Lawyers Have Already Drafted 13,000 Pages of Regulations for New ObamaTax Law | The Gateway Pundit
Those who believed President Obama and his cronies that the Affordable Health Care act wasn't a tax have been fooled. The U.S. Supreme Court in it's recent decision in late June stated that Obamacare is a tax and as a result upheld the existing healthcare law that was passed by a Democratic House and Senate in March 2010. According to the Gateway Pundit, we're going to be paying taxes to the wazoo (my words). It will also be very costly.
Republican Rep. Denny Rehberg stated that there are 13,000 pages of regulations and they're not even done yet. There has been much focus on the mandate concerning this healthcare law. According to analysts, that's just a small part of the law covering only a few pages out of the 2700 page document. Matt Spalding of the Heritage Foundation says the mandate only covers 2 percent out of the the whole piece of the legislation. Much bigger than the mandate itself are the insurance exchanges that will administer $681 billion in subsidies over 10 years, which will require a large number of federal workers at the IRS and the health department. It will require lawyers to write the new rules. Adding several hundred new federal employees will drive up the costs of Obamacare in itself.
Don't try to convince me Obamacare won't be expensive. It will be. It will definitely stifle growth if it isn't stopped. From what I'm seeing from our current elected officials (Republicans for the most part), don't expect them to trying to defund or repeal Obamacare. They're not trustworthy.
