Senator Rand Paul (R-KY)Fresh from a Senate filibuster last week, Senator Rand Paul says he's seriously mulling over the possibility of placing his name in a 2016 presidential bid. Following the filibuster he launched last week in the Senate, he's now stating he's looking to seek the presidency. He mentioned back at the end of last year he might seek the office in 2016.
With the national exposure that Paul gained as a result of the Senate filibuster last week, he's trying to position himself as a candidate for president. What kind of chance does he have to win the GOP nomination in 2016? Very slim, if even that. However, he'll have the opportunity for all kinds of photo-ops and debates and a ton of national exposure whenever he's out on the campaign trail in 2016.
