The Georgia Runoff Election

Live updates: Georgia Senate runoff elections

Today is the big day.  The Georgia Senate runoff between Republican incumbents Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue against Democratic candidates Raphael Warnock and Jon Osoff was today.  I believe the polls are already closed in Georgia.  I believed they closed at 7:00 p.m. EST.  The balance of the Senate will hang on this election runoff.  Either the GOP will control the Senate or the Democrats will control the Senate.  If the Democrats control the Senate, then there's no telling what will transpire with both Houses of Congress being controlled by the Democrats along with Democratic president Joe Biden.  It will be tragic for our country.  It will make it easier for the communist agenda to be fulfilled if both houses are Democrat.  I know that the Republicans aren't great themselves.  But it will be tragic if the Democrats are in control of both houses.  We'll watch and see.

In Tuesday's special election in the sixth congressional district of Georgia, Republican Karen Handel easily defeated Democrat Jon Osoff in which turned out to be a huge victory in what was considered a possible referendum on next year's midterm election.  She replaced former Congressman Tom Price, who is now Health & Human Services Secretary.  She won 59.1% of the vote, compared to 49.1% for Jon Osoff.

In South Carolina, a Republican also won to replace former Congressman Mick Mulvaney, now President Trump's budget director.  Ralph Norman won South Carolina in the fifth Congressional District.  So far, in the special election races, Republicans have picked up all four of those races.  Click on CNSNews.com to read the full story.
