Rep. Michelle Bachmann (R-MN)Represenative Michelle Bachmann stated that a number of "high profile" Senators have stated that they would be willing to shut down the government over the funding of the president's healthcare plan, which is an effort being led by Senator Mike Lee (R-UT). Bachmann told CNS News that she was encouraged by a meeting with the Tea Party Caucus on Tuesday evening. She said she feared the GOP leadership in the House doesn't have the "guts" to defund Obamacare. That's been obvious for the last few years? The question I have to ask Mrs. Bachmann is why she hasn't been shouting on the housetops to oust John Boehner as Speaker before this Congressional session began in January? Why didn't she a few years ago organize a group of Republicans to defund Obamacare in the House. I believe the latest in talks about defunding Obamacare is nothing more than useless talk. They aren't going to defund Obamacare. They are all playing this little game together. The GOP knows that Obamacare isn't going to be repealed by Congress nor the president unless the GOP controls the Senate and the White House. Even then it would be questionable if a GOP Congress would defund Obamacare. You can't trust anyone in both the House and the Senate. That's what their track record says. If I'm wrong then they need to prove me wrong and actually defund it instead of being deceitful and giving the pretense you're going to defund Obamacare.
