President Trump in Announcing a Shutdown Deal Reached
President Donald Trump announced Friday from the White House Rose Garden that an agreement has been reached with the lawmakers on Capitol Hill on trying to reopen the federal government after the longest partial government shutdown. Trump has reached an agreement with Congress to reopen the government for three weeks until February 15th, therefore federal workers can receive their checks. He stated that if Congress doesn't reach an agreement with him by February 15th, then he'll shut the government down again and will use his executive authority to declare a national emergency to build the border wall. We'll see what happens. However, Trump better follow through with this and force the hands of Congress to fund the border wall. It's an absolute necessity.
