Businessman David Perdue, running for his first political office in the state of Georgia, defeated 11-term Congressman Jack Kingston in the Republican Party primary runoff in Georgia today. He will face former Senator Sam Nunn's daughter, Michelle Nunn, in the general election in November. David Perdue, the cousin of former Georgia governor Sonny Perdue, is a former CEO of Dollar General and Reebok, and has cast himself as a former outsider in Washington.
