Donald Trump Endorses Mitt Romney In Republican Presidential Race
Donald Trump Endorses Mitt Romney
Donald Trump, a real estate mogul who was mulling a presidential run last year, has endorsed former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney on Thursday on the famed Las Vegas strip. Prior to Trump's endorsement of Romney, rumors from Newt Gingrich's advisers were saying that Donald would be anointing Newt instead.
I'm not going to take the time to enunciate the details about Trump's endorsement of Romney. Prior to Thursday's announcement from Trump, there has been speculation that Donald Trump might run for a third-party presidential run. I've even speculated of the possibility more than once on this blog that Trump might decide to run as a third-party candidate. It still could happen. You never know. If Trump decides not to run for president on a third-party ticket, I'm certain somebody will step up to the plate and run on a third-party ticket whether it be Ron Paul or someone who gives voice to conservative, constitutional principles. Regarding Ron Paul, he will not win the Republican nomination for president. I think that's very obvious. You never know what his plans are when he officially drops out of the race. I do believe when the ink is dried that Romney will win the GOP nomination to face President Obama in the Fall. I believe if Romney wins the nomination, there's a good possibility that there will be a third-party candidate to announce his running for president this year. We'll wait and see.
