In a Newsmax article today, former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney upheld his business credentials. He states that his business experience sets him apart from all the GOP candidates, with the possible exception of former Godfather's Pizza CEO Herman Cain. Romney emphasizes his 25 years in working the private sector. When asked about the job growth in Texas, Romney claims that Texas Governor Rick Perry has not held a private sector job as an adult. Romney, who's considered the GOP front runner in national polls, emphasizes how important it is that the next presidential candidate have an essential understanding of how the economy works and that it's important for the occupant in the White House to not only know how the private sector works but has worked in the private sector. I happen to agree that the occupant in the White House needs to understand the private sector and how the economy works. That's the problem with President Barack Obama. We definitely need a president that knows how to run a business.
One thing I don't dispute when it comes to Mitt Romney is the fact that he has had extensive business experience in the private sector. He brings in a wealth of business experience when it comes to running for office. The question I have to ask for Romney is this: Are you serious about winning the presidency? Are you running for the presidency for the purposes of winning or are you running for the presidency for the money and to be a "filler" opponent. Are you a legitimate opponent to President Obama or are you just playing your role to give the appearance of being the Republican opposition when in reality you're part of this conspiracy to ensure Obama's re-election? If you're a serious opponent, then you need to prove that you are. You didn't prove you were a serious candidate when the debt ceiling debate was taking place. You stood on the sidelines when this so-called debate was taking place. You could've taken the role in enlightening President Obama and even the American public about how the economy works. You should've emphasized the importance of reining in spending and balancing a budget. You had to do that when you ran Bain Capital. You know about business investments. The American public could use some education on the private sector and business. You aren't doing that. You give me the impression you're just a puppet of the forces of Nimrod playing your role in running for president. If you are nothing but phony opposition in running for president, then please step down. We don't need so-called opposition. We need you to stand up and explain how the private sector operates. You need to explain the importance of a business following a budget just like the government needs to follow a budget. You have the capacity to do so but you refuse to.
One of Mitt Romney's problems is he flip-flops. Romney says that Obamacare is bad for the country, but so was Romneycare in Massachusetts. You know that passing a state-run healthcare bill wasn't wise. You know that as a businessman. How am I to believe you would push to repeal Obamacare when you passed an expensive healthcare bill such as Romneycare? Also, you flip-flop on abortion. You've stated you were pro-choice when you ran against Ted Kennedy for his Senate seat in 1994. Now you claim to be pro-life. Where do you stand on abortion? Where do you stand on homosexual marriage? How about social issues? You've proven yourself untrustworthy. Do you classify yourself as a conservative? You tried to classify yourself as to the left of Ted Kennedy in 1994 challenging Kennedy for his Senate seat. What are you?
Mitt Romney is an unreliable candidate. If Mitt Romney was genuine he would be nailing Obama on the burdensome regulations his administration has place on business. He would be saying that this debt ceiling deal is nothing but a scam. I don't care how much you pride yourself on your business experience. If you won't take a stand and run a competitive race for the presidency next year, then you need to step down. The Republican field already has too many RINO's as it is. We don't need you as a RINO.
