Senators say bombings should spark immigration reform, not halt process | Fox News
Senators John McCain (R-AZ) and Charles Schumer (D-NY)
The Boston-bombings and the foreign-born suspects have become part of the Capitol Hill debates to overhaul immigration law. I tell you what they should do. They should not allow any more foreigners to come to America's soil given the fact there are terrorists that cross our borders. Secondly, they don't need to overhaul our current immigration laws. The problem is our elected elite have refuse to enforce federal laws in regards to allowing illegals to cross our borders. We need to seal our borders and the federal government needs to comply with the laws already on the books in dealing with illegal immigrants. It's that simple. The truth is both Congress and the president refuse to comply with the federal immigration laws. That's why we have foreign terrorists on U.S. soil. We can't allow America's borders to be open to anyone coming to our country. It's a national security risk. Also, any foreigner in America that has ties to any Islamic terrorist group needs to be deported. We don't need jihadists hiding in the shadows plotting America's next attack. That will always continually happen when we don't close America's porous borders.
Another point I would like to make is any politician who supports amnesty for illegal aliens should be voted out in the next election cycle--regardless of party affiliation. Both Democrats and Republicans, including Florida Senator Marco Rubio, are coming together to pass amnesty, which would give citizenship to those who are here illegally that have lived in America for some time. Any immigrant who desires to become a U.S. citizenship should get in line to apply for U.S. citizenship. That's the way it should be. If they can't follow the rule of law to apply for U.S. citizenship then we don't need them here in America as citizens. We shouldn't grant a group of illegals a right to citizenship if they don't go through the proper channels to become U.S. citizens. Enough said.
