UCONN Defeats Kentucky
UConn wins its fourth national championship defeating Kentucky 60-54.
UCONN Defeats Kentucky
Starting with the postseason tournament in SEC play, Kentucky has traveled an incredible journey. Who would've thought that Kentucky would play for the national championship last Monday night when you consider that Kentucky had a disappointing regular season in the SEC. Not many people were expecting Kentucky to make much of a run. Kentucky was reminding me of last year's team. Then they started making a run in the SEC tournament by defeating LSU, Georgia, and narrowly losing to Florida in the championship game. Then in the NCAA Midwest Regional, Kentucky defeated Kansas State, Wichita State, Louisville, Michigan, and Wisconsin to play Connecticut in the championship game on Monday April 7, 2014. Even though they lost to Connecticut, Kentucky's future looks promising next year with the incoming recruits and possibly some of this year's freshmen to be a national contender once again next season.
