Ever since the terrorist attacks took place on 911, there have been theories abounding that the federal government has been complicit on the attacks that took place at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and Flight 93 which crashed in a field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.  There's a website called http://www.911truth.org/.  which seeks to uncover the truth behind the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001 committed by Islamists.  There are many pundits in the media who ridicule those who seek to question the media that want to know the truth about what really took place on 911.  They call those that believe there's more to the story than what's been revealed as "Truthers."  They are considered the lunatic fringe.  It's the same with those who believe that President Barack Obama isn't a natural-born citizen and thus isn't eligible to be president.  The media ridicules people such as Joseph Farah of the World Net Daily as "birthers."  That couldn't be further from the truth.  Phillip J. Berg, a lawyer who was once Deputy Attorney General in Philadelphia, filed a lawsuit against the Bush administration in October 2004 entitled, "Rodriguez vs. Bush" which accused the president of the United states along with 155 other parties in complicity of the 911 attacks. 

I haven't taken time to study all the different theories concerning 911.  I don't know if I could endorse all the allegations that the 911 for truth movement espouses, but I wouldn't be surprised if some of their allegations are true.  Could the federal government be complicit in the September 11, 2001 attacks?  I don't know but it wouldn't surprise.  I personally don't believe former president George W. Bush was behind the attacks, but I wouldn't be surprised if there were some in the CIA or other government agencies that had a hand in the attacks.  As corrupt as the government is, nothing would surprise me.  One thing I do know for certain is there was a briefing in August 2001 that Osama bin Laden wanted to hijack planes.  Former National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice received that briefing and did nothing to act upon it.  There were warning signs that Osama bin Laden and Al-Qaeda wanted to wage jihad against certain iconic symbols in America.  The federal government was made aware that the 911 hijackers such as Zacarias Moussaoui wanted to fly an airplane but didn't care about taking off or landing an airplane.  He was arrested on August 16, 2001 by the FBI on an immigration charge. 

I do believe the attacks were preventable and the federal government refused to heed the warning signs that were obvious that a terrorist attack was imminent.  That's for certain.  I wouldn't be surprised if the government on some level played a hand in the attacks.  It wasn't too long following the attacks that the Patriot Act was passed, which is a violation of the Fourth Amendment.  It gave the government the excuse to clamp down on the constitutional rights of the U.S. citizens.  I have linked up a website called News One which lists the 11 most compelling conspiracy theories of 911.  Regardless of what your belief might be about September 11, it would behoove us to have an open mind when it comes to learning the truth.  It's the truth that sets us free.  If you believe that the government-media complex (A term Michael Savage coined.) has told us the full truth of 911, I believe you have been fulled.  I can't trust the average mainstream media for the truth whether left or right.  The media is nothing but monkey boys to our politicians.  They don't search for the truth.  They're all about propaganda and spin.
