It's been 45 years since that ignominious Roe vs. Wade decision.  Abortion has definitely been one of the greatest tragedies in our nation since abortion was legalized nationwide on January 22, 1973.  Supreme Court Justice Harry Blackmun wrote that decision that year.  Millions of unborrn children have unmercifully slaughtered as the result of that dreadful law.  President Trump was addressing the issue via satellite from the Rose Garden stating that every life is sacred, every life is a precious gift from God.  I'm very thankful we have a president that's been pro-life so far in his administration and I hope it remains that way.  Click on the link from the Breitbart article to read what he said in his address.  I have a YouTube clip from Pat Boone recorded probably in 1983.  It's very heart-touching.  He speaks of the importance of the value of a young child's life.  This video clip will move you emotionally.

Can American Turn Back to God?

Many times over the course of the years I've heard many preachers speak of the need for America to turn back to God.  America needs to return to its founding roots.   Most of the time when we hear that we tend to think of the political process because that's what some of our evangelical leaders over 40+ years ago conditioned us to believe.  The late Jerry Falwell started "I love America" rallies in 1976 and in 1979 started the organization called, "The Moral Majority."  Years later that was followed by another organization founded by Ralph Reed and Pat Robertson called, "The Christian Coalition."  Both of those organizations were founded for the purpose to encourage Christians to become involved in the political process.  It also encouraged Christian candidates to run for political office and run on a platform which espouses Christian principles and honor God.  The goal was to elect Christians in high office that were opposed to abortion, the gay rights movement, the ERA, supported the traditional family unit, support prayer and Bible reading in the public school setting.  The Moral Majority played a part in the election of President Ronald Reagan in 1980.  The Christian Coalition sent out scorecards to the average American to show the voting record of all our representatives in the House and the U.S. Senate.  It was to show where each of our elected officials stood on the issues of the day and it gave us an idea on whether or not to re-elect then come election day or to vote then out of office.  Both of those organizations operated for a number of years.  Moving forward to today, when we take a look at the sad state of affairs in the political arena today, it's obvious that both of these organizations haven't solved the problems in the political arena.  Politics has become even more crooked today.  It's become unfathomable the level that politics has sunk to.  Our politicians make campaign promises to the American people that they know they won't keep.  They lie by design.  We have politicians that cater to the LGBT crowd and place their stamp of approval on same-sex marriage and the homosexual lifestyle.  After all the effort that was placed by evangelical Christians to elect candidates that were Christian, both the Christian Coalition and the Moral Majority were abysmal failures in that aspect.  The Christian coalition did some good by providing Congressional scorecards so the voters could see how their elected officials voted on issues.  That part was good. 

Before I proceed further, I will point out that one of the failures of both organizations.  Neither organization was unable to elect very many Christians to office.  And of those candidates who claimed to be Christian that were elected to office, they just blended in with all the other politicians in Washington.  They didn't stand out and make waves.  They didn't have the wherewithal to stand like they needed to challenge our political system.  Our political system are controlled by wealthy globalist elites.  They control both our politicians and the news media.  They are a very powerful force.  That's why the political arena is always the same regardless which party is elected. 

When you read the Bible, I Peter 4:17 clearly states that judgment must first begin at the House of God.  So when it comes to dissecting the problem America has, it's spiritual.  Yes, we have economic, social, moral, and political problems.  However, the root cause is spiritual.  In today's society the church isn't the "salt" and "light" that God commands for it to be in the world.  We tend to blame the world for the problems of our society.  But the problem lies with God's people--not President Trump nor our elected elite in the nation's capitol, nor our politicians in state government.  It's God's people.  God's people are to set the example and are to be the moral compass of our nation.  When we take a look at numerous churches today, they are cold, indifferent, carnal, and worldly.  The church has become too worldly.  You can hardly distinguish the world from the church.  There's more to a Biblical church than adding a "little Jesus" to the sermon or lyrics.  The church must be Christ-centered and Spirit-led.  Christians are to be uniquely and distinctly different.  I'm going to take a little time to elaborate on that point.

What do you mean when you say Christians are to be uniquely and distinctly different?  That's a good question.  If you were to ask some people in fundamentalist quarters whether they be Baptist or Pentecostal or holiness, they think of Godliness and being distinctly different as women wearing dresses to the ground, Christians not listening to rock or country music or owning a television, men having their hair short and cut around the ears, etc.  Other standards that some fundamentalists adhere to is neither men or women don't wear shorts, or Christians shouldn't involve themselves in worldly amusements.  I do understand that man looks on the outward appearance and that the outward is a reflection of the heart.  However, there are numerous fundamentalists that possess standards from on state to another and they're no more right with God than a drunkard.  The Pharisees during Jesus' time appeared righteous outward but inwardly they were dead men's bones.  You can be totally separated from the world from an outward perspective but still not right with God.  Isaiah 64:6 says that man's righteousness is as filthy rags.  No Christian that's been saved by the blood of Jesus can boast of himself or herself.  It's all a work of grace.  I believe many of the standards that many in fundamentalist circles try to live by is just as much of a religious ritual as the standards that Muslims and Catholics practice in their religious rituals.  There are many who live clean on the outside and they have no purpose doing what they do.  It's just a religious ritual to them.  That's not what righteousness is about. 

When I say Christians should be uniquely and distinctly different, I'm referring to character conduct, work ethic, etc.  Salvation is a work of God.  The Bible says that righteousness exalteth a nation (Proverbs 14:34).  Righteousness isn't something man possesses within himself.  It comes from God.  You can't be righteous in and of yourself.  It only comes as a result of the new birth.  It's a work of God. 

Can America turn back to God?  Yes, but only through God's people humbling themselves and repenting from their wicked ways.  It can happen only through a revival amongst God's people (Psalms 85:6).  It's an inward work that must take place if God's people are to be right with Him.  America can only see revival if God's people wake up and repent and walk in the old paths of righteousness.  That's the only way.  It's won't through the political process.  We've tried that before and it failed.  Does that mean Christians shouldn't be involved in the political process?  No.  Christians should be very involved in the political process voting for candidates that will support God, Country, and the Constitution as their platform, which I mentioned several years back.  But relying on the political process isn't going to turn our nation around because America's problem is spiritual.  The church isn't right with God and as a result, the world's become more and more worldly and wicked as the day goes by.  If the church is worldly and carnal, then imagine what shape the world will be in when the "salt" has lost its savor and the "light" is hardly shining.  God's people are the problem and Christians need to be re-awakened to the spiritual mess our country's in.  But we got to follow II Chronicles 7:14 if we want to see God move in a mighty way in our country.  That's the only way America can turn back to God.

According to a USA Today/Suffolk University Poll, Most Americans say that n the wake of last month's U.S. Supreme Court decision on Obamacare and gay Marriage, it's time for opponents to end their efforts to repeal Obamacare and to block same sex marriages.   That's a very disturbing poll.  Gay marriage is a perversion of marriage that the Bible speaks of which is a marriage only between a man and a woman.  There's no other way around it.  We live in sad times in this country.  Click on USA Today to read the story.

San Francisco Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone of San Francisco responded to the comments that House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi made concerning whether or not a 20 week-old "fetus" is a human being.  Pelosi wouldn't answer whether or not a 20-week old baby is a human being.  The Archbishop stated that life begins at conception and no Catholic can dissent in good conscience on the church teaching regarding abortion.   I agree with that but abortion is a life issue.  It's a biblical issue in which God says that the unborn is a human being.  It's much more than a Catholic church issue.  What's important is what God's word says.  That's what counts.  It's a human life issue.  No doctor has a right to snuff out an unborn child from the mother's womb.  In response to what House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi says, it goes to show how corrupting an influence politics is regardless of what kind of church they attend.  When you're in the realm of politics, Biblical truth and common sense stays outside the door.  It's all about being politically correct in the political arena.

Democrats are moving for the first time to include the party platform which endorses same-sex marriage or homosexual marriage.  This past year President Barack Obama became the first sitting president to voice support over same-sex marriage.  A few days before the president gave his endorsement of same-sex marriage, vice-president Joe Biden did the same thing. 

The Democratic National Convention will be held in Charlotte, North Carolina in early September, following the Republican National Convention.  Sources told Fox News that the Democrats' platform drafting committee voted unamimously to include the language backing same-sex marriage over the weekend at a meeting in Minneapolis. 

This doesn't surprise me whatsoever.  The Democratic Party, at least on the national level, is the party of the perverts, illegal aliens, the deviants, welfare recipients, and the list continues.  It's a gross shame and a radical departure from what the Democratic Party once was.  I'm not saying the Democratic Party was ever perfect, but the Democrats who are in charge today are nothing but socialists, communists, and perverts nationally.  It's tragic.  However, conservative voters should know what to expect from the Democratic Party.  They make their stance obvious and they're proud of it.  What bothers me are the so-called Republicans such as House Speaker John Boehner, House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, and Michelle Bachmann.  They parade themselves as constitutional conservatives but they won't fight for the values that voters have sent them to Washington for.  Instead, they cave into President Obama and his agenda. 

No voter that has his/her right mind needs to vote for President Obama this fall.  The gay agenda is nothing but perversion and runs contrary to God, the Bible, and society.  It's nothing but a slap on the traditional family unit.  To read the full story, click on the above link from FoxNews.com.

We Get the Government We Deserve (Part 3 Continued)

We get the government we deserve not so much because of our elected elite, but the very fact that for generations upon generations millions of Americans have continually re-elected incumbent politicians who shouldn't have been re-elected.  We've voted for those not based on their moral character nor for those who will uphold the Constitution, but for those that promise us benefits.  The reason why some Americans in certain states such as Illinois, California, New York, etc. keep re-electing the same old ilk is because they appeal to those groups of voters by promising them the government will take care of them.  The government will provide you healthcare, will help finance your mortgages, will pay for your college education, will provide you welfare benefits, etc.  I will acknowledge that the mainstream voters in the South and the Midwest vote differently for the most part than voters in the northeastern states and California.  They tend to be more conservative in their voting.  That's why we saw them go red in 2010 because they were tired of the corruption from incumbent politicians (mostly Democrats).  They were tired of excessive government spending and government intruding into our daily lives.  I will admit part of the problem with the blue states such as the northeastern states and California is they have been infiltrated with illegal immigrants so that's played a role with the change in voting patterns. 

We've raised a generation of Americans that's apathetic, lazy, indifferent to current events and what's happening in government, and are not raised in a solid Bible-believing church.  More Americans are interested in watching American Idol and NFL football than they are interested in the House of God and what's happening in our communities across America.  We are an entertained crazed generation.  John Adams once said that our Constitution was only for a moral and religious people.  It is wholly inadequate for any other.  America has strayed far from it's founding principles.  America was settled by a group of people who loved God and wanted the freedom to worship God as they saw fit.  They didn't come to America looking for a handout or for the government to take care of them from cradle to grave.  They believed if they didn't provide for their own living, then they would starve. We no longer possess the independence we once did.  More and more Americans are relying on government for more and more services in their lives today.  Don't we realize that if government has the power to give you something they have the power to take it away?  As a result of the government intruding in more areas of our lives, we're become more and more enslaved to the government. 

We as Americans need to stop looking to Washington to solve our problems.  Our answer is not in Washington.  It's in the Lord.  America has come too far down the road from a moral, spiritual, and economic standpoint to expect our politicians to rescue us.  The transforming of America that President Obama spoke of when he ran for president in 2008 is almost complete.  We're close to becoming a fascist nation.  I guarantee you the evidence will be there when all of the provisions of Obamacare are implemented in 2014, for example.  No politician is going to deliver America from it's moral, social, political, economic, and spiritual troubles.  Our only answer is in Jesus Christ.  I want to quote Psalms 121:1 in closing.  "I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help."

Back in 2010 I wrote a number of posts centering on the theme "We get the government we deserve."  I was expounding upon the different reasons why I believe we Americans as a whole get the government we deserve.  Today I want to center your attention to the theme, The Mindset of America.  I know some people are going to say, "It doesn't make any difference who you vote for, nothing ever changes."  That's the truth.  I know it's frustrating because regardless who wins the elections, our politicians are still taking this country down the road to destruction--Democrat or Republican.  I want to make a statement here.  We need to stop looking to Washington to solve our problems.  We need to stop thinking that the Democrats or the Republicans are going to save this country.  They aren't going to do the right thing.  Both political parties are bought and co-opted by the same interest groups.  The forces of Nimrod control our elected elite.  They're the ones that control the gold, silver, and all the political events that transpire arond our world.  When I hear politicians making the same promises over and over, I have come to the point that I refuse to place my trust in any of them.  I don't care if it's Michelle Bachmann, Paul Ryan, Jim DeMint, and Rand Paul, etc.  Some of these Republicans make the right statements, but they're not utilizing the resources they have at hand to derail President Obama's agenda.  Michelle Bachmann repeatedly states that she's going to fight to repeal Obamacare.  I would like to ask Ms. Bachmann why doesn't she organize a group of House Republicans to strip off funding for Obamacare?  If she won't do that, I don't want to hear her campaign promises that she's going to repeal Obamacare.  She won't.  They want the issue, but they have no intention to solve the problem.  That's the truth.  I've heard Republicans proclaim for years they're going to rein in government spending and rid America of its dependence on foreign oil.  They never do.  They're only interested in their political careers.  They'll say whatever it takes to get re-elected.  Democrats are the same way.

I've heard the old saying that our elected elite are representative of the American people.  I sadly find it true.  Why aren't many Americans disturbed by the fraud and corruption among our elite more than they are?  Why is it that we have Congressmen and Senators with the morals of an alleycat and it doesn't bother many people?  Last year former Congressman Anthony Weiner (D-NY) resigned after it had been discovered he had been sexting on the internet.  How many people does that bother?  How much does it bother the American people that our elected elite lie to us on a regular basis?  They make promises to us continually they have no intention of keeping.  The Republicans promised us in 2010 that they would rein in government spending and trying to stop Obamacare.  As I speak, House Republicans have made no effort to defund Obamacare and spending continually keeps climbing.  ( I wouldn't jump the gun and assume the U.S. Supreme Court is going to strike down Obamacare).  I would like to ask conservative and Christian voters how much does it bother you when they make promises to stop wasteful spending or are working to drill for more domestic oil and nothing ever seems to come to fruition?  Aren't you tired of hearing Republicans make the same promises but never do anything to stop President Obama's agenda?  I would like to ask those voters who vote Democrat don't you get tired of hearing Democrats (including President Obama) say they'll remove our troops out of Iraq and Afghanistan but the troops are still in Afghanistan and on top of that are also in Libya?  Thankfully our troops are out of Iraq for the most part but that was due to an agreement that former president George W. Bush made with Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri-al-Maliki in December 2008.  I can recall Democrats in 2006 complaining of high gas prices but they haven't done anything to stop high gas prices since President Obama's been in office.  Democrats have made promises as well they haven't kept.  Both political parties are pathetic.  I'm not disappointed in the Democrats because they're doing what I expect.  They're proven to be European socialists.  I'm disappointed in Republicans because their actions and their words are in variance with one another.  The Republicans try to fool the conservative voters and make them think they are going to return our government to the Constitution but they don't try to stop President Obama's agenda.  It's just business as usual.  I'm sick of it. 

We've raised a generation that today possesses this mindset that the government owes them a living.  I've listened to many people over the years and when it comes to voting for politicians. Their mind is focused upon voting for a politician that will provide for them government handouts and government benefits such as healthcare.  The mindset of today's generation has strayed far from the mindset of Americans in the eighteenth century when this country was founded.  There was a time when Americans believed in the concept of rugged individualism, which is we work for our own living.  We labor with our own hands and we enjoy the fruit of our own labors.  The American people at one time believed it was their own personal responsibility to provide for their own living.  Today we've developed this mindset it's the responsibility of the government to take care of us.  That's where the notion of the nanny state comes in.

The Need for a Second American Revolution (Part 3)

Last Sunday I had intended on finishing this particular post but instead I was rambling and wasn't focused on the thought I wanted to expound upon.  Lord willing today I'm going to be succinct and bring forth the thought that I had intended to bring last Sunday.  As I closed last Sunday's post I stated I was going to be discussing what areas I'm referencing when I say America needs a second revolution.  The question that needs to be asked is where does a second revolution need to take place?  Am I making reference to the federal government?  As I stated in the last post and the previous post on Memorial Day, I don't think that it's very probable that we can reform or revolutionize our government.  The problem is we aren't just dealing with 535 Congressmen and Senators plus the president.  They are controlled and manipulated by the forces of Nimrod or globalist forces.  There all all types of influences in Washington that we're not even aware of.  Also foreign countries such as China holds a certain percentage of America's debt, which doesn't bode well for us.  With all the international forces that control and manipulate our government, I don't see how it's possible to turn our government around.  I know with God all things are possible, but we focus too much of our attention on reforming government and neglect those things that we can change.   If we could've turned things around we would've had to done it over 30 years ago.  Today, I'm afraid it's virtually impossible.  The globalists or the forces of Nimrod have just about completed their agenda for a new world order.   They have a tight grip on this country.

As I mentioned in the previous two posts, when I speak of America needing a second American revolution, I'm not speaking of Christians taking up arms fighting each other.  Ephesians 6:12 says, "For we wrestle not with flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."  We're not wrestling with flesh and blood, we're wrestling against Satan.  The question needs to be asked who or what needs a revolution?  It's the American people that need a revolution.  The United States is comprised of the American people.  I'm not downplaying the importance of government.  There is a role for government, but the greatness of America doesn't lie in America's system of government.  It lies in those who fear God.  Our great nation was built from the bottom up.  When you drive across the country and view the landscape and infrastructure of America, it was people who had a strong work ethic that built and developed this great country.  A country is comprised of its people.  The heart and soul of America is its people.  IF America is to ever have a chance to survive, then it's people need a transformation.  First all, we need to recognize that America needs an awakening from God.  We must recognize that America is in a terrible condition spiritually, morally, and socially, and politically.  The only way for Americans to get help is for us to be awakened to the fact we're in trouble morally, spiritually, socially, and politically.  Our answers don't come from government.  It comes from God.  The biggest problem with America is the fact we've strayed from the Biblical principles our forefathers built this nation upon.  Ever since the hippie movement of the 1960's, America has been on a fast and furious downward slide.  Sin is prevalent on every hand.  We as a people cannot continue going the same direction without imploding.  Our nation is in a state of moral decay.  We have people that are strung out on drugs, alcohol, etc.  More and more Americans are cohabitating together.  Many marriages are in the rocks in this country.  Complacency grips this land.  Our youth are in trouble and are without any sense of direction.  America's schools are being dumbed down.  Children in schools are being taught that homosexuality is a normal, acceptable lifestyle.  Since 1973 millions of unborn children have been slaughtered from their mothers' wombs.  We definitely need a revolution.

We as a country need a revolution in our thinking and our lifestyles.  America's churches and America's school systems need a revolution.  God's people need revival and millions need to hear a clear-cut presentation of the gospel so they can be saved.  If God's people experience a real revival, that would solve many of America's problems automatically.  The things that we hold dear in life, the things that are important to us would change.  Instead of being concerned about purchasing the latest i-pad, things that are of eternal significance would take precedence.  I'm not opposed to material wealth and there's nothing wrong with possessing goods as long as we don't forget the Lord in the process.  In our land we need preachers standing in pulpits once again preaching the Bible with fire and power and once again preach "Thus saith the Lord."  We need Christians to place a proper emphasis upon the things of God and to recognize this world we're living in is temporal. 

Given the fact the public school systems have been secularized in today's society, many parents have chosen to take their children out of the public schools and either place them in a Christian school or to homeschool them.  The homeschooling movement has grown considerably in the last several years.  I would like to see major changes in the public school system.  However, as long as the educrats have control of our educational system, our nation's schools have no chance for a reform.  Those who are in charge of our schools today have a social agenda they're trying to push through the school system.  They aren't concerned about America's children being academically competent.  They're all about teaching children to be tolerant towards those things that God despises such as sodomy, abortion, fornication, and sin in general.  Schools today are brainwashing our children away from the Bible and the God of the Bible.  They have taught that man is the measure of all things and life is all about this present world.  Society has done a great job diverting our attention away from the fact that there is an eternity and that we need to prepare for eternity.  Life on this earth is just a vapor, but eternity is forever.

I know the thoughts that I've presented are sketchy and don't have much meat on the bones.  However, I have other things I need to do right now so I'm going to end it in this fashion.  America's problems are primarily spiritual in nature and America's solution is to return to the God of the Bible.  America's only hope is in God almighty.  If we don't turn back to God and serve Him, this nation will be finished.

The Need for a Second American Revolution (Part 2)

As the Fourth of July is approaching us, there will be all kinds of picnics and celebrations commemorating the fourth.  There will be all kinds of fireworks displays.  Many will be visiting their loved ones and friends.  There will be many outdoor barbeques.  Another event that will be taking place is Vacation Liberty School, which is an offshoot of the 9/12 Project, which began in 2009.  Tomorrow our country will be celebrating 235 years of Independence, beginning with the signing of the Declaration of Independence.  America has undergone tremendous changes since its founding.  America has progressed from a rural community of farms to one of the most industrial nations on the face of the earth.  America's infrastructure has been greatly developed over the last 235 years.  There have been many wonderful advancements and innovations that have taken place to make us the envy of the world.  Consequently, in the midst of all the advancements America has made over the years, she has digressed socially, morally, and spiritually.  America was founded on the preaching of the Word of God.  The Puritans and Pilgrams who came to America were looking for a land where they could worship God as they chose.  They came here and dedicated Massachusetts to the Lord.  They were very serious about serving God and strove to live a life that was pleasing to the Lord.  That doesn't mean they were perfect, but the things of God were very important to them.  As a result, God has blessed this country.  There were great moves of God such as the First and Second Great Awakening in the 18th century.  Great preachers have roamed this country over the years thundering the gospel.  Men such as Jonathon Edwards, George Whitefield, D.L. Moody, Billy Sunday, Percy Ray, etc. preached the gospel with fervor and God used those men mightily in the history of this country.  Since the 20th century, America has digressed morally, socially, and spiritually.  Liberalism infiltrated the mainline denominations of our churches in this country and they no longer preached a salvation which demanded repentance.  Instead, they preached a message of collectivism.  They preached a social gospel which promoted the cause of social justice.  As a result, there are scores of people sitting in pews in our churches today that knew nothing of the doctrine of salvation or what old-time religion is.  Many churches know nothing of the holiness of God.  Instead the church is trying to accommodate to the world, which is tragic.  Today our churches are blending with the world.  You can hardly distinguish the church from the world. 

The problems that plague America are undoubtedly spiritual.  I do know we have many problems economically and politically.  However, those are the results of the spiritual condition this country is in.  I wrote a post last year entitled, "We Get the Government We Deserve."  I recall struggling with that thought at one time for the simple reason that today when we vote for candidates there's virtually no difference between the major political parties.  They're both part of the problem.  It's come to the point where you almost have to write a candidate on the voting ballot, which is something I've done.  I do understood that regardless who you vote for, nothing changes for the better.  However, I'm not basing the argument that we get the government we deserve concerning the crop of candidates we have today.  Our politicians are a reflection of who we are as a people.  What do I mean by that?  Just recently New York Congressman Anthony Weiner resigned due to pressure from the House leadership.  He was guilty of posting naked pictures of himself on his Twitter account.  He was also sexting women as well.  The reason for Weiner's resignation wasn't due to calls from the 9th Congressional district in New York demanding his resignation.  I believe if he were to run again next year, he would win re-election in his district.  That's an example of what I'm speaking of when I say we get the government we deserve.  We knowingly re-elect our politicians when they've proven they're corrupt and are perverted.  Take a look at Charles Rangel (D-NY), and Barney Frank (D-MA).  Both Congressmen should've already been voted out.  Charles Rangel was censured by the House last fall due to violations of the tax laws.  Yet the voters re-elected him in New York's 15th district.  In 2008, the mortgage meltdown took place and two of the banks that went down were Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.  Barney Frank was chair of the Banking Committee in the House.  Yet he's won re-election twice since then.  When we knowingly re-elect politicians that have proven to be corrupt, we're getting the government we deserve.  I know their morals are a reflection upon those voters that vote for them today.  Many Americans don't care about the sex scandals our elected elite are involved in because many people in America fornicate.  So why would they care if their Representatives or Senators are fornicating?  That's part of the reason why we get the government we deserve.  If we were dissatisfied with the direction Congress was taking us, we would overwhelming vote out the incumbents in droves.  I'm thankful for all those that were voted out last November.  However, we need to continually purge out the House and Senate.  We need to repeat the same procedure in 2012. 

I will conclude this post next Sunday.  I will be speaking of what areas in American society need a second revolution.  I will give you a hint and say I'm not necessarily speaking of the government.  As much as I would like to see that happen, I don't think there's any legitimate way to reform our federal government.  I believe our government is too far gone down the road for any type of reform to take place.  Have a great Independence Day tomorrow!

Mike Wallace Interviews Margaret Sanger on Birth Control

On September 21, 1957 Mike Wallace, who worked with ABC at the time, interviewed Margaret Sanger on her advocacy of birth control.  This interview was prior to the introduction of the birth control pill in 1960, the feminist movement of the 1960's, and the Roe vs. Wade Supreme Court decision on January 22, 1973.  Much of her philosophy was later implemented in American society through the court system.  Sanger's ideas on birth control and child birth were considered "revolutionary" at the time.  She spent her life embarking on a crusade to legalize birth control.   During her early years in trying to promote contraceptives, she was jailed for trying to promote birth control.  She was the founder of Planned Parenthood (1916), which has aided many young women in committing abortions.  She was opposed to abortion, due to the effect that it could have on mothers physically.  Even though she was a believer in birth control, she didn't believe abortion should be used as a method of birth control.  Consequently, some of those that are advocates of Margaret Sanger's theories on birth control today believe that women should have the right to use abortion as a means of birth control.  Sadly, Planned Parenthood has played a role in aborting many babies from the mothers' wombs, which was something that Sanger opposed.

The Need for a Second American Revolution (Part 1)

Happy Memorial Day to everyone.  I want to wish all the blog readers a very Happy Memorial Day.  Today many people will be out traveling, visiting family, and even having backyard barbecues.  In the midst of all the activity that's taking place today, let's remember the real purpose behind Memorial Day which is to remember all of the fallen soldiers who fought and bled for this country throughout the nearly 235 years of American history.  We owe a debt of gratitude to all those that willingly risked their lives in the field of battle so America can enjoy the freedoms she does today.  Our freedom is blood-bought.  It's very easy to forget that even though our soldiers bought our freedom on the battlefield, soldiers have had to periodically fight on the battlefield years later to maintain our freedom, even during the 1930's and 1940's when our world was in a battle to fight off Hitler's onslaught of Nazism.  Our soldiers fought valiantly to turn back the Hitler regime and a few months later, the Japanese regime.  We always must remain vigilant.  God's been good to us. 

I can recall nearly 20 years ago reading a book authored by John Whitehead entitled, "The Second American Revolution."  Whitehead, the founder and director of the Rutherford Institute, wrote this book in 1982.  He speaks about the secular assault on the public school system, the courts, and in the halls of government.  He encourages Christians to stand up and speak against the humanist onslaught in our society.  I remember reading that book and it helped me to see what the agenda of the humanists are.  Our nation is in a spiritual battle.  The Devil is fighting on every hand.  Since the Engel vs. Vitale Supreme Court decision in June 1962, our nation has been on a spiritual decline.  Look at the condition of the public school system since the Court stepped in and ruled against prayer and Bible reading in the classrooms.  Our educational system has been dumbed down.  There are all types of violence in the public school system.  Students bring guns and knives to school.  Teenage pregancy has skyrocked in the last 30+ years.  Student achievement has declined in the public schools.  There has been a dramatic increase in crime in our society.  Illegal immigration has made border states such as California, Arizona, and Texas war zones near the border.  Drug trafficking is common at the border states.  Our elected elite refuse to take a firm stand against illegal immigration. 

America was founded on Judeo-Christian principles.  Our Puritan forefathers came to America seeking a country where they could worship the Lord as they chose without state interference.  During the colonial days of America, she experience some great revivals such as the First and Second Great Awakenings and God moved in a mighty way.  The culture of America was changed as a result of the awakenings.  America was built on preaching.  That provided the theological underpinnings for America.  America was built on a solid foundation prior to the War for Independence.  The War for Independece in 1776 was not a revolution in the sense that France experienced.  The French Revolution was a bloodbath.  America's revolution was more of a counterrevolution which was against the government of Great Britain.  It was not a revolution against the founding principles of this nation.  The colonists were not at war with the principles that built their colonies.  They were at war with King George III.  They were at war against a country that tried to rule the colonies overseas without any sort of representation, such as the different taxes the British Parliament imposed upon the American colonists.  The colonists wanted freedom of self-government.  They desired the freedom to make their own laws and worship God as they chose.  That's what the War for Independence was about. 

When I speak of the need for a second American revolution, what am I speaking of?  I'm not speaking of Americans taking up arms and overthrowing the American government.  I'm not even speaking of political reform necessarily.  As much as I agree Washington D.C. needs a good house cleaning, I'm not sure cleaning house in Washington is going to solve the problem.  To be candid with you, I'm not certain it's even possible to reform Washington anymore.  Psalms 11:3 points out that if the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?  I believe it's almost if not impossible to reform Washington.  As much as I'm a believer in throwing out corrupt incumbents, that's not going to turn America around.  I'm not trying to minimize the impact of an overreaching government.  I'm not underestimating the damage that's been inflicted by our elected elite in Washington.  The thing we need to undestand concerning our elected representatives along with our president is they are not acting alone.  They are just fulfilling the agenda of the puppet masters which I believe include the Federal Reserve, the CFR, and those elites that are setting the agenda in America and throughout the world.  Our elected representatives are controlled and manipulated by the monied elite.  One of the reasons why I'm not overly excited about next year's presidential election is simply because I understand that voting President Obama out of office isn't going to turn this nation around.  He's just a puppet on the strong.  I believe he's a strong hard-core socialist, but I don't believe he sets the agenda.  I don't believe he alone made the decision to oust Osama bin Laden (if he's truly dead) or the decision to send American troops into Libya.  I believe there are other forces pulling his strings.  I don't believe Obama would be president today if he didn't meet the qualifications of the puppet masters three years ago prior to the Democratic primary.  Regardless who becomes president America's drive towards socialism will continue.  If Mitt Romney, Herman Cain, or Tim Pawlenty is elected president in 2012, I guarantee you they won't roll back any of the legislation that was passed during the 111th Congress and in Barack Obama's first two years as president.

In summarizing what I just said I'm not insinuating that Christians shouldn't engage themselves in the political process.  I most certainly believe they need to involve themselves in the political process.  I'm thankful for the emergency of the Tea Party two years ago.  I believe they played a role in the House of Representatives going Republican as well as several state legislatures across the country turning Republican.  I believe the American people need to make their voices heard by keeping in contact with their elected representatives.  However, I believe our political system is probably past the point of no return to make any kind of significant change.  We need a second American revolution but it's not going to come by reforming Washington.  The international banking interests has such a tight grip on our politicians that I don't know how to break that grip.  Mayor Amschel Rothschild made a famous quote over two years ago which says, "Give me control of a nation's money supply, and I care not who makes its laws."  What a gripping quote!  What it's saying is that whomever controls the nations currency controls everything.  All the laws that are written and passed are worthless.  That's why many of our Founding Fathers were opposed to centralized banking during the early years of the American republic.  Those who control the monetary policy control the nation's destiny.  If another revolution comes, it will have to come among the American people.  I believe it's a little too late to speak about creating a revolution in Washington.  The problem is too bloated in Washington to turn our political system around.  However, there does need to be a revolution amongst the American people concerning its ideas, philosophy and its way of living.  I will continue this post at a later date.

I had originally intended on posting this on Saturday, January 22nd, remembering the tragic anniversary of the Supreme Court case, Roe vs. Wade in 1973.  However, I never wrote it.  Last night, I watched Glenn Beck on Fox News and his program was about abortion and Planned Parenthood.  As a result, I thought it would be fitting to write this post today.  Beck aired some clips of Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood.  She was racist in her beliefs and she believed in imposing birth control upon blacks and other "misfits" in America.  Beck had a guest on his program named Lila Rose, who is a pro-life activist and is founder of pro-life group Live Action.  She is noted for a series of campaigns against Planned Parenthood across the country.  She was involved in undercover action exposing the sex trafficking of teenagers taking place in Planned Parenthood centers across America.  She founded Live Action when she was 15 and continued involving herself with pro-life issues when she was a student at UCLA.  She played a major role in exposing the sex trafficking of teenagers at Planned Parenthood across America.  Rose has also appeared on "Hannity", "Glenn Beck" and "The O'Reilly Factor" on Fox News.

When the Glenn Beck show began yesterday, he was making a comparison to the issue of abortion today vs. the issue of the institution of slavery in America over a century and a half ago.  It's interesting because slavery treated the negro as just property rights of the slave owners.  A famously, flawed U.S. Supreme Court decision of 1857, "Dred Scott vs. Sanford", stated the slave didn't inherently possess rights.  He was the property of the slave owner.  The slave was de-humanized.  In the 1973 U.S. Supreme Court decision of Roe vs. Wade, the baby or "fetus" is just a blob of tissue and isn't a human being until he/she's considered viable or able to live outside the womb.  That decision stated women have a right to abort the "fetus" if they so choose to do so.  Hence we have the phrase, "A woman's right to choose."  However, the fatal Supreme Court decision of 1973 fails to recognize that children are created in the image of God.  With the advances of technology since 1973, a sonogram reveals that the "fetus" that's inside the womb of a mother is a live, human being.  As a result, technology has rendered the abortion argument that an unborn child isn't a human being a lie.  A child is a human being the moment conception takes place.  Nevertheless, regardless of technology, we know from God's word that a baby is a human being and nothing that society or politicians can say will change that fact. 

During the early part of our nation's history, our country embraced the Judeo-Christian heritage.  Our country was built upon Judeo-Christian principles.  Christianity gives meaning to life and believes that man's worth is based on the fact that he was created by God.  Psalms 51:5 states that in sin did my mother conceive me.  Psalms 139:14 states that we are fearfully and wonderfully made.  Those verses verify that a child in the mother's womb is a live human being.  The view that children are nothing more than nuisances that can be aborted if they are an inconvenience is due to the materialist, humanist philosophy that life's value is based upon utility or it's usefulness.  If a sonogram determines that a child has Down's Syndrome and will never be able to live a normal life, then why shouldn't the mother have the right to abort her child in that it will be an inconvenience and interfere with her lifestyle.  That's the humanist mentality about abortion.  One of the things that troubles me is how politicians have relegated abortion to a political issue.  It's very foolish. 

Years ago when then President Ronald Reagan appointed Sandra Day O'Connor as the first ever woman justice of the U.S. Supreme Court, many religious conservatives were skeptical of her nomination because of her views on abortion.  Dr. Jerry Falwell was one in particular who didn't favor Reagan's appointment of O'Connor.  The late Senator Barry Goldwater (R-AZ) made the statement that abortion is a non-conservative issue.  I didn't agree with Goldwater's "libertarian" views on abortion, but I do agree with the statement that abortion is a non-conservative issue.  I'll go a step further:  I believe abortion is also a non-liberal issue.  Abortion should be a non-political issue altogether.  Just as everyone in Congress would agree the old issue of slavery in America should have never happened nor should it ever have been a political issue.  During the early days of our country when slavery was being practiced down South, slavery was a political issue.  A century and a half later we would all agree that it's asinine that an issue such as slavery was ever a political issue.  Blacks were human beings that deserved to be treated like humans just like the whites.  I believe every politician in Congress would stand in agreement.  Consequently, abortion has been relegated as a political issue.  We have two sides staking positions on the abortion issue.  The Left favors abortion rights for women and the Right supposedly opposes abortion except in the case of rape, incest, or the mother's life is in danger.  The problem with those on the Right is that many of the Republican politicians give lip service to being opposed to abortion because it's a winning issue with them on the conservative base.  In other words, they're interested in the issue, but aren't willing to solve the problem.  That's why some Republicans or conservative pundits say we shouldn't place much emphasis on the abortion issue because "conservatives" don't have any intention of overturning Roe vs. Wade or banning abortions. 

Regardless of the political ideology or bent of a politician regardless whether they are liberal or conservative, both sides of the aisle should be vehemently opposed to abortion and do everything in their power to right this injustice.  This is an issue about life.  Life transcends politics.  The fate of an unborn child shouldn't be decided by those on Capitol Hill or on the judiciary.  Abortion shouldn't be an issue any more than slavery should be an issue.  Neither side of the political spectrum should favor abortion.  Life is more sacred than to relegate it to politics.  Abortion is murder and God hates it when we allow this heinous crime to continue.  The issue of life should be common sense when it comes to politics.  Always choose life.

It amazes me how "enlightened" our society appears to be.  We have Hollywood entertainers, politicians, children of politicians, and the movers and shakers of society that have jumped on the bandwagon of political correctness.  They have made themselves an altar of political correctness and have bowed to it.  As a result, you hear nothing but insanity from these people.  It's disgusting.  A case in point is Barbara Pierce Bush, the twin daughter of former president George W. Bush.  She appeared on an ad recently entitlted, "New Yorkers for Marriage Equality."  She was giving her full weight and support to "marriage equality" where people should have the privilege to marry those that they love.  There are others that have joined the bandwagon as well.  Barbara's mother and former First Lady, Laura Welch Bush, supports the idea of civil unions for homosexuals.  She believes that if a couple love one another, regardless of their "sexual orientation" in their own words, should be entitled to join together and enjoy the same benefits as married heterosexual couples. 

I'm going to make a very bold statement right here:  ANYONE THAT BELIEVES THAT HOMOSEXUALITY IS NORMAL AND THAT HOMOSEXUALS SHOULD JOIN TOGETHER IN MARRIAGE NEED A LESSON ON SEX EDUCATION!!!!!  You have it right.  They need a lesson on the facts of life if they're so stupid to believe you can join two men or two women together.  It's absolutely impossible.  It's unseemly.  It's unnatural.  You can't fit two men together any more than you can fit two screws together.  Two screws won't fit.  A screw must fit into a bolt.  That's the same with a couple.  A couple requires a man and woman to be joined together in holy matrimony.  A man and a woman can have a relationship with one another.  That's Biblical.  The anatomy of a woman's body and a man's body are designed to fit together.  I'm not going to get more plain than that, even though I could if necessary.  It's pathetic that we even should have to have a discussion such as this.  Our public school systems spend millions of dollars teaching students sex education.  I have some news for all the educators across the nation.  Public school students know more about sex than what we give them credit for.  We're educating the wrong group about sex.  The ones that need to be taught sex education are those politicians, judges, and media figures that endorse gay rights and gay marriage.  Anyone that has not been brainwashed by political correctness knows that homosexuality is unnatural.  God never intended for two men to fall in love with one another.  If that happens, that's perversion.  God plays no part in that perversion.  Many times men that fall under the influence of homosexuality happens as a result of some of the things that took place during their childhood.  Some of these homosexual men were sexually abused as boys and as a result, they've been aroused by that wicked, ungodly lifestyle.  However, there's nothing natural nor convenient about two men or two women engaging in sexual relations.  Men's bodies aren't designed by God to have a sexual relationship with men.  Women's bodies aren't designed by God to have a sexual relationship with women.  God intended for man and woman to have a relationship with one another in the bond of marriage.  God's purpose is for man and woman to complete one another in marriage and as a result to bear children.  Homosexuals can't produce children.  If our whole population of both men and women became sodomites, the species would become extinct.  It would take a generation or two for the species to die out.  Homosexuals can't produce children.  That alone says that homosexuality is unnatural.  God has never placed his stamp of approval on homosexuality.  Not now.  Not ever. 

I can recall when the Massachusetts Supreme Court in November 2003 placed their stamp of approval on gay marriage.  One of the first thoughts that came to my mind was they needed a lessson on sex education.  I felt they needed to explain how two people of the same gender could have a relationship with one another.  Common sense dictates that homosexuality is sin.  Common sense dictates that homosexuality is unnatural.  I know there will probably be some people who will read the above verses from Romans 1:18-28 and they will say they don't believe in God nor believe in the Bible.  They will excuse their belief in gay marriage by saying they don't believe in the God that I believe in.  They will say they don't see what the Bible says about homosexuality.  I have one problem with that:  two women nor two men fit together.  You can't even intellectually justify sodomy.  I don't care what you claim your religion is.  You could be a Catholic, a Unitarian, a professing atheist, or an agnostic.  It doesn't matter what kind of religion you subscribe to.  Anyone that has any common sense will have to admit homosexuality isn't normal.  It's not natural.  A professing atheist should understand that.  God said that homosexuals do that which is unnatural and inconvenient.  Common sense alone dictates that homosexuality is wrong.  Two men can't fit together no more than two screws can fit together.  You don't have to have an education to know that.  There used to be men who didn't have an equivalent of a second grade education several generations ago that had more sense that homosexuality was wrong.  They knew if two men liked each other, they're strange.  They don't have it together.  There were people years ago who didn't even claim to be Christian that had more sense to know that homosexuality was a deviant lifestyle.  You can thank former president Bill Clinton for bringing homosexuality into the forefront in today's society.  The homosexual mafia started making major inroads into American society as a result of Clinton's endorsement of homosexuals being allowed to serve in the military in the 1992 presidential campaign.  Since that time, the homosexual mafia has gained more influence into America's institutions. 

I choose to believe that Barbara Bush, Meagan McCain, politicians such as Dennis Kucinich, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, etc. aren't stupid intellectually.  I believe they've bowed on the altar of political correctness.  They've sacrificed common sense, God and patriotism on the altar of political correctness.  Instead, they've chosen to be a part of the politically correct crowd who embraces anything that's politically popular to the Progressives and globalists, whatever that may be.  Gay marriage and gay rights are two of those issues.  They decided the agenda is more important that common sense.  They can tell me from dawn to dusk they don't believe in God or are agnostics.  It doesn't matter.  Nature cries out and says homosexuality isn't natural.  Homosexuals can't reproduce.  The human species will become extinct if everybody in the world decided to engage in this sordid, ungodly lifestyle.  Homosexuality cannot be intellectually justified.  You can't say you don't believe in the Bible as an excuse to support the homosexual lifestyle.  Two men nor two women fit together.  Two and two don't add up in regards to the homosexual lifestyle.  It's just common sense. 

God's Vote is For Life

(LifeNews.com)  In the latest news from LifeNews.com, Pete Arnold, the husband behind the website BirthOrNot, admitted that the website he created sometime back asking the question whether or not the couple should seek an abortion for their 17-week old unborn baby was just a hoax.  Pete and Alisha Arnold put up the website claiming they were conflicted over whether or not to abort their 17-week old unborn baby or to keep it.  He said they didn't have any intentions of having an abortion.  Pete also admitted what bloggers of both sides were saying and that he bought the BirthOrNot.com web domain four months ago--before Alisha was pregnant.  He claimed they put up this website to engage people on the subject of abortion because many people feel it's an issue that doesn't affect them personally.  Pro-life nurse and blogger Jill Stanek believed this website was a hoax.  She said she could see "scam" written all over it.  She said her reaction to seeing that website was they were trying to "punk pro-lifers."  Many who claim to be pro-choice thought it was an attack against them, esp. with the ultrasound pictures the couple displayed on the website. 

Prior to their admitting that this website was a hoax, of the 44,000 voters who cast their vote last Thursday, 80% said to keep the baby on the website.  However, in the last few days it swung the opposite direction, esp. in a 30-hour period.  On Monday with 959,000 votes in, 70% voted that she should terminate the pregnancy.  Pete said that Alisha is pro-choice, but they weren't about to consider an abortion.  They wanted people to think about this issue, which many people don't like discussing.

That was a very pathetic trick they pulled on the website.  First of all, God has already voted on the issue of life before he created man.  God always chooses life.  God is the one who gives like and takes it away.  God is never in favor of murdering an unborn baby in the womb.  Second of all, the internet shouldn't be used for foolishness such as casting a vote on whether a couple should obtain an abortion.  The issue about what should be the role of the internet is for another post which I will write sometime soon.  I will say very briefly we've allowed things to go on the internet that have no business being on there.  The internet is increasingly being used more and more as a social networking tool with the advent of MySpace in 2003 and Facebook in 2004.  Many Facebook and MySpace users utilize it to share very personal and private things on it.  Many people will air their dirty laundry on it--even many who claim to be born again and love the Lord.  There's a lot of foolishness that's taken place as a result of these social networking tools.  When you advertise your dirty laundry or your private life, you are being put on display before the whole world to view.  Anything that you place on these social networking tools will always be on there--even if you attempt to erase what you've place on there.  You can get hooked with the wrong kind of company on these social networking tools.  There are many predators on the internet.  I will elaborate more about this on another post.  I will say that I believe the internet should be used for the proclamation of the gospel of Jesus Christ, news, good songs, and information that's beneficial to the public at large. 

Even though the couple admitted that this BirthOrNot.com website was a hoax, that was in very poor taste to say it mildly.  I believe it's wicked to put for a vote before the general internet audience on whether or not a couple should keep a baby that's in their womb.  First of all, abortion is murder.  God's already voted before the dawn of time that it's a sin to murder.  Secondly, you don't use the internet as a means to ask personal questions from internet users.  I'm like anyone else in life, I have decisions I have to make.  I will seek advice from only a select group of people from church. I don't broadcast any major decisions that I'm considering on the internet.  Those decisions that I consider is private and I don't advertise them before the world. 

This particular blog that was started in June 2009 wasn't created for the purpose of sharing personal and private information.  I share information that's newsworthy and information that will benefit the public-at-large.  I share general things on the internet ranging from Biblical topics to news.  I share things that are of public interest.  I do admit that I have written posts about individual people that I know personally that have made great achievements in certain areas of their lives.  However, I try to be cautious in what I share.  There are some things that have no business being advertised on the Net.  This issue was one of them.  There are other ways you can engage the public about the subject of abortion without being deceitful before the public.  There are some issues that are never to be placed on a website for a vote.  This is one of them!  When it comes to the issue of life--God's already cast his vote.  We aren't to vote on issues that God's clearly stated His position on.  Abortion is murder.  God's answer is LIFE!

On Wednesday August 11, 2010, Glenn Beck appeared on the "Beck and Call" segment on the O'Reilly Factor, in which he does nearly every week.  Bill O'Reilly was posing the question to Glenn Beck on why he doesn't cover cultural issues such as abortion and gay marriage.  Beck responded and says that's what O'Reilly does on his program.  Beck stated that he doesn't devote time on either his radio or television program about gay marriage or abortion simply because he doesn't think it's that important in comparison to other issues.  Beck says there are bigger fish to fry.  Beck says that America is in flames and he's focusing more on the broader picture.  Beck says he focuses more on faith and persuading Americans to find attend church and find their faith.  O'Reilly then specifically asked him about gay marriage.  The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals struck down the ban on same-sex marriage which was Prop. 8 in California.  Voters approved the ban by a 52% margin.  This wasn't the first time a same-sex marriage proposal approved by California voters was struck down.  In 2008, the California Supreme Court struck down a same-sex marriage ban that California voters approved in either in 2004 or 2006.  Proposition 8 was proposed in 2008 and voters again voted against same sex marriage.  Just recently Judge Vaugh Walker wrote that the same-sex marriage ban was unconstitutional. 

Glenn Beck stated that gay marriage wasn't that huge of an issue overall.  O'Reilly said this gay marriage ruling could be the law of the land in years to come.  Beck didn't think it was that huge of a threat.  Beck asked the question were the gays coming out to get us.  He cited a famous quote from Thomas Jefferson which undoubtedly was out of context.  Beck said, "If it doesn't break my leg nor pick my pocket, then what difference is it to me?  I was disturbed when Beck made that statement.  Sadly, that's the state of the "conservative" movement today in the political arena.  It's appalling that "conservatives" such as Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh for example, don't want to take a stand against gay marriage or the homosexual lifestyle.  In their materialistic worldview, as long as any laws don't cause them personal harm nor affect their finances, what's the difference?

The ruling by Judge Walker and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals should disturb Americans for a couple of reasons:  One reason is because the homosexual lifestyle is in dire contradiction to scripture which condemns sodomy.  (I Corinthians 6:9) and (Romans 1:18-32).  Anytime we walk in contradiction to God's word, judgment will come upon a nation.  A second reason we should be concerned is because the government is assuming the role of granting rights to Americans. The government in this hour is assuming the responsibility of granting rights to the American people.  Congress back in March passed a healthcare bill which in essence says that Americans are entitled to healthcare.  It's very dangerous when government establishes "rights".  A right that a government grants you can also remove your rights as well.  However, if the federal government decides to fully legitimatize the homosexual lifestyle, it will be here to stay.  We'll definitely head in the way of Canda where churches won't be allow to speak a word against the homosexual lifestyle in the pulpits.  If gay marriage becomes law of the land, the government will clamp down on the rights of those to speak out against sodomy.  If the government decrees that homosexuals have the right to marry, then the federal government will provide full enforcement of that law.  They will use whatever tool necessary to ensure that homosexuals aren't "discriminated" against. 

Beck seemingly appears ignorant of this.  The government has no business granting rights to individuals.  As Thomas Jefferson so eloquently stated in the Declaration of Independence, our rights were given by God.  The first ten amendments to the Constitution dubbed as the "Bill of Rights" weren't rights our Founders granted to the American people.  They incorporated those into the Constitution to let the government know they have no right to infringe on the "inalienable" rights given by God.  These are rights that no government has the right to remove from American citizens.  The federal government has no business assigning rights to gays or anybody. We have a government that's becoming a usurper of authority.  They're trying to dictate every move we make.  It's not happened in a total sense yet, but it will happen the rate things are going.  When the government creates a "right", they'll prosecute those that try to infringe upon those "rights."  I guarantee that in the future any preacher or judge that refuses to marry homosexuals could be thrown in jail.  That could happen.  We haven't seen it all yet.  America will become a totalitarian government at the rate things are going.  A totalitarian regime isn't going to be tolerant of any group that violates or speaks out against something they believe is opposed to God's Word.  Hence, that's why there's such an effort to curtail free speech. 

Beck misquoted Thomas Jefferson.  I don't believe Jefferson would make a statement with such a fundamental issue as homosexual marriage.  That issue will cause us harm.  It will affect everybody.  Society will force this upon all Americans.  If we refuse to comply, we will be punished for it.  I believe when Thomas Jefferson was making that quote he was probably making reference to a person's preference for religion or their own personal worldview.  To say that homosexual marriage isn't that huge of an issue is very ignorant, to put it mildly.  This issue will transform this nation if it's made a law of the land.  The government will persecute those that refuse to comply with whatever dictums the government grants.  These "conservatives" want to make light of the seriousness of moral and social issues.  This issue just doesn't affect a particular group of people.  It affects everyone.  Everyone will be affected by this.  Those that are opposed will be silenced if they speak out against it.  Glenn Beck better wake up!  This issue is just as essential or probably more so than all the other issues we face.  America will be totally transformed when the government assumes the role of god and decides who deserves special rights and those who don't.

Children Need Fathers as Well as Mothers

Yesterday evening on the O'Reilly Factor, Bill O'Reilly had Gretchen Carlson and Margaret Hoover as his guests on the Cultural Warrior segment on his program.  He was mentioning about the comment that Actress Jennifer Aniston made concerning single motherhood.  Aniston stated (I'm paraphrasing it) that women more and more don't have to settle down with a man to have a child.  Bill O'Reilly stated that Aniston was presenting the message to 12 and 13 year old girls that fathers aren't important.  In other words, you don't need father.  O'Reilly said sending that kind of message to young girls is very destructive to society.  O'Reilly's on the mark.  I can recall back in 1992 when Candace Bergen, who starred in "Murphy Brown" made light of the importance of fatherhood.  Then Vice President Dan Quayle jumped on that issue and he received a lot of criticism for that statement.  That same year happened to be a presidential election year as well where Bill Clinton defeated incumbent George H.W. Bush for the presidency.

I want to make a statement at the outset and say I do recognize there are men or males who are sorry fathers.  There are numerous deadbeat fathers in our society who don't pay child support nor have any type of contact with their children.  However, that doesn't demean the importance of fatherhood.  On the other hand there are some women or females who make sorry mothers.  There have been news reports of some mothers throwing their newborns in the garbage can.  That's unnatural affection.  However, that doesn't demean the importance of motherhood or imply that most mothers are bad mothers.  Of course not.  Consequently, there are some in this society that want to denigrate the importance of fathers in a child's life.  Today, secular society wants to remake a man in a femine way and make him effeminate.  That's not a true father nor more than society attempting to masculanize a woman makes a true mother.  Both mothers and fathers have distinct roles in their children's lives, but the roles of both mother and father are equally important.  God created the family unit which consists of a mother and father.  The very first child that was born on earth was Cain.  His birth parents were Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve nor Mary and Eve.  The concept of homosexual parents is out of the pits of hell.  That's a perversion of parenthood.  A child needs the influence of both genders in his/her life in order to be a complete person.  If God was in favor of homosexual parenting, then there would've been one gender, instead of two.  God has a purpose in creating both male and female.  God's design for the family unit is for the child to have both a mother and father who are married prior to the conception of that child.

I quickly need to make a point concerning single mothers.  There are situations due to divorce, abandonment, death, or other situations where some mothers become single mothers.  I'm not in any way trying to belittle those women that are single mothers due to hardships.  My heart's out to those single mothers who have lost their husband and are trying to make it the best they could alone.  There are single mothers that despite their circumstances have done a great job in rearing their children alone.  The point I'm trying to stress is that single motherhood shouldn't be extolled as the ideal or another option, like Jennifer Aniston put it.  I'm in no way trying to belittle single mothers that are forced into that position.  There are many single mothers that have done very well in raising children given their circumstances.  I recognize it's easier for some mothers to raise their children by themselves than raising them with abusive or alcoholic husbands.

We need a rebirth of manhood in this society.  Children need to know what a man is and what it means to be a man.  The Word of God states what the roles of husband/father and mother/wife are.  Children need fathers who will work diligently to provide for their families and will sacrifice for the family's well-being.  That's what fathers are about.  They are the priests of their home.  They're also to discipline and teach their children in the right way.  Ephesians 5:22-33 talks about the relationship between the husband and wife and Ephesians 6:1-4 mentions about the children's relationship to their parents.  Our homes need to return to that model once again.  We need husbands that will live for God and love their wives as Christ loved the church.  The husband/father needs to be the provider/protector of the home.

It's a tragedy how society denigrates the roles not only of the mother but also of the father.  A country will be weak and leaderless without strong father figures in the home.  The only hope our children have is a strong stable home where both mother and father are fulfilling their God-given roles in the home.  Many of the problems children experience today would be eliminated if they had the kind of fatherly leadership that's so desperately lacking in the home.  The lives of America's children will lack stability until the father resumes his rightful place in the life of his children.
