Kerry: Energy Jobs Will be Replaced With "Greater Opportunity"
Climate Czar John Kerry
(Today we commemorate Earth Day, which officially began on April 22, 1970. Senator Gaylord Nelson was the U.S. Senator that started it. Since we 'celebrate' Earth Day today, I thought I would feature an article that falls along that subject.)
Climate Czar John Kerry defended Joe Biden's plan to reduce carbon emissions by 50% by 2030, arguing that the emerging demand for "green energy jobs" would replace existing energy jobs. Kerry stated he didn't believe it would result in much dislocation, but instead in more greater opportunities.
He spoke heavily of President Biden's plan to invest in electric vehicles and clean energy during the White House press briefings on Tuesday. He was using an example by citing the Industrial Revoltion where new jobs were created at a time of economic change. Kerry promoted green jobs as the new future such as electric cars, wind turbines and solar panels.
I'll believe it all when I see it. We've heard for the last couple of decades about new energy alternatives such as wind mills and solar panels, for example. How effective those examples would be in replacing the gas and oil industry is debatable. We've heard this wine and dance song before and nothing ever happens. Those that are promoting the "Green New Deal" are promoting socialism which is about controlling the lives of everyday Americans. Those that heavily promote environmentalism support socialism. That's what this movement is about.
