What to do in a Postchristian America: Keep Calm and Carry On
What to do in a Postchristian America

Eric Metaxas wrote an interesting article on what to do in a post-Christian America. I want to say first of all as important as it is for Christians to be politically involved in America when it comes to this year's presidential election, for example, the political system in America isn't going to save our country. I believe in voting for the right candidates when it comes to the election. I thank God for the huge turnout we had in the Republican caucus from where I was located in Kentucky. But voting out incumbents and putting in "Christian" candidates in power isn't going to save this country. To tell you the truth, most "Christian" politicians have been very disappointing. Our hope isn't in our government. America's hope is in God Almighty and unless we turn to Him to heal our land, our nation doesn't have a prayer. God's people need to get right with God and we need to see a great awakening in our country spiritually. Our priorities are wrong when it comes to spiritual things. God says in Matthew 6:33 that if we seek ye first the kingdom of God all these things shall be added unto you. We need God to move in our country and He needs to be acknowledged and recognized once again as Lord. Jesus is the only answer to the social ills of our nation. We need to rely on God. He's our only hope. If we go back on track spiritually speaking, then other things will fall into place in our lives.

Cruz and Trump Score Two Wins in Four State Race
Cruz and Trump Score Two Wins in Four State Race
GOP candidate Ted Cruz (R-TX)
In Saturday's four state GOP primary, Senator Ted Cruz snatched victories in the Maine caucus and the Kansas primary while Donald Trump snatched Kentucky and Louisiana. Kentucky was a close race but was finally called for Trump. In the Democratic primaries Hillary Clinton won in Louisiana while Bernie Sanders won both Nebraska and Kansas. However, Clinton's on the path to become the Democratic presidential nominee in the Fall while there's no sure clear-cut winner for the GOP primary yet. Ted Cruz has already won five states and is making his presence felt in the primary. Click on the above link to read the details.

The GOP Debate in Detroit
The GOP Debate in Detroit
Rivals Spar With Trump

Last night the Republican candidates were at it again. Rubio and Cruz were saying that Trump wasn't what he claimed to be and that he donated money to Hillary Clinton's 2008 presidential campaign, for example. I'll admit there are questions about Trump's character that need to be questioned, but I don't have any respect for Marco Rubio and not much for Ted Cruz. Rubio's been in the Senate for nearly six years and Cruz for 4 and neither one of them has done anything to rein in unconstitutional spending and many of President Obama's other policies. Those two have proven to me they aren't going to do anything. I would rather take a chance on Trump who hasn't held office vs. two Senators who haven't accomplished anything while in office. U.S. Has Record 10th Straight Year Without 3% GDP Growth
U.S. Has Record 10th Straight Year Without GDP Growth
In the last 10 straight years the United States hasn't experienced any real growth in the GDP. I venture to say much of that has to do with the heavy hand of government when it comes to stringent regulations which hinder the economy from flourishing. The last time the U.S. has experienced any real growth in the GDP was during the presidency of Ronald Reagan from the years 1983-89. Our country is transforming into a socialist nation, especially with the policies of the Obama administration. Obama's predecessor George W. Bush took us down that path as well but it has really accelerated under the Obama administration. Click on the above link to read the full story.
