Romney wins 105 Texas delegates on big night | ajc.com
Mitt Romney has finally secured the GOP nomination as he won 105 delegates in the Texas primary last Tuesday evening. That gives him more than 2/3's of the delegates up for grabs in the contest. According to the Associated Press, Romney has 1191 delegates, which is above the needed 1144 delegates needed to clinch the GOP nomination at the party's national convention in August.
