Obama: All Peoples Embrace the Meaning of Jesus
In a speech at a National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony Thursday night, President Obama didn't mention Jesus by name but stated that the meaning of Jesus' story is embraced all around the world regardless of how they pray or if they pray at all. He mentioned that the story dates back more than 2000 years ago.
In order to enjoy what the real meaning of Christmas is, you have to know the Saviour, who is Jesus Christ the Lord. You have to be born again and be forgiven of your sins in order to know what the true meaning of Christmas is all about. Many in the world may embrace Jesus who is a "historical figure" in their eyes. But He's more than that. He is Lord and Saviour of mankind. He makes a change in the hearts of men when He saves them. But there's more than just the fact that Jesus was born: He died upon the cross so that mankind could receive the free pardon of sin. Jesus' birth wouldn't have any significant meaning to it if it all just ended with his birth. But it didn't. He died upon Calvary's cross and rose again on the third day. He is alive forevermore. That makes Christmas worth celebrating. To read the full story, click on the above link from CNSNews.com.
