Steven Bannon: Electing Moore Isn't Politics, Its War
After delivering a high-energy on Tuesday to support Alabama Republican Senate candidate Roy Moore, the Daily Beast reported on Thursday that former White House Chief Strategist Stephen K. Bannon will be accompanying Moore in the final days leading up to the December 12 special election. Bannon believes Moore's victory is imminent if the GOP is to be transformed into a populist-nationalist party and he plans on backing like-minded candidates against Establishment Republican candidates in future primary and general elections. President Trump backed Moore via Tweet last Monday morning. Bannon has extolled Moore as the kind of populist and nationalist figure he desires to see represented in both houses of Congress. On Tuesday Bannon spoke alongside Moore at a rally in Southern Alabama. He made the fight against the GOP Establishment, going full blast against Mitt Romney and chastising Romney for doing his "Mormon religious service," rather than fight in Vietnam. Bannon stated that Romney hid behind his religion. "Don't tell me about your honor and integrity," stated Bannon. Roy Moore, however, did service in Vietnam.
