind some of Dottie's most prolific songs, I'm going to give a background behind one of the children's songs Dottie had written when Reba was little. It was called "Germs." When Reba was approximately three years old, she had an imaginery dog named Germs and a playmate named Sally. One day Reba was eating cookies and she got crumbs all over the couch. The phone rang and company was coming. They were just around the street. So Dottie told Reba to help her vacuum the couch. Reba as a little child said that she couldn't because Sally and Germs would be sucked up into that vacuum cleaner. Due to the fact that Dottie had no time to waste, she went ahead and took the vaccum cleaner to suck up the crumbs. "Sally and Germs" were sucked up into the vacuum. Reba cried and said, "You sucked up Sally and Germs into that vacuum cleaner." She held her breath and fainted. So Dottie took out the bag and emptied the dirt and Sally and Germs along with it. Out of that experience Dottie penned the song, "Germs", which I'll post in part 6 next week. That song would later be featured in a children's album recorded by the Rambos in the 70's entitled, "Down by the Creekbank." As we progress deeper into Dottie's singing ministry, I'll devote more time covering the background behind some of Dottie's greatest songs.
When Buck and Dottie married, he wasn't singing with her at the time. Dottie later taught Buck to play the guitar and sing. I believe it was a few years after they married the started the singing group entitled, "Gospel Echoes." The trio started out with Buck, Dottie, and Judy Russell. I don't know for sure but I think Judy might've been the daughter of Buck and Dottie's pastor, Bro. Jimmy Russell, but I'm not for sure. In later years the lineup would include, "Little Joe Hatfield," Shirley Bivins, and Pat "Jones" Green to name a few. They would travel all over the country. Some of the states in which they traveled included Texas and Louisiana. I know there are many others but those are the states I know where they traveled. Next week I'm going to begin the post discussing Reba's bout with spinal meningitis

Teen charged with planning to blow up Tampa school
Teen charged with planning to blow up Tampa school
It's a tragedy in the day we live in. Public schools today are no longer safe havens in which children can come to school and receive an education to prepare them for life. Today our public schools have gone wild with juvenile delinquents. Many students are carrying guns and knives to schools. Our public school system has becoming a war zone. We can all remember the incidents that took place in Heath High School in Paduch, Kentucky in 1997 and Columbine High School in Littleton, Colorado in 1999, to name a few. It's tragic. What has happened? Many of the problems are due to the breakdown of the home. There used to be a time when parents would support the teachers if their children had to be disciplined in the classroom. If a student was disciplined in the classroom that day, their parents would take the rod to their backside when they arrived home. If the parents heard their children were misbehaving in the classroom, they didn't question or blame the teacher. They automatically assumed their children were the guilty culprits and rightly so. If the student had the rod applied to their seat of learning in school, it was repeated at the house. That stopped a lot of foolishness in the classroom. Today is a different story altogether. Many parents today will blame the teacher if their children are corrected in school today. They don't support the teachers like they once did. That's why juvenile delinquency is running rampant today. Also, instead of the teachers educating the students like they're supposed to, they have to play the role of teacher combined with mother and father. That can't be done. Teachers can't do what parents refuse to do. There was a time when parents were more involved in their children's education than they are now. The lack of parental involvement in their children's education has had a negative effect on their children's learning in the public school system.
Proverbs 22:15 says, "Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child, but the rod of correction will drive it far from him." In order to successfully educate a child, one of the tools that must be used is the rod of correction. If children aren't chastened for their unruly behavior, then they won't learn in school and as a result, it will have an adverse impact upon their future. We need to go back to the old-time way of old-fashioned discipline once again.
Click on the above link entitled, "Teen charged with planning to blow up Tampa school." I'm not going to expound upon the article, but this tells you the problems that are facing today's youth. Education begins in the home. If parents don't properly discipline their children at home, then it will make it difficult if not impossible for teachers to properly educate their students. One unruly student can disrupt the classroom. That unruly students not only affect themselves, but they negatively affect their peers as well. As thankful as I am for technology and nice facilities, they won't replace the role of the home in a child's life. Parental involvement will play a much greater role in determining if their children will be successfully educated than all the money that's being spent in the public school systems across America today.

The New American Century
This is a must see film. This film provides solid evidence behind the Afghanistan and Iraq Wars, whose unfolding is described in detail in a project entitled, "Project for the New American Century," which was published in 2010. This project is the backdrop behind the "war on terrorism" that took place following the 9/11 attacks nearly 10 years ago.

Overview of America/Education is the Key (Larry McDonald)
I have two great YouTube videos I'm going to post today. The first video I saw on Jim Sumpter's website which is from http://www.jimsumptershow.com/. It's a great video. It speaks about the greatness of America. It's a moving tribute of America and what makes America great. It's a must see video. This video was produced by the John Birch Society. Regardless what one might think of the John Birch Society, the information presented in this video are true and we would be wise to pay attention to and heed what's said in these video if we hope to turn this great nation around. The only way we can do so is to be informed on the issues and involve ourselves in the political process. We need to exercise the God-given responsibility to vote. Next year we as the electorate need to vote out the vast majority of incumbents in both Houses of Congress which are up for re-election next year. We also need to elect a new president as well.
Overview of America
This second video is from former Democratic Georgia Congressman Larry McDonald. He definitely was a United States patriot. I believe he loved this country and as a result, he lost his life on September 1, 1983 when the airliner he boarded was shot down by Soviet fighters, under the command of General Anatoly Kornukov. McDonald was a former member of the John Birch Society. He became the second president of the John Birch Society before he was killed Korean Air Flight 007. I hope you enjoy both videos.

Miss Cheerleader Michelle Bachmann Wishes Elvis Presley a Happy Birthday on August 16th
Bachmann Wishes Elvis Happy Birthday on Death Day MyFoxMemphis Fox 13 News
I had to post this one. This is hilarious. Miss Cheerleader Michelle Bachmann was campaigning in Spartanburg, South Carolina wishing Elvis Presley a happy birthday 34 years to the day he died of a drug overdose. It was hilarious. Someone in the crowd shouted out, "He died today." She ignored what was said and launched into her speech. Cheerleader Michelle knows people such as myself needs to be humored so she decided to be humorous and wish the King of rock 'n' roll a happy birthday on the day of his death. Presley died on August 16, 1977. Elvis Presley's birthday was on January 8. Presley was born on January 8, 1935. He died when he was 42. Bachmann later told reporters that the day marked Elvis' death, not his birth.
She played the Elvis tune "Promised Land" at a local restaurant and told the crowd of 300 that she wanted to wish Elvis a happy birthday. We have an interesting mix of candidates running for president and one of them is a cheerleader who knows how to lead an audience into chants. We are in the midst of economic meltdown and all kinds of turmoil in America and we have a cheerleader giving out chants such as "BARACK OBAMA WILL BE A ONE TERM PRESIDENT!" Miss Bachmann knows how to humor people such as myself. She knows there are people who are depressed that need somebody to cheer them up and give them something to laugh about. I'm always looking for a good laugh.

The Private Sector Fuels the Economy, not the Government
President Obama, on bus tour, declares he has a jobs plan - latimes.com
President Barack Obama has been out touring on the bus this week traveling through the Midwest. Yesterday he was in Iowa stating that he would send a jobs package to Congress next month. He's asking lawmakers to pass it, and he will campaign against them if they refuse to pass it. He's referring to the Republicans who control the House. He was in a town hall style meeting in Iowa on Monday night. He's facing criticism because of the slumping economy and job numbers aren't improving much, if any.
It's always typical for the President of the United States to try to convince people they have the ability to create jobs and turn the economy around. I've seen Democrat and Republican presidents alike make promises to create jobs. I can recall President Clinton campaigning on the economy in 1992 and following his election that fall, he held a jobs summit. However, the source of job growth doesn't stem through the government. Jobs must be created through the private sector. Job creation must revolve around the laws of supply and demand. In order for an employer to make a decision to hire new employees, there must be a need for new employees. There must be an increase in demand to supply "x" amount of products which requires labor. If new labor is added, it's because work orders have increased and as a result, there's a need to hire new employees. The free market determines if and when employees need to be added to the work force. It's not the place of government to determine when new employees need to be added to the payroll. The free market in the private sector determines that. That's if there's a free market and it's not being manipulated by the federal government or monopolies are taking place. The problem is our government is trying to control the factors of production. That is nothing more than Soviet style planned economy.
The "jobs" that goverment creates requires taxing the average citizen in order to fund those particular government jobs. Even though there is a need for certain government positions, you can't have an imbalance of government vs. private sector jobs. Otherwise, the government won't be funded properly and there will be a deficit. The government doesn't create wealth. Wealth is created in the private sector. It's through the taxable income from private sector jobs that fund the federal government. There used to be a time when tariffs on imported goods funded the federal government. Consequently, we have so-called free traders in our government today and, as a result, we don't use tariffs like we once did to help fund the government.
President Obama, Congress, and the governors of states may convince the American people they can create jobs. They can't. Only the private sector can truly create jobs. If President Obama or any other president tries to make you think they can create jobs in the private sector, they're lying. However, they can help the private sector by not interfering with the functions of the free market. If the government will allow businesses for the most part to operate the way they see fit, then the private sector will grow once again and jobs will be created. It's the government that's stifling job growth. The government is stifling job growth primarily through burdensome government regulations. Many of the government's regulations upon business make it difficult for businesses to operate. Some of the regulations that government imposes upon business requires businesses to spend money out of their own pockets that they can't afford. Government also hands down mandates to the private sector which are unfunded. That has to stop. Corporate taxes also weigh down businesses, but not like the numerous regulations that government imposes upon business. It's these regulations and unfunded mandates which restrict the size and scope of small and medium-sized businesses across America today.
If President Obama or Congress "desire" to help the economy, the way they can do so is (1) reduce the corporate tax rate or eliminate it all together, (2) end all the regulations which stifle job growth, (3) renege upon the free trade agreements such as NAFTA and CAFTA which have resulted in millions of America's manufacturing jobs to go overseas. I'm not opposed to free trade, but it must be fair trade. There must be a level playing field. These so-called free trade agreements haven't provided a level playing field in America. These three things that I just mentioned will do more to improve the economy than all the government jobs that can be created. The sad truth is President Obama and Congress are doing nothing but destroying capitalism. What we have been seeing in the last few years is the intended direction that President Obama desires for America's economy.
