President Donald Trump kept one of his campaign promises yesterday when he made the formal announcement Wednesday in a televised address that the U.S. officially recognizes the city of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and will begin moving its embassy there. He stated it's a recognition of reality and that it's the right thing to do. He said the U.S. would finally move the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem according to the Jerusalem Embassy Act of 1995 and would make it a monument of peace.
