GOP frontrunner Donald Trump sent shockwaves throughout the political establishment concerning his platform on the American foreign policy speech. He stated that America was going to have a coherent policy based upon America's interests and the shared interests of our allies. He stated that the world must know that we don't go abroad in search of enemies. He said that we'll always be happy when our enemies become friends and old friends become allies. He said he wanted to bring peace to the world. Trump was castigating President Obama and his rival Hillary Clinton for their foreign policy during the president's administration. "Our foreign policy is a complete and total disaster. No. vision. No purpose. No direction. No strategy," he stated. "We've made the Middle East more unstable and chaotic than ever before." He criticized Obama and Hillary over the state of Libya in North Africa. He stated that our intervention allowed for the Islamic State to gain a foothold in that country. He's definitely right about that. President Obama doesn't even want to identify who our enemy is, and that's Islamic jihadists. Our troops have been in Iraq the second time since 2014 and we've been in Afghanistan since 2001. There's no signs of victory in sight in Afghanistan.
South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham, a leading neocon, was very critical of Trump's speech. He stated that Ronald Reagan must be turning over in his grave right now. He said the speech was unnerving and pathetic in its content. To read the comments of some of the other establishment members, click on the above llink from Infowars.com.
