Romney: 'This Kick in the Gut Has Got to End'

GOP candidate and former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney said the June job numbers show that a new president is needed and "this kick in the gut" has got to end.  Romney made his comments while vacationing in New Hampshire last week, shortly after the government released new numbers showing only 80,000 new jobs created, leaving the unemployment rate at 8.2 percent for a second month in a row.  Romney said the 8.2 percent doesn't represent the number of Americans who are underemployed or have quit searching for a job.

Romney claims he would lower taxes, reduce regulations on energy producers, open new trade with Latin America and crack down on China which he described as unfair trade practices which steal American jobs.

One of the questions I have for Mr. Romney is what is he going to do about NAFTA and CAFTA, two of the trade agreements that have resulted in millions of American manufacturing jobs going overseas?  Another question I have for Romney is what are you going to do to employees that hire illegal aliens for cheap labor?  I don't have a problem with legal aliens working American jobs if they are documented and have been issued work permits.  However, public places of employment shouldn't be allowed to hire illegals to work jobs.

Romney is right that we definitely right when he said that America needs a new president.  Romney himself can't create jobs in the private sector as president.  However, he can remove regulations that hinder businesses from hiring new employees, for example.  Is he going to continue Obama's policies which will destroy capitalism.  Obama's goal is to destroy capitalism.  Will Mitt Romney work to reverse that trend?  Time will tell.
