Boehner: No Progress on Bush-Era Tax Cuts Before Election

Boehner: No Progress on Bush-Era Tax Cuts Before Election

PreviewHouse Speaker John Boehner

John Boehner on 60 Minutes

It's a shame John Boehner (R-OH) is the Speaker of the House.  He's been absolutely worthless as House Speaker.  He allows President Obama to have his way when it comes to implementing socialism in America.  John Boehner and his Republican colleagues all like to speak about reducing the size and scope of government but their words aren't backed by their actions.  All those campaign promises in 2010 in the Republicans' "Pledge to America" mean nothing.  Boehner has been speaking about the need to repeal Obamacare and to cut Congress.  He even mentioned in the past that defunding Obamacare may be an option.  What has he done by his position as House Speaker to see that happens?  Nothing.  He needs to step down as House Speaker.  Somebody else needs to take over that mantle.  The problem is regardless who takes over as the next House Speaker, the results will be the same.

John Boehner has been saying over and over that high taxes will cripple the American economy.  Boehner knows that at the end of 2012 that the Bush tax cuts will expire and major tax hikes will automatically take place next year.  He's now saying that he doesn't expect Congress to complete extension of the Bush tax cuts before the November election.  With all the influence he supposedly wields as House Speaker, he's a joke.  He could find ways to make it happen if he was serious enough about keeping this nation afloat economically.  These automatic tax hikes will further cripple a sagging economy.

I get tired of this clown appearing before camera on different occasions crying like he's concerned about the young people having a chance at the American Dream.  He's not standing up for the average American.  He's allowing President Obama and his Democratic colleagues have their way in destroying this country.  He's a rollover for the President.

Washington Times: Nearly One in Ten Employers to Drop Health Coverage

Nearly one in 10 employers to drop health coverage - Washington Times

Supporters of President Obama's health care law celebrate June 28, 2012 outside the Supreme Court after the court's ruling was announced. A narrow 5-4 majority led by Chief Justice G. Roberts Jr. upheld the controversial 2010 law. (Associated Press)

Last week I heard financial guru David Ramsey read an article over the radio from the Washington Times.  He was reading an article from them entitled, "Nearly One in 10 Employers to Drop Health Coverage."  I thought it was such an interesting article that I decided to link this article for today's post.  Some of you that are very supportive of the Affordable Care Act of 2010 don't know the ramifications involved in this bill.  Most of the key provisions of this new healthcare law will be implemented in 2014.  Many people will be surprised the disastrous effect Obamacare will have on businesses once it's fully implemented.  I've heard House Speaker John Boehner say numerous times that Obamacare is nothing but a job killer.  He's fully correct.  I support that statement even though I'm no John Boehner fan.  John Boehner needs to step aside and resign from the House Speaker position.  That in itself is another story.

If the House doesn't move to defund Obamacare immediately, then numerous small businesses will be reducing their payroll staff just to stay alive.  Employers with 50+ employees will face a penalty starting at $2000 per worker if they don't provide health coverage for their employees.  The unemployment rate will be very high with Obamacare in full force.

Billy Graham, Conservatives Rally Around Chick-fil-A

Billy Graham, Conservatives Rally Around Chick-fil-A

My hat's off to Dan Cathy, Chick-fil-A president, who had the courage in an onslaught of criticism concerning their Biblical stance on the definition of the family unit to stand firm and not back down on what  the Bible says.  Chick-fil-A, a Christian based restaurant, has always stood on Biblical principle when it comes to running a restaurant.  Since the first Chick-fil-A restaurant was opened in 1967, the Cathy's have always honored God when it comes to running their restaurants.  Chick-fil-A has always been closed on Sundays since it first opened its doors.  The Cathy family are Southern Baptists and have never been ashamed of their faith.  Chick-fil-A, an Atlanta-based company, refused to reconsider to open its doors on Sundays even when the 1996 Summer Olympics were taking place in Atlanta.  I appreciate a restaurant that places Biblical principle over profits.  Chick-fil-A also boasts of having the only college football bowl game with an invocation.

Earlier this month, Chick-fil-A caught the ire of gay rights groups over the restaurant's stance over gay marriage and the Biblical definition of a family.  Gay rights activists have called for a boycott, the Jim Henson Co. pulled its Muppet toys from children's meals, and politicians in Boston and Chicago have told the chain it isn't welcome there.

Former Arkansas Governor and Baptist minister Mike Huckabee is declaring this coming Wednesday as "Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day" to support a business who's executives are willing to take a stand for Godly values, according to Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum, who also joined in the cause.  Evangelist Billy Graham, who has milked many a cow over his lifetime, said he was going to support Chick-fil-A in its cause next Wednesday.

Daily Presidential Tracking Poll: Romney in Lead

Daily Presidential Tracking Poll - Rasmussen Reports™

Poll: Romney moves into leadMitt Romney

According to the Daily Presidential Tracking Poll from Rasmussen Reports, GOP candidate Mitt Romney is attracting 49% of the vote, while President Obama earns support from 44%.  Three percent prefer some other candidate and four percent are undecided.  These numbers are similar to the 49% - 43% numbers that are in Romney's advantage in answer to the question "Who is trusted most to handle the economy?"  Romney's five-point advantage is the largest enjoyed by either candidate in just over a month.  Whether or not it marks a lasting change or it will fluctuate as before remains to be seen.  One thing I do believe is if Romney does have a chance to win the race, it will be very close.  Mitt Romney must be more competitive in this race if he has a chance to win.

The problem is many conservative voters are wary of him because of his shifting positions on abortion, for example, and due to the fact he played a role in the passage of Obamacare in April 2006 while he was still governor of Massachusetts.

'Obama's America' Director: Obama Cares Only for His Agenda

'Obama's America' Director: Obama Cares Only for His Agenda

Dinesh D'Souza Speaks about Barack Obama: The Movie 2016

Dinesh D'Souza, who is known for his best-selling book, "The Roots of Obama's Rage", told Newsmax TV about his recent new documentary entitled, "2016--Obama's America," that he didn't set out to lambaste Barack Obama before the November election.  He stated the idea wasn't so much of a "don't vote for Obama" film as much as it is "Who is the real Obama?" film in an exclusive interview on Tuesday.  "It's a film that sort of raises the curtain on this mysterious man in the White House, a man who is sort of different than the other presidents we've had before."  The film is billed as a gripping visual journey into the heart of the world's most powerful office to reveal the struggle of whether one man's past will redefine America over the next four years.  The film seeks to answer the question, what will America be like in 2016 should the president be re-elected to a second term?  D'Souza pointed out that Democrats traditionally support the redistribution of wealth in America.  But Obama wants to re-align America in the world.  In his inauguration speech, he called it "remaking America."  DSouza interviewed  President Obama's half-brother George, for the film in Kenya.

UPDATE – ABC Corrects Report: ABC News’ Brian Ross Links Colorado Shooter To Local Tea Party | Mediaite

UPDATE – ABC Corrects Report: ABC News’ Brian Ross Links Colorado Shooter To Local Tea Party | Mediaite

Brian Ross, who alleged that there may be a link between the alleged Colorado shooter and the Tea Party.

Let's blame the Tea Party for the sad state of affairs in America today.  From the tragic shooting of Former Arizona Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ) and some of her top aides and other people on January 8, 2011, to the shooting at a theater in Aurora, Colorado at midnight this past Friday.  What other group to blame but the Tea Party.  The Tea Party, which was recently formed in 2009 and encouraged by Rick Santelli due to the growth and size of the federal government, is always targed by the major news media for shootings or violence that takes place in America.  The Tea Party is always at fault.  Big media is always looking for an excuse to link the Tea Party to some crazy psycho.  According to the leftist media, the Tea partiers are nothing but bigots and racist white folk who hate minorities.  Why doesn't the media ever point the finger at all the violence on Hollywood films?  Wouldn't all the blood, guts, killings, and shootings that's portrayed on the television screen and in the movie theaters incite violence amongst our young people?  It sounds more reasonable to make that assertion than Brian Ross's assertion that the alleged shooter is a member of Colorado's local Tea Party without any concrete evidence.

Last Friday on ABC's Good Morning America George Stephanopoulos, Brian Ross reported that there may be a link between alleged Colorado shooter Jim Holmes and the Tea Party.  "There's a Jim Holmes or Aurora, Colorado page on the Colorado Tea Party site as well, talking about him joining the Tea Party.  They didn't know at first if it was the same Jim Holmes.  ABC News has issued a correction to their earlier report and has concluded that the alleged shooter wasn't connected to the Tea Party.  Good for them.  I'm glad they finally corrected it.  They should've been cautious before trying to insinuate that this Jim Holmes, the shooter, is the same Jim Holmes that belongs to the Tea Party in Colorado.  Consequently, ABC doesn't care if it's careless when it comes to their reporting.  As long as it further denigrates the Tea Party and says they're nothing but racist homophobes and terrorists, that's all that counts as long as it promotes the Leftist agenda.

Sally Ride, First U.S. Woman in Space, Dies at 61

Sally Ride, first U.S. woman in space, dies at 61 – USATODAY.com

First female Astronaut Sally Ride

Sally Ride, the first female astronaut who was the fist U.S. woman to ride the space shuttle into space on June 18, 1983, has died at age 61.  She was more than just a physicist, educator, and astronaut.  She carried the hopes and aspirations of a generation on the fight, a symbol of the ascent of women into space.  She died Monday in La Jolla, California of pancreatic cancer.  In her lifetime, she twice visited space, took a leading role in NASA's response to both space shuttle disasters and devoted herself to education.  She was seeking to inspire more young women to pursue life in science.  "Sally was a national hero and a powerful role model.  She inspired generations of young girls to reach for the stars," President Obama said in a statement.

Ride was part of the first class of female astronauts in 1978, which was a turn away from the exclusively male, military pilots of the Apollo era to mission specialists, doctors, and scientists in the space shuttle era.  Her launch riveted the nation, the seventh space shuttle trip sent to orbit and the second sent by the space shuttle Challenger.

Ride focused her efforts on education in encouraging girls to pursue a career in science, technology, and engineering which was the most important to her.  She refocused her efforts after leaving NASA to teach at the University of California-San Diego.  She also founded her own company, Sally Ride Science, which organized camps, festivals, and an academy to inspire children.

Penn State Fined $60 Million, Hit With Harsh Penalties

Penn State fined $60M, Paterno's wins vacated from 1998-2011 | Fox News

Yesterday the NCAA imposed some very harsh penalties on Penn State following former assistant coach Jerry Sandusky's conviction of molesting young boys for a number of years.  Penn State's football program was all but dismantled by the NCAA ruling which wiped away former head coach Joe Paterno's victories from 1998 until last year and imposed a mountain of fines and penalties.  The sanctions by the governing body imposed unprecedented fines of $60 million, ordered Penn State to sit out of postseason play for four years, capped scholarships at 20 below the normal limit for four years and placed football on five years probation.  Current or incoming football players are free to immediately transfer and compete at another school.

By vacating 112 Penn State victories from 1998-2011, the sanctions cost Paterno 112 wins.  Former Florida State Coach Bobby Bowden will be credited with the most victories--377 major college wins.  Paterno, who was fired from Penn State days after Sandusky was charged, now is credited with 298 wins.  It's a sad day in college football for Penn State.  But maybe it will teach other major college football programs that covering up the sins of a pedophile will be very costly, and rightly so.  To read the full story about Monday's latest ruling from the NCAA, click on the above link from FoxNews.com.

The Colorado Theater Shooting

At least 12 dead, 59 injured in Colorado theater shooting during 'Dark Knight Rises' | Fox News

Police have been questioning the suspect gunmen in Friday morning's shooting at a crowded midnight screening of the new Batman movie, "The Dark Night Rises" in Aurora, Colorado.  12 people were left dead and 59 others wounded.  It was the deadliest U.S. shooting since the Fort Hood Massacre in 2009.  The suspect was identified by law enforcement officials as James Egan Holmes, 24.  He's in police custody.  Aurora Police Chief Dan Oates stated that authorities are 'confident' that Holmes was clad in all body armor and wore black--acted alone and used an AR-15 assault rifle, a shotgun and a .40 caliber handgun in the attack.  Another handgun was also found in his car, which was parked outside of the theater.

KUSA-TV reports that Holmes kicked down an emergency door at the theater, threw in some type of smoke bomb and began shooting when moviegoers started to run.  The bodies of the ten people who died at the theater remained at the scene early Friday, which police were investigating.   NYPD commissioner Raymond Kelly told reporters during a news conference that Holmes had painted his hair red and said he was "The Joker", Batman's nemesis who doesn't appear in the latest film.

Romney: Obama Wants Americans to be 'Ashamed of Success'

Romney: Obama wants Americans to be 'ashamed of success' | Fox News

GOP candidate Mitt Romney on the campaign stump

GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney, who was out on the campaign stump Tuesday, commented on President Obama's comments on the relationship between government and business.  Romney said his opponents wants Americans to be 'ashamed of success'.  The presidential candidate seized on Obama's statement in which he said businesses owed their success in large part to government investment and said to business owners, 'you didn't build that.'  What a slap on the face to business owners!  Does President Obama mean that?  I know I probably will sound like an Obama basher to some people, but I really do believe he means it.  Throughout the 2008 campaign trail and throughout Obama's presidency, he's been busy hammering businesses.  If you take a look at the legislation that was passed during the first two years of the Obama administration such as the Affordable Care Act of 2010 and the Dodd-Frank bill of 2010, the legislation does nothing but stifle business and job growth.  President Obama tries to give the impression that he's business friendly, but unless he supports CEO giants such as Jeffrey Immelt of General Electric or Warren Buffett, who support Obama's presidential campaign, Obama and his cronies have done nothing but make it more difficult for small businesses to flourish and operate, much less hire new employees.  President Obama has engaged in the takedown of capitalism as president.  He's invested billions in Solyndra for the production of 'solar energy', but there's no money in solar energy.  Even though President Obama orchestrated the bailout of General Motors, GM has produced a flood of cars nobody desires.  On top of that General Motors has moved jobs to China.  They're building factories in China.  How does that stimulate the American economy?  It doesn't.

President Obama always engages in class warfare and always says the rich aren't paying their fair share.  The president has recently said he supports the extension of the Bush tax cuts for those families making under $250,000 but those who make more than that need to pay more in taxes.  The truth is when taxes are increased on the wealthy, the middle and lower classes will feel the brunt of increased taxes upon the wealthy.  The price of goods will increase as a result of increasing taxes on the wealthy.  President Obama wants to credit government for businesses flourishing.  I have some news for the president:  All the money that comes from government investment stems from taxpayers.  Taxpayers work at private sector jobs in order for them to pay taxes to the government.

DHS Will Let Fla. Access Data to Purge Non-Citizens from Voting Rolls

DHS Will Let Fla. Access Data to Purge Non-Citizens from Voting Rolls | CNSNews.com

Florida Voter List PurgeFlorida Governor Rick Scott in this May 16th photo (AP)

In a victory for Florida, the federal government has finally granted Florida the right to use a law enforcement database to challenge people's right to vote if they're suspected of not being U.S. citizens.  The agreement was made in a letter to Governor Rick Scott's administration and was obtained by the Associated Press.  It grants the state access to a list of resident noncitizens maintained by the Homeland Security Department.  The Obama administration has denied Florida's request for months but finally relented after a judge ruled in the state's favor in a related voter-purge matter.

This is a great victory for Florida, regardless which political party it benefits.  This is not about benefitting any political party.  This is about enforcing the law when it comes to voter fraud.  Illegal aliens and anybody that's not qualified to vote shouldn't be allowed to vote.  That's why each state should have a particular system when it comes to voter registration.  The right to vote is for those who are U.S. citizens and for those who are legally qualified to vote.  That just makes sense.  It's tragic when a state has no way to determine those who are qualified to vote and those who aren't qualified to vote because the federal government is in favor of illegals voting.  I know the Obama administration and many Democrats wouldn't naturally be in favor of it because part of the president's core constituency consists of Hispanics, some which aren't U.S. citizens.  I'm glad justice has prevailed and the state of Florida will have the ability to purge those from their voter rolls which aren't qualified to vote.

The Hill Poll: Majority of Voters Believe Obama Has Changed the Country For the Worse

The Hill Poll: Majority of voters believe Obama has changed country for worse - TheHill.com

Poll; Majority of Americans believe Obama has changed the country...for the worse

According to the latest Hill Poll, two-thirds of voters say that President Obama has kept his 2008 promises during his presidential campaign that year.  The only difference was those promises were for the worse.  The new poll found 56% of likely voters believe President Obama's first term has transformed this nation in a negative way, compared to 35% who believed his leadership has changed America for the better.  The results signals broad unease with the American public's mood in regards to President Obama's leadership in this country.  It also makes it difficult for many of the Democratic incumbents seeking re-election this November.  Conducted for The Hill by Pulse Opinion Research, the poll comes in the wake of last month's recent Supreme Court decision that upheld President Obama's signature achievement by the signing of the Affordable Care Act in 2010.

Anybody that paid any attention to some of the statements that then-candidate Barack Obama made in 2008 should've recognized that the change Obama was talking about when he was speaking of transforming the country that he wasn't speaking of turning our country in the direction that our nation's founders spoke of during Colonial times.  When he told Joe the Plumber that he believed in redistribution of wealth, it's obvious that President Obama had contempt for our nation's economic system.  He showed that he was a socialist by those statements he made on the campaign trail.  The Obama administration has been working toward that end since his inauguration in January 2009.  The president has been very successful in implementing his agenda.  It's just not the agenda that some of the voters had hoped when they voted for him.  The other group of voters who voted for him were wanting free healthcare, free housing, and welfare benefits.  They are bums.  They were wanting the government to supply all their physical needs.  That's part of President Obama's voting base.

Republicans Accuse HHs of Gutting Welfare Reform With Quiet Policy Change

Republicans accuse HHS of gutting welfare reform with quiet policy change | Fox News

sebelius_kathleen_062012.jpg
Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius speaks at Covenant Community Care in New York.

The hard-fought welfare reform agreement struck by President Bill Clinton and a Republican-led Congress in 1996 is being gutted by the Department of Health and Human Services, according to Republicans.  The department has quietly notified states that they may seek a waiver for the program's strick work requirements.  The HHS made the announcement in a policy memo Thursday.  A few prominent GOP lawmakers on Capitol Hill picked up on the change, and accused the administration of overhauling one of the most important bipartisan agreements of the past several decades.

Should that be a surprise that an executive cabinet can change one of the basic requirements of the welfare reform law back in 1996?  President Obama believes he has the right to create laws out of fiat, or an executive order.  Nullifying laws passed by Congress in the past means nothing to President Obama.  He wouldn't like it if Republicans were trying to do anything to strike down Obamacare.  Consequently, anything that fulfills President Obama's socialist agenda is fine with him and his socialist liberals.

What's even more tragic is that Republicans aren't holding the president accountable for anything.  They present their talking points that this is an outrage but they won't hold the president accountable.  The GOP-led House is worthless.

Don't be surprised that the HHS is striking down the provision which would require welfare recipients to be working in order to qualify for welfare benefits.  This is backwards from the direction our nation should be going concerning welfare.  However, this is what the administration desires because it places more people on the government dole.  It will help strengthen his base when it comes to this November's election.

Tribe: John Roberts, 'Student of Mine' Will Uphold Obamacare

Tribe: John Roberts, ‘student of mine,’ will uphold Obamacare | WashingtonExaminer.com

shrum-chief-roberts-obamacare
U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts along with the other justices of the Supreme Court

Laurence Tribe, the nation's lead constitutional scholar who was once the professor of Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts at his Harvard law class, had already predicted the outcome.  He suspected that the Court would uphold Obamacare as the "law of the land."  Obamacare was classified as constitution by stating that the individual mandate is a tax and Congress has the power to tax.  John Roberts went along with his liberal colleagues in upholding the law.  As I stated a few weeks ago, when it really counts, our so-called conservative friends in high places are nowhere to be found.  There isn't a "conservative" lawmaker you can trust when it's required of then to stand in the gap to be counted.  It's a tragedy.  I project Obamacare will be fully implemented in 2014.  The GOP, including GOP frontrunner Mitt Romney if he's elected in November, aren't going to repeal or even defund Obamacare.

House Approves ObamaCare Repeal in First Vote Since Supreme Court Ruling

House approves ObamaCare repeal in first vote since Supreme Court ruling | Fox News

House lawmakers voted for the first time since the Supreme Court ruling at the end of June to repeal Obamacare once again.  The Republican-led House had previously voted against Obamacare in January 2011.  Consequently, it never went pass the House because the Democrat-controlled Senate voted it down.  As was the last time, this vote was nothing more than symbolic.  The bill to repeal the law was by a 244-185 vote.  The House's vote to repeal Obamacare will go nowhere because the Senate is controlled by the Democrats and President Obama is still the president.  House Republicans know this.  I believe they held this symbolic vote to give the false impression to conservative voters they are very serious about repealing Obamacare.  I'm not convinced of that.  The House Republicans need to get together to defund Obamacare, which they could do since they are in the majority.  Fox News states that the House has voted 30 times to scrap, defund, or undercut the law since Obama signed it into law in March 2010.  If the House voted to defund Obamacare, then it wasn't a serious vote.  The House can defund Obamacare since it has Republican votes.  I believe this is all a joke.  The Republicans want to persuade conservative and independent minded voters to believe they are serious about repealing Obamacare since this is a presidential and Congressional election year.

The Republicans prove my point all the time it's all about the issue.  They want the issue but they have no intention to solve the problem.  I wish they would stop campaigning on repealing the Affordable Care Act.  I would respect them if they would stop campaigning on this issue if they're not serious about doing what it takes to stop this bill which would change America's economic and social landscape as we know it.  Repealing Obamacare will be very difficult considering all the bureaucracy and legislation that will be involved in this monstrosity.

Sen. Hatch: ‘I Still Have a Very High Opinion of Chief Justice Roberts’ | CNSNews.com

Sen. Hatch: ‘I Still Have a Very High Opinion of Chief Justice Roberts’ | CNSNews.com

hatch Utah Senator Orrin Hatch

It's a great tragedy that Senator Orrin Hatch was re-elected for a seventh term as U.S. Senator more than likely.  I doubt very seriously that Scott Howell is going to defeat Orrin Hatch this November, given the fact that Utah is a Republican state.  It would probably be better if Howell is elected for one term as a new Democrat vs. an incumbent Republican that's two-faced.  The opinion that Roberts wrote concerning the constitutionality of Obamacare is a travesty.  The Supreme Court upheld the individual mandate of Obamacare as constitutional.  The Roberts-led court ruled that it's constitutional as a tax.  Roberts found a loophole to keep Obamacare legal.  I personally believe it was planned that way before the ruling took place on June 28.  The socialist Democrats are determined to keep Obamacare in place.  And the Republicans are content with it being that way.  Senator Hatch can say all he desires but if he was seriously opposed to goverrment-mandated healthcare, then he would've staged a filibuster to help prevent the passage of the Affordable Healthcare Act.  During the 1960's Democratic leaders in the Senator such as the late Senator Robert Byrd (D-WV), was involved in filibustering the 1964 Civil Rights Act.  If Hatch and his Republican ilk believed that Obamacare would be the undoing of America, then why didn't they filibuster this monstrous bill?  It's because they're content with big, intrusive government.  Hatch is nothing but "filler" opposition.  In other words, Orrin Hatch is just a RINO giving limited opposition to appear he's very opposed to "Obamacare."

Hatch has proven in years past he's a RINO.  He was a good friend of the late Senator Ted Kennedy (D-MA), who worked with Kennedy on key liberal issues.  He also has been soft on illegal immigration as well.  He also supported the nomination of Ruth Bader Ginsberg to the U.S. Supreme Court, who was a very liberal appointee by then president Bill Clinton.  Hatch and these other RINO's in the House and Senate need to be voted out this November.

Obama Pushes for Tax Hikes on Top Earners

Obama pushes for tax hike on top earners, extension of Bush-era rates for others | Fox News

President Obama, in his continual quest to stir class warfare, has proposed Monday for a tax hike on families earning more than $250,000, and an extension of the Bush tax cuts for families earning less than $250,000.  The President, speaking in the East Room in the White House, said he wanted to break the stalemate over taxes.  He said that extending tax cuts to top earners puts too much of a hole in the federal budget, saying we can't afford to keep that up.  He said we need to extend the Bush tax cuts for families earning less than $250,000 because it would be a blow on families and a drag on the economy.  I have some news for President Obama:  Increasing taxes on the wealthy will hinder job recovery in America.  The way to grow the economy is to dramatically decrease taxes on those who are most likely to create jobs.  I have a better solution: Let's eliminate the tax code and institute a flat or a sales tax.  The progressive tax code is choking America to death.  It places the tax burden upon those who are wealthy to keep the government afloat.  Those who earn $20,000 or less don't pay any taxes to the government.  That isn't right.  Anybody who works a job should pay their fair share of taxes.  There aren't enough wealthy people to supply the needed revenue to keep the federal government afloat.  What's needed is for unconstitutional spending and unconstitutional programs to be axed from the budget.  Also, the tax rates on all levels need to be lowered and most of the government regulations need to be eliminated so business owners can have some room to grow their business and hire more employees.  Unless the employment rate improves dramatically, the economy will continue sliding, which is the goal of the Obama administration.

The Bush-era tax cuts are to expire at the end of 2012.  Whether or not the Republicans in Congress have the political will to push for extension of the cuts is something we'll know for certain later this year.  To read the full story, click on the above link from FoxNews.com.

GOP candidate and former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney said the June job numbers show that a new president is needed and "this kick in the gut" has got to end.  Romney made his comments while vacationing in New Hampshire last week, shortly after the government released new numbers showing only 80,000 new jobs created, leaving the unemployment rate at 8.2 percent for a second month in a row.  Romney said the 8.2 percent doesn't represent the number of Americans who are underemployed or have quit searching for a job.

Romney claims he would lower taxes, reduce regulations on energy producers, open new trade with Latin America and crack down on China which he described as unfair trade practices which steal American jobs.

One of the questions I have for Mr. Romney is what is he going to do about NAFTA and CAFTA, two of the trade agreements that have resulted in millions of American manufacturing jobs going overseas?  Another question I have for Romney is what are you going to do to employees that hire illegal aliens for cheap labor?  I don't have a problem with legal aliens working American jobs if they are documented and have been issued work permits.  However, public places of employment shouldn't be allowed to hire illegals to work jobs.

Romney is right that we definitely right when he said that America needs a new president.  Romney himself can't create jobs in the private sector as president.  However, he can remove regulations that hinder businesses from hiring new employees, for example.  Is he going to continue Obama's policies which will destroy capitalism.  Obama's goal is to destroy capitalism.  Will Mitt Romney work to reverse that trend?  Time will tell.

Trump: Obama Will Start Iran War to Win Election

Trump: Obama will start Iran war to win election

Real Estate Developer Donald Trump

Real Estate mogul Donald Trump told Fox News' Great Van Susteran via phone that he's predicting that President Barack Obama will start a war with Iran to aid his chances of getting re-elected in November.  The billionaire developer made his prediction both on the Internet and television Tuesday.  Trump tweeted on Tuesday, "Just as I predicted, Barack Obama is preparing a possible attack on Iran right before November."  Trump told Greta that he believes that Obama believes that some form of war is politically good for Obama.  Trump said he's been making that prediction for a year-and-a-half and he believes the U.S. will be involved in some form of war with Iran.

I've heard for the last few years that there's a possibility the U.S. might go to war with Iran.  I heard that before George W. Bush finished his term in office in 2009.  Whether or not we go to war with Iran before the November election is something we'll have to wait and see.  I believe if Obama's handlers want war with Iran before the November election, then I'm sure it will happen.  If the forces of Nimrod desire for Obama to be re-elected in November, then they'll do whatever it takes to make it a reality.

Extreme heat bakes Midwest, parts of East Coast | Fox News

Those of you who live in the Midwest and in parts of the East Coast better stay cool and drink lots of fluid.  Throughout the country, there have been 30 people that have died as a result of the unrelenting heat across half the country.  The temperature was soaring over 100 degrees in several cities such as Washington (105), St. Louis (106), and Indianapolis (104).  The heat sent temperatures soaring in more than 20 states to 105 in Louisville, Kentucky, 101 in Philadelphia, and 95 in New York.  Besides Washington, a record of 104 was set in Sioux Falls, S.D. and Baltimore set a record at 102.

Lawyers Have Already Drafted 13,000 Pages of Regulations for New ObamaTax Law

Lawyers Have Already Drafted 13,000 Pages of Regulations for New ObamaTax Law | The Gateway Pundit

Those who believed President Obama and his cronies that the Affordable Health Care act wasn't a tax have been fooled.  The U.S. Supreme Court in it's recent decision in late June stated that Obamacare is a tax and as a result upheld the existing healthcare law that was passed by a Democratic House and Senate in March 2010.  According to the Gateway Pundit, we're going to be paying taxes to the wazoo (my words).  It will also be very costly.

Republican Rep. Denny Rehberg stated that there are 13,000 pages of regulations and they're not even done yet.  There has been much focus on the mandate concerning this healthcare law.  According to analysts, that's just a small part of the law covering only a few pages out of the 2700 page document.  Matt Spalding of the Heritage Foundation says the mandate only covers 2 percent out of the the whole piece of the legislation.  Much bigger than the mandate itself are the insurance exchanges that will administer $681 billion in subsidies over 10 years, which will require a large number of federal workers at the IRS and the health department.  It will require lawyers to write the new rules.  Adding several hundred new federal employees will drive up the costs of Obamacare in itself.

Don't try to convince me Obamacare won't be expensive.  It will be.  It will definitely stifle growth if it isn't stopped.  From what I'm seeing from our current elected officials (Republicans for the most part), don't expect them to trying to defund or repeal Obamacare.  They're not trustworthy.  To read the full story, click on the above link from GatewayPundit.com.

Wars May Make Heroes But Heroes Never Make War

Lamenting The Lost Legacy Of Independence Day - Forbes

Wars May Make Heroes But Heroes Never Make War

Several years ago gospel songwriter Dottie Rambo wrote a song entitled, "Wars May Make Heroes But Heroes Never Make War."  I agree with that statement.  I don't believe a true hero is somebody who's looking for an opportunity to be in the limelight.  I don't believe a hero will start a war so he can prove he's a hero.  Those kind of people are nothing but opportunists.  When you read the Beautitudes in the book of Matthew, Jesus says "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God." (Matthew 5:9).  That doesn't mean that peacemakers are appeasers.  That doesn't mean that a peacemaker winks at evil that's threatening to destroy his country.  Peacemakers are simply those that don't resort to war as the first choice.  Heroes don't resort to war unless there's no other choice.  Heroes will stand in the gap and fight when the time calls for it.  But they aren't looking for an opportunity to bask in the lifelight.  They take up their arms and fight when duty calls.  They do it out of a sense of love and duty for their country. That's what has made our country so special over the 236 years of our nation's existence.  They have given their lives for our country when duty has called for them to fight.  I thank God for all the heroes that put on a uniform and put their lives on the line for our country.

I want to take this time and give my high regards for all the soldiers and heroes who have made American special.  I hope everyone takes time to pay tribute to Independence Day today.  Our freedoms were bought with a price.
