Moore Crushes Strange in Alabama Senate Primary
Republican challenger Roy Moore, a former state Supreme Court Justice, defeated Senator Luther Strange in Alabama's Republican primary Tuesday night. Strange was appointed to replace Attorney General Jeff Sessions seat following his appointment as Attorney General by President Trump. Moore won with 55% of the vote compared to Strange's 45% of the vote. Strange is the first Republican to lose a primary since Richard Lugar lost in the 2012 primary.
